Haley's Quilt

Hi friends!
I sewed up some blocks.

Did four.

Got them sewed together and added to one side.
Then I started making blocks for the other side.

Got two done and realized I needed to make some more parts for the  blocks.

My black car is yellow!
Pollen is so high.
We worked picking up sticks and other debris in the yard so that Tommy could cut the grass.
I walked and then he cut my trail.
He want come in as long as he can cut!
I finally go the backing off  of Gaven's  quilt and found some thing for backing but I am going to have to find some more to add to it. It's just not wide enough.

Every thing is blooming.

Wisteria is blooming all along  the bottom of my trail, smells so good. Those Redbuds didn't smell and they were full of bees.

If you look closely you can see the purple blooms.

Haley's Quilt

Hi friends
Worked on this during the afternoon  and walked.

Didn't sew them together  just put them on my quilt wall.
Planing on sewing them together today after I walk.
So many sad things happening here. we went to the memorial Sat. one of the brother's wife's Sister lost her daughter this week and the other brother 's child is in Icu having heart attacks at 41.
Learned this morning My neice's grand daughter's was in a wreck and had to be air lifted to trauma hospital My cousin's hubby is in the hospital had to have surgery , he has cancer but came through good. So much to pray for

Gaven's And Haley's

Hi friends!
I would work on this a while yesterday and then work on cutting scraps. Going to use them in a wheelchair quilt.

Cut 4 1/2 and five inch squares from my many scraps. Its been a while since I did this and they have multiplied.

Cut until my back started hurting , then I would work on ripping out the quilting I had put in Gavin's quilt.

Cut a few blocks for Haley's quilt to.
Maybe I will get them sewed together today.
The sun is coming out and I have to walk!

Haley's Quilt

Hi friends!
Changed my mind about the border to this. The blue was just not doing it for me.

That way I can use the black and tan paper doll fabric's.

Got this in the mail this morning. From storied quilts , She had a blog aniversary and I won. I will add these to my Batiks that I am saving for a log cabin quilt for us.

I got a little quilted,  on Gavin's quilt over the weekend but I think I am going to take it all out, The backing is just to silky!  It wants to slip and slide! I will find something else !
 We went to a memorial service on Sat, for my second cousin Terry Evans , he had lung cancer.
He was a wielder!
So are his two brother's. I thought about learning to do that after my first hubby died but my Uncle Lee told me NO!
It had ruined his lungs.
So I followed his advice. Just Married one!
Terry was his grandson, all his four sons learned and some of their sons did to.
Kelly came and got Jackson's quilt. I also made her these!

My DIL . Kelly sister told her she had to have these! Thanks Amy.

Hi friends!
I finally got this quilt sandwiched last Sunday.

As soon as I quilt Gaven's I will start this. Haven't starched and Ironed it yet.
May have it finished by Easter , maybe!!!
Didn't do much yesterday but take a walk . Sure did me good  to get out side in the sunshine. But it made me lazy!
Sewed a little on this and then a little on that .

Gavin's Quilt

Hi friends!
Sunday I sandwiched Gaven's quilt.

Yesterday I starched and  ironed It .
So hopefully I will start quilting it some time before the weekend.
We have a bee swarm at our house, they have decided to make their new home in a old oak near our driveway.
When Jessie and Tucker left yesterday they were all over the place , even on her car.

I won this e-book last week! Took a while to get it downloaded.

By Sue Bleiweiss. I have gone through it and it looks interesting. The reason I entered was because of the QAUG in part.
Maybe I will learn some thing new!
I won it from Teri Lucis of   Terificreations    , She was one of several blogs giving away this book.

Company, Princess Quilt and a win!

Hi friends!
Look who came to see me this morning!
I hadn't seen him since Christmas. Maybe he will be back for Easter.
This came in the mail yesterday.

I ordered this for our newest great grand Haley.
She is three and loves princess's.

I had some paper doll fabric so I though I would do hugs and kiss's blocks to make it twin sized for her bed.

I have this fabric in black but it might over power the princess blue.

I added a pale blue with rosebuds all the way around the panel to ease into the tan.
I will see how that works!
I won a 25 dollar gift certificate at Happy Quilting for Loulou' Fabric and spent it well.

Didn't have to add a whole lot to buy this!!!!!

Got this quilted!

Just loops but that will hold it together good.

Still working on this binding.
We went to Revival last night at our church , brother Billy Stillwell, from North Carolina, preached a very good sermon.
Tonight he will be back preaching and we will have a Church choir singing for us.
Should be a good night.
We are just having a three night revival!.
We plan on going tonight and tomorrow night.

Yesterday

Hi friends!
Still cutting on Jessica and Richard's quilt.  Just cutting some white here .

A pretty good pile of baby blues cut , not enough greys cut yet.

Didn't get any work done on this yesterday.  Went to town. paid bills and bought groceries and was wore out when we got home.
We were both tired so supper was about it and reading.
Staying at home today so maybe I will get something done.
I did sew a bit on Hubby's new quilt but will post that on my other blog . HERE
Just started it back up after a few month's brake.

Wheelchair quilt

Hi friends!
This is a wheelchair quilt.

Not a good picture but this is the backing. Suppose to make two more before Oct. when we carry them to the nursing home.
Hope to start quilting it today.
I froze all day yesterday, don't know if it was all that water I drunk before they tried to get blood from me or what.
The nurse yesterday said I just had small veins but they didn't used to be. Six months ago was the first time anyone had a hard time getting blood from me.
Maybe it just happens when your veins gets 77 years old. Course Tommy is to and his isn't small.

Small Finish and Jackson's Quilt

Hi friends!
One small finish! I still had a Christmas pillow on my couch so I run this up real fast. Carol sent me some Christmas fabric and this was in it. but it's bees and that means spring to me.
Maybe  it will hurry up spring.
I nearly froze in the Dr. office this morning.
We had to go for our 6 month check up and blood work and for some reason my veins have gotten so small that it's hard to get blood out of me.
I took some water and drank that but she still had a hard time.

First flag of the season.

I got all the blocks together and added it on this weekend and added the binding , now it's on the couch waiting for me to finish sewing it down.
Hopefully in a day or two I will finish it.
