Today

Hi friends!
I finished quilting x's on it last night and it's in the washer now.
Sat. i got up sick with a awful cold.
Awful because i hadn't had one on 30 years and didn't remember how awful you feel with a cold.
I have more and more sinus problems as i get older but hadn't had a cold in so long i had forgot how sore you get with the sneezing and coughing.
Two days of Thanksgiving must have been a little much for this old lady! But i will do it again next year because i love it.

Going to do a over haul on this today hopefully, it needs it bad!
I found some silver ribbon in my crafts to use for the bow.
But will have to make a run by the dollar store to pick up a few do-dads for it.

My Bradford pears leaves are finally coming down.  Aren't they beautiful!
They have hung on so long that they are all red.
It has rained here since Sunday morning and suppose to rain until Wednesday late . We will be water logged!

Still quilting

I have quilted just about all the saching and maybe i will have the time in the next few days to finish it.
But tomorrow is for cooking and cleaning.
Today is my birthday !
This morning the mailman ran and Tommy brought me a birthday card with this in it...

Two of them from my dear friend Sandie.
She knew i needed it bad because i have long  finger neels and fat fingers. Always making mistakes and then there is my smart kindle saying things i didn't say.

I have decided to free motion the saching and just sew across each block with a x if i can.
This machine will quilt every thing but not these blocks made out of more polyester than cotton.

I have never seen it just dig into the fabric like it does.
So i will set it to sew after i get done with this part and use my walking foot to do that part.

Sandwiched!

 Got my seventh row sewed on yesterday and sandwiched it . I think this picture was made before i took that bottom row off and fixed it.

Today i will iron it before i start quilting.
I may not get finished since it usually takes me two days to quilt one.
Latley i have been using my bed to put them together .
But most of the ones i have done recently are small quilts.
 I cut the 14 inch squares for my Christmas table runner but have lost them some where which is why you have heard nothing about them recently.

Still working on Christmas projects to but they will be for after Christmas.

Sequins and broke needles

Hi friends!
I started yesterday with this!

Went to this.

We didn't go any where yesterday and i can do so much more when we stay at home.

These are boogers! i broke at least five needles yesterday trying to sew and keep the sequins.
After the fifth needle i started taking them off near the seam line.
This lady loved her sequins!
It's raining cat's and dog's here but at least so far the wind is not as bad as predicted.

Our Weekend

There is a lot of ripping with this because of the stretching. I went yesterday and got some more interfacing to finish the quilt top.

It's not long enough with just what i have together now. May need at least 3 more rows.

This is one of our wedding pictures. That little boy, Michael,  graduates from  ole Miss next month
 Eighteen years ago this last August.

Mark came and got his Pillow over the weekend. He is growing into a handsome boy
I am way behind on Presents , got to make My Tatum a present because her birthday is today.
I will see her next week and give it to her.

Sunday Prayers

Today

Hi friends!
I worked on this quilt all afternoon yesterday.

Got the third row done , added it but now i am taking it off to try to get it to line up right.
I put it on the couch so i could rip out the stitches when i have time to sit down and made another row.

Made two of these but the other i put to use in the sink. Tommy bought me a dish washer years ago but i hated the smell when i loaded more dishes, it took all day for us two to half fill it so i just started back washing them.  Doesn't take five minutes!
Those rags you buy don't last long before they get nasty to so i made me some of these last year and really like them.

Tommy is making one of our dogs a new dog house.
Just like the one he made years ago for Copper when he and Rusty decided they hated each other.
Rusty has been living in the plastic one we bought for both of them but now it leaks so he needed one. Just went out to help him get it up there and will have to help him get it into the fence in a minute.
Came back and brought all my flowers onto the back porch so they wouldn't freeze tonight .
It's a cold north wind blowing out there.

I'm back!

Hi friends!
I finished this  Sat. but my laptop locked me out on Monday. So i put my desktop into the shop and they fixed it.
Still have a messed up laptop!!!!!
I made pictures on Monday because that was the first sunny day we had in a long time.

My Christmas quilt!
I have been working on a quilt for Jess's daughter and have got a good bit done on it.

I have already used 3 packs of interfacing and will have to get another to finish it up. Still like 8 more blocks to have enough.

This  is the daughter's grandmother's shirt's and they are all cotton knit.

I am also working on my dish cloth's and have finished two , will post tomorrow.

Falling Stars quilt

Hi friends!
I decided to use the green border print for the binding.
Checked and just barely had enough. Here i am triming after adding the binding.
I started hand sewing the binding last night.

Just barely enough, i think i had about a 2 inch strip left.
A couple of weeks ago i won along with some other blogger on Here on Pamelaquilts.
This is the sweet pile of fabric she sent me. Not a very good picture.

I am collecting sewing themed fabric, don't have many yet but this will go with what i do.Have a good one.

Quilting

Hi friends!
I quilted almost all of the falling charms Christmas quilt yesterday!
I used my desk chair and had to add a pillow to get the right height.
One thing about it , when you do swirls your desk chair moves with your arms.
That ends up making you sore across your back.
Just though you might like to know that fact!!!!
I was nearly finished with it when i sewed one and i noticed it had a hump between it and the next one over.
So i had the use the ripper on that part , maybe i will get her finished and the binding sewed on, if i can find any thing here that will work that is.
I may have to buy some tomorrow .
I though i had some Christmas green put back for it but couldn't find it when i looked for it yesterday.

I found this but it's has to much  pink tones in it. If i have to buy i will look for a Christmas red. But today i will look some more for that green.
No sense in buying if you already  have something that works.

I am doing big swirls all over it.
I cut some fabric for the quilt i am doing for Jess , my friends granddaughter but i will have to buy 3 yd.s of a solid and some iron-on interfacing along with battening and backing when i go to town tomorrow.
Their are two house coats but they are thin and the rest are cotton knit so i will need a good bit of the iron on.

Need to finish quilting

Hi friends!
I was going to quilt some on this last night but after supper i had a head ache.
This humid air and cloudy days keeps me having them.

I want to get it quilted so i can start a quilt for a friends daughter. She wants me to make one for her daughter for Christmas from clothes that was her grandmothers.
She died earlier this year and she promised her she would get one made for her.

Last winter my shoulders would get cold so i am going to make me a small shawl to use this winter.
I had just about give up on crocheting .
It's been a long time since i have done any thing but quilt.
This picture doesn't do the color justice. It's a beautiful shade of Rose.
I take just about the whole couch for my hobby's!

Sandwiched and superman

Hi friends!
I sandwiched my Christmas Falling Charms Quilt , i will start quilting on it soon.
Last Friday we had company!
Superman!

Kim had combed his curls over!
He was fascinated by those weeds.
This was his Trick and Treat costume.
His mother was taking him to work with her to hand out candy and see other kids.

He ran all over the yard before she got him ready and every time a car went by he headed for the road. He loves cars!

Kim and Richard and his mother had their hands full. Their is no way we could keep little kids any more.
Of course i will be 74 this month.
Going to have a giveaway closer to my birthday.

Don't think i did any thing else , nearly finished my Falling Charms quilt but that will be for next month.

I don't think i put this one on last months because i finished it  right alone time for the shower which was 10/4.  Couldn't find my Shower pictures.
I am going to have to keep a running list because windows 10 has a funny way of adding your pictures any where it wants and half the time i can't find them when i need them'
Enough rant at that!
