One Of Those Days

Hi friends!
Yesterday I cut me some parts and was all ready to sew when I noticed my first seam had skips every where!
I always sew on my featherweight so for a hour I adjusted this and tried a seam , adjusted something else and sewed a seam.
Finally I used this little thing on my tension wheels and it worked!
I think Sis bought these and gave me some.
They work good on places that collect lint.
But I spend all my sewing time trying to get it to sew so didn't get a block made!
Did get my tri-angles sewed and cut and pressed.
So today should get a few stars made.
This is really spreading!  Pushing over my other flowers so I guess I had better transplant some.
I don't buy any more just transplant !

Veterans Quilt

Hi friends!
This is the middle block that I was making some blocks  big for.
Bought a bunch of these when we went to Ala to a quilt shop just for making Vets quilts!
That star is very light!
It will go some where in this quilt !
Don't know where yet!
My Gardener is beautiful this year. Don't think that is spelled right!
They smell so good. Bought two but the other one died. Bought two of another to but one of them died. After that I quit buying!
I have put that sparkly fabric some where so I guess I will spend today looking, or taking that off and using something else.
That's what happens when you work on something and put it up for later.

Random!

Hi friends!
Not much sewing done yesterday!
Worked on this binding!
And stacked up my flannel.
But couldn't  find   a place to put it!
Do you'll have that problem?
So it's still sitting there, Guess I will have to clean just to make a spot for it.

Stars

Hi friends!
That stump where we had that big tree cut in our front yard now has a tomato plant growing on it.
Don't have any idea how it got there!
We planted 14 tomato plants in our garden. That makes 15!
These four is now: this!
Two of them  are bigger but I made them to the size of the flag that I am putting in the middle.
Took me a few minutes to remember that!
Made one more mask but I am not finished. Trying to make one that works and is comfortable.
The corners hang down on this one when you wear it anywhere.
So back to the drawing board!

Stay Safe

Hi friends!~
Still making stars!
The one on right side bottom is kind of washed out!
Got a few more done but don't know where I stuck them! Plan to look for  and hang those to just to see what I do have made.
My mother's day flowers are looking good.
This is what was left from the basket Chris and Amy got me last year.
I found some top soil and transplanted my flower I bought.
Gave it some room to grow.
Was pouring down rain earlier this morning, don't guess we will ever get the ground dry enough to plant some more.
Rain in the forecast for the next week.

Just Waiting

Hi friends!
Got to craving chocolate and made a pound cake .
Really was good and moist.
Doesn't look like that now!!!
Went to the Dr. Tuesday and they called this morning with me a apt. to get this place scanned or x-rays one but not until June 1th.  A  week from this coming Monday.
We are staying at home until this is over with , just going where we have to.
This is what I carried to give to our preacher's wife for their twins.
Couldn't find this picture the other day.
Resting after plowing the garden and putting out 14 tomato plants, two yellow ones and 12 red ones.
Red high acid may be hurting his stomach so the yellows for him are his and I get the rest!
Haven't got another thing planted because of the rain.
Praying for some dry weather !
Have a good one

Randon Things

Hi friends!
My newest fabric for my veterans quilt.
May just make stars all over for the pattern. Since I like making stars! One a day would make the top by the end of the next  month. And I would have plenty of time to finish both of them.
This is the one that some one donated and I hope to get it finished up to give away to.
Working a little every day gets a good bit done in a months time.
We couldn't find the kind of jelly Tommy loves so I ordered six bottle from Smuckers.
They came yesterday!  Should last him a while , then maybe Ingles will have it in stock again.
I went into Ingles to get milk Sunday after Church.
That was all we were out of!
Wore my mask and wore it to Dr. today.
They weren't wearing one!
But I am a little older than they are. and Tommy is high risk. Don't want to bring it home to him.
Have and good one and stay safe

Three boy Quilts

Hi friends!
Finished up these and took them to Church yesterday.
We had car church!
Hand stitched the binding down on our back porch Sat.
Later made six burp cloth's and put binding on the blanket . After I worked on my only machine that does fancy stitches.
My neck is better but hasn't gone away so I made a apt. for tomorrow to see the Dr.
After two rounds of antibiotics!
We will see if he wants me to do another round!
This is the other Quilt. just a different back ground fabric.
The 3 inch square quilt is for Their sister or sister in law.
Three baby boy quilts!

More Flannel

Hi friends!
More?
Must have been the rest of the order but it had been so long I didn't remember what I ordered.
I pinned this but now I have to see if I can get my other machine straightened out! Need a fancy stitch for this.
Shouldn't be to bright for boys!

Planting Time

Hi friends!
Got most of the fabric Sis gave me ironed but for three that was lots of yards.
This morning my flannel came , didn't take pictures just dumped it into the washer , then dried. it.
So I will be ironing fabric today to.
This should last me a while for making burp cloth's and bibs. Four are two yard cuts but one is more like half a yard.
We went to get tomato plants and I saw a flower I didn't have .
Two color blooms!
Have a good one and stay safe.

FABRIC!

Hi friends!
Sis came over Monday with another trash-bag full of fabric.
So I tossed it into the washer and started un-tangling yesterday.
I starched and ironed for about a hour then quit.
Still have a pretty good pile in there I will work on today.
Honest I did a good bit! Just doesn't look like it.
All nicely ironed and added to my sewing room.

Just a few!

Cold !

Hi friends!
Don't you hate to quilt something and flip it over to a small fold?
So I spent a lot of yesterday ripping out that side of the quilting.
Going to spray starch it good and iron the heck out of it and do a better job....I hope.
Had to change computers just to load another picture.
Tommy started plowing yesterday!
Planning on a small garden.
Last year he didn't feel up to it but the lung Dr. got him on some meds. that makes him feel better.
We hope to put out tomato's , two rows of orka and two rows of corn. Some of our grands love corn.
Hoping to finish that last baby quilt and hoping to get that order of flannel soon so I can make some more things for coming babies.
Got a email from them last week saying it would be a little short on one of the flannels. So soon I hope.
I had used up all my old flannel on Maverick before he was born. He is nearly three months old now.
Have a good one but stay safe.
Suppose to warm up tomorrow, Can't wait!

Mother's Day Weekend

Hi friends!
Finally got my order.
My quilting glove's were getting hole's in  the  fingers so I ordered two pair and a little more fabric for our veterans quilt.
I think this fabric :
Was a scrap from Sister because I don't remember buying it.
Made one more mask the way I though would feel better on my face
I have had them that you could not breathe through! Maybe this one will work better.
My daughter and youngest grand daughter came over yesterday and brought me these.
Just beautiful, then this morning Michael brought me some more from Chris , Amy and all three kids and Ashley.
Both beautiful! It was good to see Tonia and Bobby, Karen , my daughter, and Alisha and Michael this morning.. Even if I couldn't hug any of them.
They are being careful trying to protect us!
I will be so happy when this goes away!
Hope you all had a great Mother's Day
