Hi friends!
Cold!!!
Sis got me this for Christmas to show my pictures , she got me one years ago and lighting run in on it.
She got Tommy a knife and a card to a home building store.
Daughter asked and bought me a bunch of sweats sets.
Son  and wife got me a Jo.Anns card but i haven't been in the mood to spend it yet.
We got some Tupperware and hubby some overalls from grands.
My sweet brother and sister for  nearly 45  years got me the prettiest shawl. I love it!
And a dearly loved friend from way off made me a beautiful bag and card.
And last but the biggest a new 50 inch T V from the girls and their families 
 We had a wonderful Christmas , hope you did to.

Nasty day!
I said i was having a 2 year anniversary giveaway and here it is!!!
Four fat quarters of various, 100 % cotton quilting fabric. As always i will include some more things with it.
It has been a very enjoyable 2 years, i have 'meet' some wonderful people and some are good friends.
I may never meet you but i still think a lot of you.
I never thought i would love to blog like i do.  I started it just to keep learning to quilt.
Usual rules apply, i will close it maybe next Monday the 6th so every one get the chance to enter.  Followers only but any one can follow.

This is Addie's quilt.  i made a picture of it when she got it but little fingers erased all my pictures.
She had said she wanted purple white and black
Our baby Luke is in the hospital so say a little pray for him.RSV and a ear infection and pneumonia. Tommy is not feeling good so no visit to the Dr. today. Say a little pray for him to.  That awful flu is going around..

Three more for my BOM with Donna.  I still have one but debating fabrics.

My Christmas quilt with the pillow shams.  Everyone loved it.  Tommy's side is higher then mine because he likes lots of pillows!!!!

When she opened her quilt she said 'where's the toy?' Hopefully it will last longer than any toys.

Blocks for Donna, giveaway on Monday.

Beautiful day!
I made these last night and realized i had not book marked one of the ones i was behind.
So i went back thou Donna's posts and found the one i had missed.
I still like 3, i think to catch up.
I started another but we had company and i was to tired to get back on it when she left.
Maybe i can get them done tonight because i think Donna  is posting some more today.
I want get that post till tomorrow on my email.
We had the best Christmas but spend way to much time in the Dr. office today.  Tommy threw some garbage into the bed of the truck Monday and twisted his spine.
well next week his sis and her hubby are coming to spend the day, so that will be more cleaning and cooking.
Tommy and i go light on the cooking just for ourselves.but i am going to rest until then.
Monday i am having my 2 year anniversary giveaway.

Christmas !!!

Hi friends!
Hope you had the best Christmas ever.
This is Tommy and me in front of the tree, and this  is what his daughters got us.  A 50 inch T V !!!
Tommy is tickled to death , he has bragged to every one what great girls he has.
He was watching 'Gunsmoke' when i took this picture.
As much as i love Christmas , i am so relieved that is is over. It just wipes us both out , i guess we are getting old!!!!
 Tommy's back was 'OUT'. He put some garbage in his truck last Monday and has been in pain ever since.
Maybe we will get to see the Dr. tomorrow.
Getting him to let some one else pick things up is a losing battle  but the girls hubby's pushed him aside and did the heavy lifting.
Lets rest today!!!

That is not much you can write about this close to Christmas.  Making so much Christmas , every thing is for other people  that you don't want them to see.

Two things....  I don't like that Phil Roberson was taken off   'Duck Dinasty'  and i will not be watching A@e until he is back on the show!!!!!!Every one should have the same rights in the USA not just the special groups!!!!
We have all seen these people with their phones glued to their hands  , their faces down reading all the time.
A man was on a railroad track with earplugs in and the train ran over and killed him because despite them using their horn many times  he never heard them!!!
A girl that couldn't swim fell off a dock and had to be rescued because she was looking at face book.
It's bad enough when you can't talk to someone with out them looking at their phone all the time.
But it causes all kinds of wrecks and  you don't want to here me about texting!!!
Some of my grands  eat  sleep with their phones.
That's not living!!!!
Not that it does a bit of good for me to rant about it.

Christmas thoughts

Beautiful day!
It's suppose to  cloud up and the sun not come back until Monday.
These are about all i can put on here for Christmas  sewing i can't put any thing here until after they get their gifts.

My finished Christmas tree.
We are having Christmas with my kids here Sunday so i need to get the rest of my decoration's done and the house cleaned up
Got to get busy finishing gifts and cleaning.

This is a g- grand daughter Christmas present.  She isn't old enough to read this so i feel safe putting it on here.

Saturday night grand son came over with our babies  , mother had gone to eat out with the women of her church so we got to spoil them for a while.

Hi friends!
Beautiful but cold day!
I started quilting on my brother but didn't like the way it was going so i pulled out my Janome.
I will use it today and see if it does it better.  Need to contact the lady that has one to ask her some questions .I will have to go back in my email to see if i can find where she emailed me and pray my stupid email will reply to her.

In this picture you can see the decorations, some are home made. I have made them for years. Still have another tree to put up, i always put my oldest son's tree up for him, we lost him in 2001.
I always put up some things that his brother who died on 1984 made when he was a kid too.
Christmas is always a sad time for me.
Thank God i have so many kids and grand kids and now so many g-grands.
God has blessed me with family.

Addie's quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful but cold.
Finished the flimsy!!!
Maybe today i can get it put together,

This is a Christmas present for a  great grand and she is to young to get on here and read this.
I have to fix a backing for this today and spray baste it , then i can get started putting Addies together.
i have one other for son and his wife to put together , maybe tomorrow.
I have several other small things to make for Christmas that i want be able to show.
just in case they read !!!

I was so tired after keeping him and picking up tin and going to Marvins to get other stuff for this job that i knew i would mess up any sewing if i tryed it  last night.
Hubby knew i was tired so we eat out , where i ran into a old friend i hadn't seen in years.

Addies quilt and little Luke

Hi friends!
Beautiful day! The sun has finally come out!!!!
I put together all the blocks for Addie's quilt.  She wanted purple, black and white.

We keep our luke this morning because his mother had surgery so i got up at six.
We had the best time playing with him

He discovered the Christmas tree.  Hubby put a chair down to keep him away from it. He was trying to climb over it!!!

  He has that smile all the tine!!!
He is the sweetest , we played all morning with him.
We really enjoy our great grands.
Hubby is more limber than i am and gets down on the floor to play with him.

Addies quilt

 Hi friends!
Rainy day!
I layed Addie's quilt out to see how many more blocks i needed to complete it.
It's a birthday present so i can show it!!!
I made blocks Friday night and most of the day Saturday.

My two baby girls studying Friday night.  They spent the night with us.
Hubby cooking Sunday morning.  He would shoot me if he new i put a picture on here of him cooking and wearing his apron i made him. I never could get him  to pose wearing it. My hubby and son built this kitchen for me many years ago.
The cabinets are higher than the norm because i have a bad back

THE TREE

Hi friends!
Rainy day!
The last picture is the latest, but i am not finished!!
I will work on it a day or two more and then put the ornament box out in the closet on the back porch.
The front looks OK but i still need to add some to the back

This is Santa, it's hard to get a good picture of all that white!!!
I found him at "Tuesday Morning' a shop sis and i visit when we shop.
They have great cook ware at lower prices to , it's like a big ware house of all kinds of stuff.

Chris and Amy's quilt

Hi friends!
Rainy day!
This is parts of the quilt that i am making for my son and his wife, she wanted brown.
This is all you will see of it before i give it ti them on the 20th of December.
I love this fabric and i hope they do to.
We went to hubby's Dr. yesterday, they did a ultra sound of his artery's.  Do it ever year since his surgery a few years ago.
We dropped off the Kenmore before going to the Dr. and he called last night to say it was ready.  I haven't tried it yet but i will today.
We went this morning and got her.
Then we had to run around and i haven't had time to check her out.

My new toy

Hi friends!
Another rainy day!
I have looked at sewing machines for months now, ever since i found out that my Janome was 100% plastic.
It hasn't sewed right since i got it worked on, it's not that he didn't fix it because he did but now my bobbin jumps all the time i am sewing.
And i am drawed up in a hard knot excepting it to tear up again.
This is a brother quilting and sewing machine and all but the cover is metal.
I have been sewing on it for a week and i love it but the best thing is it can be fixed when it messes up.
Plastic is a sorry way for sewing machines company's to go.
Cheap dollar store toys are plastic not 300.00 dollar machines!!!
I haven't tried free motion quilting on it yet but it's made for that.
It makes a great 1/4 inch seam!!!! Sews really fast if you want it to.
Going now to play with it!!!
