Brad and Aubree's quilt

Hi friends!
Cold!!!!!
I am working on the single line of Brad's and Aubree's quilt.
I got six done and then started to sew them together when i saw that they weren't matching up so i took that seam out.

Here it is finished! It didn't take me long  to take out that seam because i realized right away it wasn't matching up. But i was finishing up for the night so i just ripped the seams out. Will get back on it this afternoon.
Sat. night i was sitting in the living room and Tommy said 'i think i will pop some popcorn , do you want some'? He knew i didn't feel good are I wouldn't be sitting there doing nothing. Well he popped me some first and brought it to me and when he came back with his popcorn he said' the microwave is tore up"  We had had it 5 years! I think they put a timer on every thing so i stops working after five years!!!!
So many things that we have bought just last five years.
Used to you could retire and not have to worry about replacing every thing every 5 years!
Nothing is cheap any more!!
We just bought a nice new one that cost as much as the one we gave lots for because we though it might last longer.
We just use it to pop corn and bake potato's and maybe heat something up in every once in a long while.
Have a wonderful day friends!
Hugs

Sorry to hear about your microwave. I think you are right about their plan to make them only last a little while. I think our refrigerator/freezer even had an approximate life span on the sticker. It was 10 years. With the cost of those things, that isn't long at all. We bought them in 2002 so they have lasted longer than their 10 years, but every year I wonder how much longer they will last.

Oh so true! Nothing is made to last anymore. I read an article about this a few years ago. It said americans don't want things to last. We are consumed with the thought of being consumers, and having the newest model and we don't care if it last. Obviously they didn't bother to ask me or you, we could have set them straight!

yes it is truly a throw away world these days. nothing lasts. I had a washing machine for three months and they gave me a hard time wanting to replace it. I told the gal I paid good money and you WILL replace them. its NUTS. hope your next one lasts longer for you.
