I am making this from a layer cake I won this year !
I measured and five down will be about right for this quilt. It says 36 by 45 for a wheelchair quilt.

very nice win you have there and you have done it justice. I wash my fabrics too apart from jelly rolls charm packs and layer cakes. Where I buy a lot of my fabric the owner said if you saw the wharehouses you would always wash first!
