Quilted!

Hi friends!
Got this quilted!
Just loops but that will hold it together good.
Still working on this binding.
We went to Revival last night at our church , brother Billy Stillwell, from North Carolina, preached a very good sermon.
Tonight he will be back preaching and we will have a Church choir singing for us.
Should be a good night.
We are just having a three night revival!.
We plan on going tonight and tomorrow night.

Yesterday

Hi friends!
Still cutting on Jessica and Richard's quilt.  Just cutting some white here .
A pretty good pile of baby blues cut , not enough greys cut yet.

Didn't get any work done on this yesterday.  Went to town. paid bills and bought groceries and was wore out when we got home.
We were both tired so supper was about it and reading.
Staying at home today so maybe I will get something done.
I did sew a bit on Hubby's new quilt but will post that on my other blog . HERE
Just started it back up after a few month's brake.
Have a great day

Wheelchair quilt

Hi friends!
This is a wheelchair quilt.
Not a good picture but this is the backing. Suppose to make two more before Oct. when we carry them to the nursing home.
Hope to start quilting it today.
I froze all day yesterday, don't know if it was all that water I drunk before they tried to get blood from me or what.
The nurse yesterday said I just had small veins but they didn't used to be. Six months ago was the first time anyone had a hard time getting blood from me.
Maybe it just happens when your veins gets 77 years old. Course Tommy is to and his isn't small.
Have a good one

Small Finish and Jackson's Quilt

Hi friends!
One small finish! I still had a Christmas pillow on my couch so I run this up real fast. Carol sent me some Christmas fabric and this was in it. but it's bees and that means spring to me.
Maybe  it will hurry up spring.
I nearly froze in the Dr. office this morning.
We had to go for our 6 month check up and blood work and for some reason my veins have gotten so small that it's hard to get blood out of me.
I took some water and drank that but she still had a hard time.
First flag of the season.
I got all the blocks together and added it on this weekend and added the binding , now it's on the couch waiting for me to finish sewing it down.
Hopefully in a day or two I will finish it.
Have a good day, raining here.

Jessica and Richard's quilt

Hi friends!
Jessica wanted a grey and baby blue quilt just like one I had made before.
So I found the template and rounded up all the fabric I had bought for her quilt.
Then I started working on it.
I buy fabric for a while before I start a quilt. Have to work it into our budget!
Got one grey strip done, not long enough because they have a queen sized bed.
Then worked on a blue strip.
So far so good!
We go for blood work soon , so no sweet's
Don't know if it matters but one Easter we had a big dinner and egg hunt the day before our blood work and were told we had to watch our sugar, to many chocolate eggs.
So it shows up if you over indulge the day before. And I really did! With Tommy it was cakes but with me it was Chocolate eggs.
That was the only time our sugar was the least bit high!
Have a good day

Sunday Verse

VERSE OF THE DAY

March 24

Joel 2:12-13

12 “Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.

Friday Finish

Hi friends!
Remember this quilt? I put it aside to finish all my Christmas quilts.
Finally finished it last Sunday.
I added borders so it would fit our queen sized bed.
I had so much fun doing this with Melissa of "Happy quilting" HERE Last year, she had some great blocks I hadn't run into before.
See the big block on the left bottom? Hadn't made one like that before. Loved doing those curved seams.
Years ago I was taught in home etc. to start in the middle and sew to the sides to make a good curved seam. Don't think any one teach's that now.
But I was in Home etc 60 years ago!
Worked really good for me.
Have a great warm weekend

Jackson's Quilt and More

Hi friends!
This is what I bought yesterday, Sis and I went down to Fabric-crafts in Centre, Ala
Two are for binding, one for the veteran's quilt I plan on making and the tractors will go in Tommy a quilt. I have been collecting fabric for it for a while.
Jackson's quilt is moving right alone.
He is tall so I want it plenty long enough for him.
Just a little more and it should be ready to bind.
Won these from Diane Cannon from her blog anniversary. Love the candle mat , so pretty.
Makes me want to do one!
Took it and showed it to Dianne from Q-Bees because she does a lot of that.
Have a good one

Finished top and a Win

Hi friends!
Added on the last row but was afraid it might not be wide enough.
So I added on a small border on both sides and to the bottom.
You know it will shrink just a little when it's washed before I give it to them.
Now I have two tops to sandwich just as soon as I have time.
I won this from Tara in her giveaway of Abstract Garden fabric a few weeks ago.
Great filler for a scrap quilt !

Q-Bees Quilt Show

 Hi friends!
Sat. we had our yearly Quilt show.
Love that, part needle work ,in a quilt.
This was the first place winner, all hand sewed and quilted.
The lady bug quilt was Charlotte's from our Q-Bees.
Didn't find out who made this!
The one on the left belongs to my Sister.
 This one to!
The one on the right was my sister's to and took a ribbon.
The only quilt that I had so I entered it.
Made this with Dawn last year or the year before.
More tomorrow.
