Eli and Kari's quilt

Hi friends!
May get snow tonight, hope not.
This is my latest block for Kari and Eli's quilt.
I love the star it made but my others didn't look like that

What made these look different?
Maybe i can figure that out before i go any further.
I have ordered more fabric for this quilt and it's suppose to come today.
Hopefully i can get these to look like that, another hour spent with "jack the ripper"
I will take them apart and try different layouts to see if i can get them to look like that last one.
I hate to have to rip seams out!!!!!
Better get to that i guess.
Easter will be here and i will still be trying to make stars.
