Hagen's Strawberry's

Hi friends!
My quilt is still on the machine!
Didn't get any sewing done yesterday, we went and picked up strawberry's that we bought from grandson Hagen for his  baseball team.

This is our Hagen!
He broke his arm earlier and had to sit some out , he is a great ball player. We Got them from his mother and i came home and spent the afternoon cutting up strawberry's to put in the freezer. Last year we bought a half of a flat and that wasn't enough so this year we bought a whole one.
When i had half of them cut i had 8 packs ready for the freezer.
When i finished i had 13 ! So i stopped to make tea cakes for Tommy because he wanted that with berries with milk and sugar. A childhood memory!!
It was so good!!!!
Have a good one
Hugs

What a great family--Hagen looks so professional in his baseball uni--my grand-twins just went to try-outs for their final year in baseball...I am hoping to get some "action: shots of them at games....Connor is a terrific pitcher and Greg plays 2nd base--he's got very quick hands and feet...baseball is the one sport both DH and I love--we are B I G Redsox fans....Glad Spring Training games have finally come on the tube--time to take out my hexies....I bring them to the twins' games and work on them in front of the tv..
Looks like you're making progress on your quilting...those strawberries look so yummy...hugs, Julierose

Good lookin' kid!! Yum strawberries. Our season starts in the middle of June. Can't wait. Though we do have berries in the produce section of the stores now. Perhaps they came from YOUR area.

Have a great weekend.
xx, Carol

Do strawberries stay firm in the freezer and taste the same when you get them out? I have often wondered about this. We picked and froze blueberries last year and they were great for smoothies and to use in cooking but not really for eating in cereal or just a bowl as they were not firm. mburnette912@bellsouth.net
