Broken Kindle and Aunt Geneva's quilt

Hi friends!
Look what happened.
I am trying to decide whether to replace or repair.
I have had it nearly five years , so i makes sense to replace it. I guess! My son Chris and  Dil Amy bought it for me for Christmas years ago. She is the one that gave me my first computer.
I have one that i bought but it want hold as many books as i have in my account.
It was on sale for 39 dollars and would be great for young kids.
I ironed Aunt Geneva's quilt last night , have some thing to iron today that hasn't been on here to iron tonight.
Sis brought me this last weekend . Last year i made my daughter  a tree skirt  from scratch , but it looked nothing like this.
Their is no way i could make something ;like this, it would take years!
More tomorrow
Have a good one
Hugs
Quilt Happy

I love my old Kindle--it does take a while to charge more often now, but I like the big print option. Mine is 2nd generation paperwhite--which is SO easy on your eyes--I don't like the Fire with the screen like a computer....Your auntie's quilt looks beautiful...hugs Julierose

Is the tree skirt cross stitched? It is very cute. The newer kindle fires which are not hugely expensive you can read a book, but also you can add memory to them now.

This last time I got the kindle fire 10 inch. I like it okay. The books are kept in the Amazon cloud until you download them. After you are through you can remove it from you kindle again.

Love your Auntie's quilt.

When my Nexus 7 decided that the charger no longer fit properly to charge, I investigated the cost of repair which was about the replacement cost. I decided to go with an RCA 10" tablet that cost $79. Not sure how that compares with Kindle, but I'd guess you are better off buying a new one.

Yikes. So sorry about the Kindle. I had an original one but finally got rid of it before we moved. It had quit working entirely. I wasn't using it... time to unload. I'm with all the folks who say go for a new tablet. Technology changes so fast -- it'll probably hold more and be cheaper than when you first bought it! Hum, from your previous blog -- love that soft yellow charm pack. We'll see on the thread though.
