enjoying the time with tater bug and Addis Lou   have a great new year .   going to have our black eyed peas and greens later .  love to you all

Happy New Year to you and yours! We had black-eyed peas with hog jowls over rice, fresh collard greens with hot vinegar pepper sauce, johnny cakes, pickled okra, and blessing prayers for the New Year. My mother knows how to cook these to avoid excess salt and fat, so was actually a healthy meal.
