Sunday Verse

VERSE OF THE DAY

September 25

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Hot and Quilting

 Hi friends!

Yesterday we went and bought groceries, hubby bought two of these Cheetos! Only he got the wrong kind, He has a bad stomach and I though I could eat them but they burned to much.

So hubby took one bag out side and dumped them.

This morning he noticed the crows where not hollowing , he figures they were what eat them and they are probably  sitting near a creek !!!!

Maybe they want come back!!!

Next month we will carry our wheel-chair quilts to the nursing home, This is one of mine , just need the binding sewed down.

This is my second one!
I need to put together one more top to have three , which is what I told our group I would make.
I have made 10 that are not for veterans and going to make one more to make three for the Veterans that are in that nursing home.

Vickie has already talked to the lady that works there. And she said 11 veterans! But other's in our group are making them to.

Maybe next month I can show us handing them out but we may not , Covid is still so strong that a nursing home in the next town  is closed from Covid 19

"Rainbow Six"

Hi friends!

Where our quilt club meets they have a library of books donated by people that live there.

I brought this one home and have just yesterday finished, reading ever spare moment since last Thursday.

I though Sis had bought every one of his but this came out in 96 and I think Sis was still working then and she didn't live here.
John Clark ex marine is over two squads of hand picked people to fight terrorism any where it strikes and for some reason terrorism is happening every couple pf weeks Some body wants to see how they work and then plan a attack using different tactics.

I really enjoyed this, there is several different story lines!. All interesting!

Random Things

HI Friends!

That sucker is as big as my foot!

These are here and there in the yard. but 14 inch's of rain will do that!

Yesterday they said we could now drink the water! Today in the paper it said this could happen again, water got over all the electric and it could happen again at any time!!!!

So we need to keep a supply of water just in case  the water plant goes out again.

We still have plenty of water most of which  we bought, I think we got three cases where they were giving it away.

Yesterday we got up to a puddle in front of the kitchen sink! Not what we needed but Hubby tightened the drain and it  stopped it.  Thank Goodness!

It knows we have new floors!!!! That bad luck Gennie!

Tonight is Quilt meeting so pictures tomorrow!

Nearly Fall

Hi friends!

That's the only tree we have down from the storm!
But we didn't have water for a week.

We have water  now but if we drink it have to boil it first
Thankfully we have water stacked up , enough  to last us for a while.  It came on for about a hour Friday and I throw ed a load of clothes into the washer. Sat.  it was on but like it is now. I was so happy to get a hot shower!

Katie still didn't have any yesterday, hope its on now!

These are from seeds that my granddaughter  Kari and Eli my grandson gave me last year.

These are to!

These are getting really leggy, Chris and Amy [son and daughter in love} got me these for mother's day, they are about ready for Fall!

Still working on making wheelchair quilts for the nursing home, working on 10 and 11 I think!  Still got over a month may get some more finished.

My plan is 3 for Veterans!!  Maybe!  ovid is still going around. We haven't gotten the forth shot , dreading it back the last two put me on the chouch for one day.

Don't have time to be sick!

Veterans Quilts

 Hi friends!

This is my second top for wheelchair quilts for veterans.

This is my first for a vet. and it is ready for some more quilting.

Both of them! Next I will find some backing for this one, thinking about making one more!

I have 11 of the " for anyone" quilt for wheelchairs.

Hoping to get some pockets on a few just to see how that looks.

Oct. will be here soon and we will take these to hand them out at our local nursing home.

Our water came on long enough for me to get one load of clothes washed, then they turned it off I guess. At nay rate we don't have any now! Tommy said the chicken house may be sucking it all up.

That's as close as we came to a flood! They  said we may have gotten as much as 12 inch's but it all headed to our big ditch in front of our yard. 8 to 12 inch's! We live on the side of a sloping hill so it all just keep going.

Hoping to not get that much any time soon!  Usually we have to have a hurricane to get that much!

down!

Not a big tree but hate to lose it!  Broke  it into at the bend.

We have been buying water and going by and picking some up when they are giving it away so hopefully the water will come back on by the week-end.

Depends on how much damage it did when the water covered the whole water station for our town in dirty creek water!

Sat night we may have gotten any where from 8 to 14 inches in rain!

Now we are water logged with none to drink!

Buildings in town were flooded right below my house before  I married Tommy and sold it. Had that house for nearly 28 years and never seen it rain this much!  Raised my kids over their!
