Freeze and John Deere

 Hi friends!

This is my crepe myrtle! That frost before Easter got it! And it doesn't seem to want to come back! It really looks dead!.

The wisteria is dead to!

It got all of that!

It had just started blooming when we had that frost!

It's just hanging there.......Dead!

That tree has black leaves all over it!

Hubby had to replace the belt on his John Deere! It was cracked all over it!

He does love to work on that thing!

Reading and Sewing

Hi friends!

If you like British Inspector mysteries this is a good one. He never investigates the way they want him to but gets the ki8ller every time.

This was one of those that you don't want to put down!

You can see I didn't do much sewing this past weekend.

Did do a tiny bit!

Needs trimming but it's one more done.

Sewing!

Hi friends!

This is a kit to cut and tie but I had one of those and got tired of tying so reversed this and sewed it together, then turned it and top stitched it down.

Makes a great cover for when you get cold from eating Ice Cream! Hubby is holding it for me to take the picture.

Just the right size to take a nap under!
 

I have told you before that my Sis brings things to me!

See what I mean, She is cleaning house and for years she bought for two houses . Didn't know what she had up here so she keep buying and still does, She could open a fabric shop but she has been giving to me for years .

Last week it was just these but the week before it was five of these!

That's the tiger blanket came from! She had bought it years ago! Brother had made her lots of closets up stairs by he sewing room and she has been going thought them to get rid of what she no longer wants!

But when we go shopping I spend 20$ and she spends 150.00$.

Trying For Normal!

Hi friends!

The blackberries are blooming but tonight they are saying we may get a frost! That wind is cold out there today but tonight it will be much colder if they are right!

Yesterday Sis and I went to McKays for our run to buy books! Hadn't done that in over a year! But we both wore masks and have had our shots. Plus we tried to stay away from people.
 

Then went to Hamricks to see what we could find to buy that was pretty!  Their supply of pretty was down! I usually walk out of there spending over a hundred just on me  but this time I got two tops and a new bag. Did find Carheart t-shirts for 12. 95 so got two for hubby.

Today the sun is shining and it's beautiful when you look out the window but that north wind is cold.

Going to try to catch up some sewing today, wish me luck!

Cute Towels

 Hi friends! 

My latest  brain freeze! This is all I have made since I started. I give all of them away and make a few for the next people I see. Dawn made me one and sent it to me and I love it so I am passing it on

I have been having trouble sleeping!

This is under our bedroom window! This chipmunk goes in there and climbs up over our head and tap-dances .That plus the noise of a new fan and I am up all night! I am going to be like the cartoon character shooting holes in all the ceilings and walls!

I usually just go to the living room couch to finish out the night. BUT NOW IT IS BOTHERING MY BACK!

Can't win for losing!

Random Things

 Hi friends!

Made these two for my couch to kind of match the other couch and loveseat in there. Gave my friend her car seat quilt yesterday. She had made tops for that and the baby quilt I finish for her. Her hands are getting in bad shape plus she still works !

The barring wore out in the John Deere wheel so hubby changed tires to. He gets a lot of use out of his tractor! 

 Like having some man to help!

Best money we ever spent!

Sis got me this for Christmas over a year ago, I named him "Leroy"
 Still working good, Just put him in a room and close the door.

Finish

 Hi friends!

Took it apart and fixed it!!

Now it's ready for my friend!  It's a car seat quilt!

It's beautiful here today, Rained some Friday the day I cooked supper for my Sis and My SIS in law. Had a really good time! It was close to their birthday.

Yesterday we attended church for the first time in a year. It was so good to get back to Church. I came home and took a nap!!! Hubby is wanting me to go to his chiropractor see if he can help me with my sleeping problem!

I think my biggest problem is I can't sleep as long as he does! If I get five or six hours I feel fine!

Nearly A Finish!

Hi friends!

I though I was finished until I flipped it over and so a seam that wasn't caught on the top side.

So me and my ripper have a date tonight, then It will be a finish.

Don't you hate for that to happen?

After delivering this I will get back on my Log Cabin blocks till I get enough to make us a quilt for our bed.

Easter

Hi friends!

Waiting for the Easter eggs to be hid.

MY Annie.

Marvick, youngest of the great grands but he is soon to have a baby brother. He is our 16th! But lots of our 22 grands have not tied the knot yet so we could have many more.

Their were a lot missing but we all had the best time after not seeing them in so long! It had been longer for Tommy then me because of his COPD, he had stayed at home sometimes when I went .

We had a few littles to hunt so it was great fun . Every one of us forget about the golden egg!

Maybe this year will be back to normal for us. More Pictures tomorrow!

Pollen, Pollen Everywhere

 Hi friends!

 Finished quilting this so next step is binding.

That wind is blowing cold air but it always gets cold right  before Easter. One year it burned off the tops of all the trees and just the leaves on top turned black and fell off.

Pollen is thick! That's Tommy's truck and we drove it to town to get chocolate eggs's for Sunday. This is afterwards. 

I hate to think some blowed off!

He hosed mine down yesterday , my black car was yellow.

And my sinus's are complaining!

Suppose to get into the 70's by Easter Sunday

Well we are ready, all we like now is cleaning and cooking. Hoping to see all our grands that we haven't seen in so long.
