Strip Blocks

Hi friends!
Another block for our quilt.

Made these two last night after supper.
Spent the day yesterday on the road so when we got home I took a nap!
When I got up felt great again so got some sewing done later.
The place where I usually get my mammogram done isn't doing it any more so we went to a new place in Fort O.
Hour drive and may look for another before next year.
Afterward we ate out and came by Walmart to get groceries. Walmart makes me tired!
Those cement floors are not good for bad backs.
At least I got two more blocks done for our quilt. Today when I get off here I plan on working on Missy's for my other blog  HERE
I am making a quilt that Dawn wanted us to make!  Dawn Here
It takes about a million 2 1/2 inch blocks!
But tonight is Q-Bees so want have time to work  on it long.

Today

Hi friends!
Last night we had our breakfast for supper with my brother, sis in love and Sis. Sis is having surgery tomorrow, pray for a good one!
Sis's birthday is in March and Sis in love's birthday was last week so we try to have it around or in between . Sis's travels made it a little later than usual.
This pot holder I made for SIL! The one on top!

This is Sis's! That's not all we gave them but that's what I made them.
I forgot to take pictures last night! But we had a good time!

Thinking about using these on Michael's and Ashley's quilt. They wanted blue and cherry blossoms.

I sent her four pictures and she chose this one. I think a queen but I will ask!

Tatum's Quilt

Hi friends!
Another row added!

Working on getting the last row put together!

Got the interfacing ironed onto the bits and added backing and battening.

Cut out!

This is  how I want it to look with some grey around it. Or maybe black. Haven't decided yet.

Tatum's Quilt

Hi Friends!
This will be the last row on Tatum's quilt, when I get it all together.

Some how I plan on joining these pieces together to make a wide block!

I've just sewed together two row of blocks but when I finish this last row I will join them all together.
The good thing about this is that then all I will need is binding.

About finished with this!

Made three of these last week!
Should have three finish's very soon.
Next I will be doing Anna's And Michael and Ashley a quilt.
I have the fabric for Anna's but will be looking for some for Michael's and Ashley's.

Easter  Pictures!

Tatum's And Fabric for Anna's

Hi Friends!
Ordered some fabric for Anna's quilt Monday I think and it got here today.
She wants mostly black with small multi colored stars here and there.
I did a little sewing last night after my vision cleared from seeing the retina Dr

A neighbor had a baby girl last week!

Wednesday I worked on Tatum's quilt for a while. Just a busy Dr. wise week so not much sewing went on.
Last night at 2 and several times after that I was up stretching my legs because they don't like sitting in the car.  Or Dr. office's!
Didn't do enough walking and to much of that was on cement floors.
They ached and hurt most of the night!
Just another night of a 76 year old teen!
I will make up for it this weekend.

Kristian's Quilt

Hi friends!
Quilting on Kristian's quilt a little every day.
We both had Dr. Apt. today, Tommy's Cat Scan came back good. The the eye Dr. said see you in six months. Took all day for them to say that.
Now I can't see but a little after he dilated both eyes. So very short post

Tatum's Quilt

Hi friends!
Sewed together six rows on Tatum's t-shirt quilt. I still need to put together one more row!
Larger shirt fronts!
Yesterday I sewed the adding strip onto one row.

It's been really hard to go back to quilting every day after spending days cleaning and cooking. Bit I am still getting in a little every day.
It's just so pretty outside that we don't want to stay in!

Tommy was back out there yesterday because the grass in the back grows so fast.
Freeze warning for tonight and again this weekend.
And snow up North, where is spring?
My flowers are growing but may get bit! One year we had a hard freeze and it killed all the leaves in the top's of the trees.
We may have that again!

Did two last night after resting most of the day.
I measured the one on the right , it's nearly 13 inch's from top to bottom .
Remember my blocks are going to be 12.

Angel's Quilt

Tommy was out their Sat. before Easter ! He said he was knocking off the heads of the dandelions.
He always does this!

One of my tulips! Had another one but Shania loved it! It went home with her.

Angel's Quilt Finished

Hi friends!
Finished Angel's quilt!
Its a wide queen! Also I made two pillow shams earlier to go with it.
Last week I received a box of fabric from a friend!
HERE is her blog. She is a sweetie that I talk to some, a Blogger friend.
She had sent me a e-mail asking if  I wanted some Christmas fabric she wanted to get rid of.
Of course  I said Yes and how she got that much fabric in one box is beyond me.

A fabric explosion!
I will put this to good use when I start my Christmas sewing.
Some times I start in July,Ha ha.
Plans are already whirling around in my brain.
I have a step daughter that dearly loves Snowmen!
I will show her the fabric Sunday when she comes over.

Ironed and starched Kristians's Quilt

Going to get some thread to quilt it with today, I think a little darker grey than the light.

Tommy got a door up yesterday! Doesn't it look good?

Angel's Quilt.

Hi friends!
When I got to the grey, I realized that I hadn't quilted the white right above it.
But at last it's finished , well that part is ! Then I had to find some fabric to bind it with.
Some that I had received at Q-Bee's fit right in!

See Just the right shade. After I sewed the binding on I did a good clean on my quilting machine.

Got all of that out of it plus a lot of thread that didn't need to be in there.

My favorite! A scrap quilt to use up lots of scraps!

Love these quilt patterns and one day I will make us one!

Kristian's Quilt

Hi friends!
One finished flimsy!

I sandwiched it this past weekend but I"m quilting this one so it will be another day or two before I start on this one.

Just like a little of the white and all the grey on Angel's quilt and then  it will go to the couch!
Then I will clean my machine really good before I start this one.
