Our Weekend

Hi friends!
Cloudy day!
Look who came to see us yesterday!.
Our sweet great grands.
I am fighting a infection and praying i don't have to go back to my urologist.  I know he will want to run test and i hate those test! I am keeping a big glass of water next to me and drinking as much as i can hold. Hopping to stop it  but but know that that really doesn't work!
Red haired girl and her hubby came yesterday to.
When Lola saw me she  got a big grin and just squealed!

I finished my flimsy Sat. and got it sandwiched yesterday before company came by.
After that their was no sewing.

I added some roots to Brad and D. J.'s quilt.. I added some more but forgot to take pictures.
Our company isn't coming until next week so i can relax a little on my deep cleaning.
Since i don't feel good that may be a blessing in disguise.

Hi friends!
Rainy day here.

I won this from the Henry Glass co.   HERE
1/2 half yards of flannel.  I told Tommy i would use one for my pants body and one each for the legs and made me some winter p j bottoms. All kidding aside this will make a warm quilt.

I won this from Quiltingeening but couldn't find her blog.
I won some charm packs and thread and a pattern from one blog, when i saw i had won i commented on her blog so didn't have a winning email to keep up with what blog it was.
Can't for the life of me remember who she was but i want to thank every one from the bottom of my heart!  I have made some great quilts to give away from my winnings.

Tucker's Quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful fall day!
I finished sewing on that strip yesterday, added the little fishes on the bottom.

Made another strip for the other side, added it  with the same little fishes on the bottom.
It's going to be a wide twin sized.  Now to make the i spy to go on the bottom and top and i will have a flimsy.
I have backing and battening for it so may have it sandwiched next week.
I need to make two pillow shams this weekend for my Mark and Wayne pillows for their birthday.
We have 3 grands with birthdays this month and three next month.  None for December so i can spend December on Christmas Gifts. The only Friday finish i have is this

I am using it my self , going to make some more for Christmas gifts.

A little better picture with out  my drink. I think his upper body is a little to long!

Tuckers Quilt and work!

Hi friends!
Beautiful fall day!
I made this yesterday but was afraid to add it because i didn't have any thing but scraps of that blue.  But a miracle happened and i found some more

I am putting my mug rug to good use.  Now to make some to give to others for Christmas.

They finished up yesterday!

The gutters look so good too.

You can tell that there a dip in the siding on this side because of  where we added on it's a little
off , he tried to put up extra insulation to try to even it out.
That Chimney is pushing the house over , i guess the weigh does that.
But what do you expect in a 160 year old house.

Sewing and Work

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
I started the side of the quilt yesterday!
A i spy sides and top and bottom.
That Ga. Teck may be to old for him right now but it want be long.

The moon came out big and bright last night , i tried to get a close up but they were awful. It was nearly like day light out there.

They just like a little and caulking everything. They are working outside now!
The house where we added on is not square which made it look rippling.
 Of course that chimney is pushing the whole house south.

The house looks bigger with siding on it. but it 7 rooms and two rooms on the south side porch.
Tommy is going to have to fix that porch now and work on the front one, because insurance co.s want rails and steps with a hand hold.
We usually use the back door that opens on the carport and it just a half of a step.

Tucker's Quilt.

Hi friends!
Rainy day!
I got the sides on and added a slim blue border yesterday.
It had to be slim because i didn't have much of the light blue in my stash.
I think i am going to do a 'i spy' to lengthen it.
Maybe one row down the sides and several on the top and bottom.
Got to make it big enough for a twin sized quilt.

The house is looking like a new house.  Tommy had the gutter guys come out yesterday and put on gutters. You can see them on the edge of the porch.

Look how pretty they look.
But you can't see the rain pouring off the house.  I will miss that.

My Weekend

Hi friends!
I have played with fabric all weekend!  Cut for Brad and D.J.'s quilt.

Sewed some of my scraps into long strips.  I have spent a few weekends cutting up scraps into usable squares so i sewed these together.
I got 2 1/2 strips. long enough to go across the bed of  6 inch squares.
Don't know where i am going with this.

I started Tucker's quilt.  I had bought some cowboys for his quilt but Daughter said he was into motorcycles so i ordered some of that.
I put the cowboys on both ends and am going to put them on the sides of this.
I want it big enough for a twin bed.  He has a little sis now so he is a big boy.  His 3th birthday is right at Christmas.  He is my daughters youngest grand.
I have made quilts for all her other grands.
 I told you we we expecting 2 more but sweet Kari lost her baby.
Their Gracie started school this year., that their other child , our little doll. And she is a little doll!!!

This is the fabric for the center of Tucker's quilt.
I think he will like it.

Sunday

The House

Hi friends!
Beautiful cold day!
They have decided to put another vent in this side of the chimney.
Where they have plywood. Had to get another box of siding so they could finish.

He worked this morning to get the under side of the porch done so they could start on gutters if they come Monday.

We are very proud of the job Bobby is doing. He does beautiful work!
He is married to our youngest girl.
Does this for a living.

Playing and the house

Hi friends!
Cloudy rainy day!
How do you like my snowman?
He looks a whole lot better than the one i made a few years ago.
My friend Dawn of  sewyouquilt2 gave me a tip that helped me a lot.
I don't know whether this will be my this month project for sewcalgal's handmade Christmas or not.

Doesn't that siding look pretty all the way up, they took out one window on that side of the chimney.
They are going to cover the other window on the other side of the chimney.
He said he hoped to be through by Tuesday.
Not working today because of rain.
They stomped all over my hosta but Tommy told them it would come back next year.
One year he cut it all down and it came back up.
He is suppose to put railing around the front porch and steps and a hand rail to hold on to when walking down them.
Tommy had planed on making the porch bigger but hadn't got around to it yet.
I wanted it at least to the chimney, may be to late now because Tommy still has the other bath to finish and redo the living room.
And money is running out.
See that tree trunk out front?
I want to make that trunk on Brads and D. J.'s quilt with a few branches.
Hopefully i can do that.
I may be crazy to even try but that's what i an going to try.

House and Bags
