Hi friends!
Some quilts from the Chattanooga Quilt Show.

Some of these were so detailed but after daughter saw the sewing machine demo's she said ,' they probably used their machines to do them'
i was so happy to be their that i didn't think about getting info on who made what.

That's enough for today, i think i need a card for my camera , it's not as clear as it was.
I will post the winning quilts and some more tomorrow.

Chattanooga Quilt show

Hi friends!
I have had a great weekend!!
My daughter called me one day last week and asked me if i wanted to go to the quilt show!!
Of course i said YES!!!!!

It was amazing!!!

Having lost my first Husband and two of my children this drew my attention.
The name was "grieve"
Didn't get the name of who did this quilt.

We walked around through all the vender's and saw some demonstrations.
Made me want to spend 10.000 dollars on a new machine!
They could do any thing!! One man said all you had to do was set it and go get you a cup of coffee and a snack and come back when it got that area done and move it over. It ran by itself.  No working the pedal. It could quilt your whole quilt and l all you have to do is move it every so often.

My daughter loved all the quilts and picked out the one she wanted

This is the one she wants me to make her.  A little bigger for her bed!
She was going to buy me a pattern for one she liked not this one but put it back when she looked at the price' 74.99'

Our yard!

Tommy mows 5 or  6 areas every week.

My feet!!!
The next day after something bite me while i was wearing shorts.
Thus the long pants, that lasted two days!!!  To hot for long pants , they are alright for inside where Tommy likes to keep it cold!

What it did to my leg!
Never seen a bug like that but Tommy killed it!
After i knocked it off my other leg that it wanted to bite.

The spot where we drink a pot of coffee every morning that it's warm enough.

This is all the quilt i can get out of this jelly roll. It's 70 inches by 70 inches , need more than that for a queen sized quilt.

I found this in my stash and it has all the colors that my quilt does.

This is a closer shot so you can see the colors a little better.

This one has the burgundy in it but clashes with my quilt.
So this is it!!
A flimsy made!!!
Final size 84 by 86

Not exact but close enough.

I love this more as i go along!

Loving the tea stained look.

It just looks better all the time.'
I think this one will stay here with us.
Tommy has always talked about selling this place more so since he found out they are building more chicken houses up above us, they are already below us and sometimes you can't stand to sit outside.
But Tommy is a country boy and would never be happy any where else.
He would kill him to sale because his family for 4 or 5 generations have lived here in this house.

For some reason this picture has removed the tea stained look but it's still there.

Grandson holding Quilts

Hi friends!
Cloudy weather!
My Grandson came over yesterday to get the quilts that i had made for them and their sons.

I only got a picture of him holding one of the boys quilts.
He was the one wanting flashes of lightening on his quilt.

I like the burgundy sashing on this.
Just pray i don't run out of this fabric because we all know they don't have it when you go back.
I am going to use the other fabric to border it.

This will have to do unless i can find some more of the solid, i had used some of the solid but had nearly 3 yards left of it.
Fingers crossed that it goes the whole sashing.
