Yesterday

Hi friends!
Yesterday was the day for me to go see Dr. Arkin. My surgeon for my eye surgery. He's the same one that did Tommy's.
Afterward we did our Valentines dinner out, One of my favorites ,Longhorn. Love how they do a Flo's filet!
Even with my eyes so dilated that I couldn't see anything I could see that steak. It's dim in there so I could take off those ugly sun glasses.
So of course I didn't get much sewed!
Had to sew a little because I may not be able to after the surgery.

 Last nigh I did get two pot holders finished. Super thick!

I haven't posted this block it's a hay stack block.

I want to get this quilt together and maybe finished by the day of surgery!

Lots More

Hi friends!
I am going to do the house next so I though of trees for the yard.

One for each side! These are in the book to.

Finished my canning block.
Strawberry , cherry, coffee beans and buttons make up my canned goods.

Also finished my barn!
Almost got my farm made.
I counted and I need 12 more for a queen sized quilt.
Even at 12 inch's it still takes a lot.

I love this little block!

I can not resist Missouri star's daily deals!!!!
I have to much fabric as it is and I planned on using what I have  up but my fingers just walk and I get fabric.
When you let them keep your info that's just to easy.
That was why I got rid of pay pal.

It looks like all the middle is the same but it's not.
At 12 inches I could  get a quilt out of what I already have done but I looked for fabric for the canning block last night. I have no fabric with food on it!!!!!

My New Playtoy

Hi friends!
Look what my mail woman brought me this morning!
Isn't that adorable? Last week I got a text with a picture of this from Chris and Amy, saying they had bought it for me!
It seems to be made out of tin.

With a drawer under it!
The thread is wire and most of the parts to a real machine is on there.

Wonder who came up with this idea?

This will sit in my sewing room , love it!
I have the best kids in the world!
Both of them supports my love of quilting but neither one has time to learn but.... Jessica said yesterday that one day she would love to learn.
Maybe that day will come before get to old to teach her.
Right now she is working, going to school and runs all the time.
Glad she is going to school so maybe she will have something.

Mixer and Egg Basket

Love this basket block.

Vintage egg basket!
The mixer block got my attention.

Dawn sent me the pattern! Half the time my printer wont print but it worked yesterday.

Started it last night.
But had to stop to clean up after supper and then get on the treadmill.
Should finish today if nothing happens.

Some Finishs

Hi friends!
I finished something I started a while ago yesterday.
This Christmas apron.
Going to give it to Jessica when she come's by.

Using some of the blocks I found to make pot holders.

I am sure she can use these to!

I am awful at this!
No amount of practice is helping. Next week we have our Q-bee meeting again and my stitching stinks!
I tried how they do it on the internet but that was worse than this. Oh well I will just stab maybe I can get them better like that.

"The Mist" by Carla Neggers .
Right now I am reading another one in that series.
It's going to be hard to give up sewing and reading for weeks while they fix my eyes.

Janurary's Finish's

This is the only quilt I finished this month.
I did a lot of little things.

Gracie's and Shania's doll quilts and pillows.

Me a new bag, I needed a bigger one than what I had.

Been enjoying making these blocks so much.

Yesterday

Hi friends!
we made a fast trip to Walmart yesterday.
The fusible was to do Jessica's scrubs but two of them were flared so it didn't work very good. I ended up just hemming them! I only do that for Grands!
The zippers are for Abby's pillows and for Tommy's overalls.
That fabric just jumped into my buggy!
That's what Tommy says when some crispy crèmes land in our buggy!

I got this in the mail today.
Its from Digi-teck designs and they say it works like magic and your machine will sew so good and no dropped threads , going to try it on my quilting machine. If it works I may order a lot more, I will let you know. Very reasonable , 2.99 I think

I ran across some small blocks that I made a few years ago when my pile of fabric on the table where I put it fell off and these were on the bottom. So decided to make a hot pad.

Using this for the back!
My old ones are getting pretty rough.
