Hi friends!
The happy couple and their quilt!
They said they really loved it. This is red haired girl and her hubby son and his wife Ryan and Jess , they got married last year.

This was our birthday supper for my sis and sis in love birthdays.

We had a great time and do every year! Sis's birthday is March 16th and Sis in Love's birthday is in the early days of April so we just combine them.  We do the same thing for Tommy and my brother because of their birthdays is in July.

This is the little bag i made for their grand daughter, haven't heard yet whether she liked it.
.Yesterday i finally found out what the slot on my computer was for! It's a card reader so i can just by pass the cords but i ordered some because i can't charge my Kodak camera and i will use it this Easter to take pictures so it better get here this week.

MY weekend

Hi friends!
I delivered the quilt yesterday but can't get either one of my camera's to work so i just now ordered two new UBA cables , one for each. But not from the place i ordered the one about 3 month's ago and it has already stopped working.
So i will show you some pouches that i have made recently.

I gave this one to my sister along with two sets of pillow cases for her birthday. It's made from Cotton and Steele "moon lit"
Isn't it pretty?

I made another out of this fabric!

And this one for Margret to pick her one and give one to Mel and one to  Shammah

That made 3 for her.

I made a set of these for Margret.

Made each one of them a set of these.!

Friday Finish, Ryan and Jess's quilt

Hi friends!
Finally got my camera to work so i can show you pictures of  Ryan and Jess's quilt.
This is my 23 Grandkids quilt.

See our Tucker, he was picking flowers!

It is defiantly one of a kind!!! I just sewed the label on!
I used  a great deal of my scraps but still have enough to make another.

He and grand paw found a frog!  He calls him Paw Paw!

Camera troubles

Hi friends!
My camera , both of them , just refused to work today with my computer.  It says it's scanning but does nothing. I guess they both need a new cord.  It hasn't been long since i bought a new one for my Kodak.
Yesterday we keep great grandson.

We had a good time!!!

Last night when i tried to sew with my hand it didn't hurt so i finished hemming on my quilt and washed it now all i like is sewing in the label.
Had some nice pictures but i can't get them to go on the computer.
Well i am tired of trying so ..... Have a great day friends.

Still Pillowcaseing!

Hi friends!
Another pillow case.!
I think Sis will like this set.  Her birthday was nearly two weeks ago so i am making her some. She doesn't read my blog because she is at work and doesn't have wifi at home.
I am sure she will love the teddy bears.  She has teddy bears all over both her houses that she has made.

See my finger, i used spray paint to fix a place where it leaked back during the winter. Of course Bobby came over and fix the roof right away but i had been waiting until i could open the house so the fumes wouldn't bother Tommy, He has COPD.  He was raking hickory nuts  that day to keep them from dulling his lawn mower blades.
I don't like but most of one side to finish the hem on Ryan and Jess's quilt.  So i may try again tonight to hand sew it. Then if i can't do it i will sew it down.

Some where i won a spool of this thread from Connecting Threads and it last and last so i ordered 6 spools. They were out of the lighter colors but when they get in some i will order some of those. These will do for now, hopefully it will blend in on my quilts.

Ryan and Jess's quilt

Hi friends!
I am still making pillow cases.
I sent Terry a comment on each one of her blogs yesterday and she replied so i just sent her cat fabric to her.
She is having problems so she hadn't been blogging. I am just glad she answered.

I may have to machine sew the hem because every time i start to hand sew it my arm starts hurting.
That's when it bothers me the most.   I though it was fine yesterday until i started to work on that quilt.

The other evening  we were outside and Tommy called me over to get a picture of this. That's trees budding out!!  All pink, looks like a sunset.

Working on lots of things

Hi friends!
I used the falcon fabric to make a birthday present for Jarrod , our grandson who turned 17 this year. in Jan.  I am really running late.

This is different from the way i did do them. These he can use on standard or queen sized pillows.
I need to do David one by Easter and Angel for her 18th birthday.

I am working on two different things on the couch when i sit down at night.
Hemming Ryan and Jess's quilt and taking a seam out of a fleece blanket, sis had pined it so i just sewed it up and then noticed it was wrong sides out side which would have been fine but i put two rows of seams all the way around.  So now i am taking out the inside seam!
That package on the other side of my work is zippers from "Zipit", i have used the ten i first ordered so i ordered 25 more.  Thanks Dawn for getting me hooked on pouches. She blogs at sewyouquilt2
Working on some things this week for birthdays that i will show later. I am waiting until tomorrow to redraw a winner.

Ryan and Jess's quilt

Hi friends!
I quilted all afternoon Saturday!
Straight lines shadowing  each seam line and then on the wides strips and on the blocks i did hearts because they just got married last year

Then i sewed on the binding.

Yesterday i hemmed some and then rested my arm!  Having to take it slow because of pulling a muscle in my right arm and shoulder.  I did it 3 weeks ago today carrying Tucker to the porch from the dog pins and it get better and then worse.
I've got a couple of sides done .
There is no such thing as resting to the point of not using so i just take it slow.
My winner Terry has not answered and hasn't blogged in the last few weeks so tomorrow i will pick another name. But first i will send her another email. This will the the third.

Hi friends!
Trimming all the excess off! Hope to finish quilting it today and adding the hem.
After the  rain yesterday every thing just bloomed out!

I feel like spring is just about here but weather man is saying frost by next weekend.
Prayer please for a sweet cousin of Tommys that i love that has cancer.
We just found out about it but she has know since last summer.  But we had our number changed and hadn't seen her in years since my grands left Gilbert school where she worked.
She is the sweetest person and loved kids.

Good new!
I am getting  my comments!!!!!
That thing has drove me crazy!!!!
I still have one more thing that i have to figure out one more of my  things that didn't want to switch but hopefully i will get that soon.
I started the quilting yesterday!  Just using my walking foot right now.

I had just started here and hadn't put on my walking foot.   I am sewing 1/4 inch on each sides of the seams.
It's fogy today , i am hoping the sun will burn the clouds away and we will see some sun.

Isn't that a pretty sight?  But we almost always have a freeze before Easter!  That is April The 5th. Not much longer.!!!!

quilting!

Hi friends!
I spent the after noon yesterday smoothing the back of my quilt to get it ready for this!

And this is what i will be doing for a few days!
I think i am going to do Hearts over the blocks and the rest of the quilt i am going to follow the lines of quilting or maybe a 1/4 inch over to each side of the sewing line.
Hearts  because they just gor married last year. but the quilt calls for the shadow by the lines are at least i think so. I couldn't answer you Julierose yesterday because my comments are going to  my old email and they have screwed  up blogger so that i can't change it over.
Just when i needed to bad!!!!!!
I did make something the other day i want to show you!

It's another pouch but made out of some very thin fabric, the fabric with the stars. I though i might get to see Anna while she was home on spring brake and give it to her but guess not!

Ryan and Jess's quilt

Hi friends!
Got to feeling better last night so i made a quilt sandwich of their top.
So i will be quilting for the rest of this week!

Pretty backing , it will be pretty on both sides.  I've got to spread her out and smooth the backing and then i will start.

These are the clips Sis got me for Christmas and you don't have top use all your strength just to open these.  They worked a whole lot better then my old ones.  I still have so many scraps left that i just might have to make another scrap quilt.

Tatum's Play

Hi friends!
We went yesterday to see "Illegally Blonde" Our Tatum was the one running around with the boggin and glasses.
She was on stage all the time except for clothes change.  She is a 10th grader so she and one other in her class was all that was in the main players.  They always let the 12th graders take the starring roles in the plays.  They are doing "Macbeth" next but  Tatum is not in it, she is going to be the stage manager.
She started doing this when they moved over there 11 years ago. It was a dancing singing play , like a 2 hour work out!  How they jumped rope and sang is beyond me!!!!
I enjoyed the play but mostly enjoyed watching my baby out there.
She was 6 when they moved out there , just about killed this grandmother.

They do plays  all year long.  It's the North Hall Hollow Horse players in Gainsville Ga. If you are ever in the state you should see them. They have a great Director Jan Ewing.
My camera would not take good pictures and we were in the balcony.
I have been fighting with my computer most of the weekend , trying to get it back the way i want it, finally last night i got it to take pictures!!! I am sure there is something i have forgot to set to the new e-mail. but most of the major things are done
My giveaway drawing will be tomorrow! To sore and stove up to do much today!
Climbing those stars behind my fast moving son made my knees so sore !
I am blessed to be old!!!!
I loved it !!!! But yesterday was the last day!

Hi friends!
Well I'm back, a little wiser and broker.
Some one sent me a file and i opened it and it hacked my e-mail and sent it to all my friends.
I had to change email and since i couldn't get back on my old email i am starting from scratch.
Oh well!!!!
I made this backing up for the scrap quilt Wednesday. maybe be she can use both sides?
Yesterday i had the boy!!!

So didn't get any thing done.
Today i am going to sew a little and put these in the freezer.

We ate a few of them!
Grand son sold them for baseball.
