One finish this month!
well their were more but they were small, like our pillow cases. More on that later.
I love the white stars!
As a matter of fact i have started making white blocks for my next quilt!
Like this red and white block.
And this one that i love!
Love the white against the great background fabric.
I have seen scrap white blocks to in blogland so i will be doing a few of those.
Got to use up those scraps.
I think they are multiplying in my scrap totes.
Have a wonderful day friends.
It's raining here and cool.
I am quilting leaves and vines on it!
The backing is so bright.
Got the binding on and got it trimmed.
Just need to hand sew the binding down and put on a label, maybe before the last day of the month!
Having a peaceful day of washing and sewing here before the rain comes in tonight.
I will be spending spare moments binding the quilt.
Have a great day friends.
Hi friends! I worked on this for a while yesterday .
Last night we went to the funeral home for my niece who died from lung cancer, only 56 years old!
I wish every one would quit smoking but smokers refuse to hear.
Tommy and i fussed for years about it but since he quit he tells every one to stop while they can.
I know they say it's the hardest thing to do, just glad i couldn't afford them ever!
It's in the low 60ies this morning and Tommy is going to weed eat so i may be able to finish the quilting on this quilt.
I may have half of it done!
Yesterday it was working good and i changed the needle and it went crazy. Took me a while to get it sewing right again.
Lots of loose thread to take out.
Have a wonderful sewing day friends.
He though he was hid!
He is the sweetest little baby boy!
I made him a pillow the day before.
I finished it and gave it to him. He loves to punch pillows.
This is his tired face! His face when i asked him to look tired!!!
He ran around the cars several times.
He is a bundle of energy all the time and doesn't take naps but he may have gone to sleep in the car going home after the battle of the Orka.
Little ones are a blessing!
Sandwiched this yesterday!
It will be tomorrow before i start quilting because Tucker will be here all day.
Got it ironed before supper time last night. I love the clamps that Sis got me for Christmas.
They have a handle that you can use to release them.
She got them from Lowes or Home Depot and when i get to that store i am getting me two more.
They work great and doesn't take any muscles!
Tommy spent the day cutting close to the house yesterday!
Tuesday he mowed the south 40dy. One time the tractor wasn't running so i went to check on him! You can't see all of our land from the house. So when he is working down there and turn every thing off so i can hear his tractor running. Later on he turned it off and i couldn't see him so i walked down to where he was earlier and he was further down talking to our next door neighbor. When you are our age you have to watch out for each other, you never know what could happen. He always carries his cell phone so i can call him!
He had carried his branch cutters down there so he could get rid of briar's.
I turned around and took a picture of the house from down there.
That's our house!
You can't see the next door neighbor's house from where he was working but it's a couple of acres on down the hill.
I am going to be playing with" Tuck" today!
I have a flimsy!
I may have to sandwich this after Friday because i don't have enough cotton to do one this big. May have to buy some more!
We shall see!
You can see how long it is.
It has lots of fall on each side to.
In this picture it's on top of the backing i picked out for it.
This doesn't show it's true color. A big backing.
It is really bright , maybe brighter than the quilt top.
I think it will be the perfect backing!
It's bigger then the flimsy, sis gave me this, don't know what she bought it for but there was about 9 or 10 yards.
Their is a front coming through today and Author is hurting all over !!!!!
Have a great day friends.
After yesterday's scare i didn't do much sewing.
Added a white row and then another scrap row.
It is getting really big.
It's been quieter today, no scares!
Had to go pay bills and pick up pills.
Now hubby is cutting grass.
Maybe i will get some good sewing time in today.
I cleaned my machine out and was amazed that there was so little inside it because i have sewed a month without cleaning. I am using connecting thread's thread so that may be the reason.
Been looking for something to make a backing out of.
I am leaning toward the top fabric to back this bright cheerful quilt.
This is my third quilt made with mostly scraps but you wouldn't know it by looking at my scrap bags.
They have multiplied ! Sorry for the bad picture.
Got to get busy!
We had a scare this morning!
A bomb threat was called in to the school where 4 of our grandchildren goes. They checked it and called in the bomb dogs but think it was a prank !
They will find him or her because a couple of years ago someone called in a scare at the school where some of our grands go, a Different school!
They got him!
Kids get mad at something and get them self in big trouble!
I added my butterflies over the weekend!
I though about making pillow shams but those white stars would be covered up!
I may do it yet.
We had a quit weekend, Sis came over , it's just a little over a month before she retires. Of course she will have to spend a lot of time in Athens getting her house ready to sell and taking care of all the details.
Brother is trying to get her internet hooked up at her house here.
Bad way to start the day with a bomb scare!
Have a great day friends.
Not the best picture but he moves fast so this is the only one of his tongue sticking out!
Hi is so serious!
I put Sponge bob in the computer so i could get some sewing done!
I got three done while he was watching His cartoons and then finished last night.
I needed 7 to do one row.
Now to add the detail with embroidery thread.
At this point i had 5 done.
Look at that sweet angel face!
He doesn't let me out of his sight, when i went into our bedroom to get him a bigger quilt he ran after me and fell. I guess i will have to just carry him with me from now on!
He just turned 3 last Christmas, he was born a day or two before Christmas.
With my daughter and my grands raising him he will learn to work and make something of his self!!
She has 10 kids and they are all great! They don't believe the world owes them a living.
Or that she should give them every thing they want!
So many kids are not prepared for real life now, they think all you have to do is ask your parents!
Well i need to clean house, was going to last night but keeping him all day takes it out of this old woman! When i keep him 4 hours i can clean house after he leaves!
Not last night
Have a great weekend friends!
