Cleaning Day!

Hi friends!
Yesterday was clean my machine day. This is the one i quilt with. I need to quilt Alisha's quilt so i cleaned it up good.
Loleen said on a blog where i was gripping about the noise this one makes, to put more padding under it. I have a quilting mat under it but that wasn't helping at all.

I tried this amount but it was to much, almost fell off ! So i cut it in half, hoping that would help.
I cleaned her out good so i could use her today while Tommy is out side working.
 All cleaned and oiled.
I have the most trouble with comments! Not all the comments that gets left on the blog makes it to my email. Doesn't any one know how to fix this ?
I sent blogger a message but it's still the same. It has to come from them sense i get most of the emails.
Have a good one
Hugs
Quilt Happy.

Hi Barb
You can't fix the email notification feature. It was changed about 1-1/2 years ago when there was a huge google hack. I think all platforms have changed so that you will not receive a notification from a third party, which I guess they consider Blogger to be. The best you can do is switch notifications to come to your g-mail account. I read my blog roll from my Google Dashboard so I notice all comments that I didn't get a notification on.

I like to comment back, as you know, directly from the notification. If I don't get one, I have to go to my e-mail and send it from there. It's a pain, but I have to admit that I still like Blogger.

I did research on this situation when it happened. To the best of my knowledge, it is not going to change. Google just doesn't play well with anyone but Google.
xx, Carol

I need to do that very soon to my machine.

I had trouble with yahoo address last year. I have an yahoo email account and it seemed anyone who made a comment on my blog with a yahoo address sent to mine I would not get. I am using my suddenlink account with blogger now and have no trouble at all. Blogger offers no help with any of their problems sad to say.

I always love how my machine sounds and runs after a good cleaning.

Hi Barb! you could try a piece of a non slip product or a rubber mat under your machine. They are a bit noisy due to their size and the all metal gears etc etc. Oiling regularly also stops a bit of the noise. I find my PQ1500 is noisier on a less stable table but if I set it up on my big oak dining table, she is quiet! so try the mat idea, it might help. Re the comment notifications... I don't get a notification if the person is not on Blogger. I don't get notifications if the person is on WordPress at all. I just check back on my own Blog page after I've posted and check there.

I have that problem too of the machine vibrating. Some are much worse than others when dirty.
