Mia's Quilt

Making progress now. I changed to cotton and it's making it flatter.

Got all the ones I had fixed changed over.

Need a few more!

Maybe I will get them quilted this weekend.

Canning Time

Hi friends!

Put up some tomato's yesterday before they ruined!

Better put up than dumped in the woods .

Red and Yellow tomato's together. We planted yellow for low acid for hubby.

When the corn and orka comes in I will put up soup starter.

Had some left-over's from other quilts so I am using those to start this.

Now to redo the ones I had done. Will get some more when I run out!

What I am working on!

Still like a bit finishing! Very relaxing play!

Mia's Quilt

Hi friends!

Still no pins, usually straight pins instead. I got under my sewing table yesterday but nothing could I see! Just totes and a spool of thread and lots of lint!

I am not liking this battening for this! So I may get some more! It would be lighter but it's bulky!

S0 I guess I will wait until I go back to town to work on it some more.

Maybe tomorrow!

Still Looking

Hi friends!

Had to buy some more interfacing. I only had five yards !

Not quit enough to do a full size quilt.

Fun!

Got a good stack going. Close to enough! . Now time to get them sandwiched , sure do need my pins but still can't find them!

I have crawled around looking under things still can't find them. Cleaned off most of my table , still no pins!

May have to buy some more but you know what happens where you do that! they pop up!!!!

Hi friends!
Sat. I cut 12 inch blocks from t-shirts. Then yesterday I spent all afternoon looking for quilting pins!
Guess I need to clean up my sewing room so I can find things?
Just ruins your day when you spend it searching for things.

At least one day was productive!

Cutting!

Hi friends!

Next step started!

My cousin is coming home from the hospital! They gave him Covid 19 med's and plasma and he got better !

The whole country was praying for him.

That virus is no joke so every one please be careful. Most of us are older than our 50's and we might not make it . So be very careful.

Hope to get all I can at 12 inch's this weekend . Bigger ones I will group together.

The haul for today, next week we may start getting enough for me to can or not!

When the corn comes in I will put up soup for this winter.

Garden and T-shirts

Hi friends!

The pile is growing.

The yellow ones are low-acid tomato's. Yesterdays gatherings!

Got two little orka's yesterday, three today but less tomato's today.

The low -acid plants are getting ripe faster.

To me they taste pretty much the same , just yellow.

Went and got my hair cut today, over a hundred sick so far in this county but how many haven't had the test. I am not taking it until they do something besides putting that que-tip into your brain.

or I get sick!

Should have close to enough t-shirts cut to start Mia's quilt. Got some interfacing at Walmart yesterday to start with and ordered some from JoAnn's. Most sites were sold out!

Got to clean some before I sew today

Cutting T-shirts

Hi friends!

Lots of pretty shirts to use in Mia's quilt.

Almost a Top!

These are getting taller!

We went early this morning to buy groceries and Walmart says every one wear a mask! Very few was, all the workers were but the rest just didn't care. My cousin is a little better , his wife said they were going to give him

Plasma hoping to get him well. So we are praying for him.

Hopefully things will get better soon and this goes away but the Spanish flu was here two years killing people.

My haul from the garden this morning. We planted two low acid tomato plants, the yellow one's, for Tommy's stomach. Only two little orka's but it's blooming like crazy now.

By next week should have a mess!

Starting Mia's Quilt

Hi friends!

One of these are different so I went looking for fabric to match but all I had left was scraps!

I will look again to see if I missed some.

Then yesterday I worked on Mia's t-shirt quilt. I cut some more up! I am cutting them large so I can cut them the size I want when I get enough cut and ready to see how many more I need.

Though I had a lot of interfacing but this was all I found so to Walmart I go later this week to buy some.

Got a good stack cut !

Got lots of pretty colors to play with.

Next Quilt

Hi friends!

Had company yesterday , my cousin wanted a t-shirt quilt for her granddaughter to start college. She is going to Ga. Tech when it starts back. She is a beautiful smart girl!

Started cutting them up last night!

The four stars for the next row on the veterans quilt.

Going to try to finish that top this weekend.

Veterans Quilt

Hi friends!

Took all that seam out! And did some re-pinning and adjustments.

That's better!

The tomato we had been watching! Was rotten! Tommy brought it in last night , the whole bottom!

But we have hugh bundles of green tomato's out there that will start turning soon.

Just hard to wait!!!!

Added another row on the top! But still need one more! I have two stars already made so next step is make two more!

Veterans Quilt

Hi friends!

Working on the veterans quilt again.

Finally figured out that row and added.

Though about adding this to it but changed my mind.

Like the row of little stars better!

Had enough to add a row on both ends of the row. so it worked out measuring wise just fine.

But I need at least enough stars to make another row to add after all these. Want be long enough with what I have sewed already. Want it long enough to hang off the bottom and cover the pillows.
