Getting ready to sew

HI FRIENDS!

Pardon please  my nasty ironing board. I use it for every thing in my sewing room. Really needs a new cover!

As you can see I am putting kitchen towels with pot holders for all my grandkids , still need 10 more finished.

I have made all six  of our kids and 12 of my grands one!
I have way to much fabric but I grabbed this yesterday!

I just love fabric!. Earlier this week we had the truck fixed, the oil pressure would not stay up! This morning we got up at seven to carry my car to him to work on! My light that says brake would come on and stay on. Hoping it just needs new brakes!
Would really hate to have to buy another car! Bought this one when I retired! Been retired for 19 years I retired at 60! Was hoping it would last me the rest of my life! Had about 20,000 miles on it when I bought it , just broke in good!

Today I hope to get a little work done in the sewing room! Next trip to town I want to find me some big buttons for these.

Have a good one

Father's Day

Hi friends!

Their was a sale!  Buy four get one free! Who can pass that up?

As you can see, I didn't!

Can't wait to see the free one!

We had a great Father's day here on Sunday. All Hubby girls came to see him! That very seldom happens! Usually it's two or maybe three but all four came!

He was tickled!

Every one bought food and Tori brought our youngest great grand until August when her next one will be here , another boy that I made that last baby quilt for.
Made him two blankets and a baby mat that plays music.
Made a little more for Maverick but I figure she still has that!

Two of Hubby's girls and one granddaughter uncovering food so we could say the blessing.
Mostly guys talking!
Have a great one

Lots of College

Hi friends!

Last year with the lock-down I made a quilt for my brother who was in the Army. I think Mrs. Bonnie made several for service men last year , she hand stitch's all the quilting.
So thankful for our sisters in the group.

This past weekend we attended Jarrod's graduating party from college, now he [on the left] will be a teacher and a coach here in Georgia.

Then we went to see my daughter to carry David his card , he graduated from high school. The dates got missed up and I didn't get to attend! He is our last grand to graduate from High School.

Lots of our grands are attending college.

But Tatum graduated earlier this year , Alisha is attending I think to do landscaping. She planted her a garden.

Addie lou is in Costa Rica at a vet clinic down there for four weeks and son and his wife went down to fly back with her. She is their baby! She lives in Athens Ga. and is attending Georgia

Her high school graduation picture.
Isn't my baby beautiful!
Kristian works for Oglethorpe university near Atlanta , Jessie works in Chattanooga at a hospital.

Like I always say "smart and handsome and beautiful! but I might be a little bias..
Have a great day

WheelChair Quilt for Our sewing group

Hi friends!

I had these blocks already made and our quilt group  each member is making a wheelchair quilt for the nursing home again.

So I though I would use them! I have more quilts then I can store!!!

I sewed three across and it measured 37, the finished size is suppose to be 36 so that pretty good.

Four in length is 47 and a wheel chair quilt is suppose to be 36 by 45 so those are just right!
Sewed the four rows together.
Ready for sandwiching!
After finishing this I will start our veterans' guilt. Any one that wants to can make one for our veteran's, Last year the one I made went to my brother. All my uncles went in and fought in world war 2.  My first hubby to
We have a big program on Nov. 11th to give them their quilt.
