Quilt Show

Hi friends!
We, Sis and I , went  to a quilt show near here.
Just a small one !
This Alabama quilt was made by a friend of mine for her grandson.
Her son's family  are close  friends with my son's family.
You can see she used pictures of him as a child.
This was made by a lady we meet there and talked to, she said each butterfly was a folded handkerchief.
The Jacobs ladder was made by another old friend that i worked with for years.
These were made and machine quilted by a lady named Janie that i didn't know.
Loved this one!
This one was made by another friends that i worked with for years and didn't know she quilted.
My niece by my first marriage was there with her daughter and her mother who hand stitches quilt, she said she did 33 last year!
One lady way back in a corner had a hand cross stitched quilt , i don't know how big it was but she was asking 150.00$ for it. I asked her how long it took her to do one block and she said 9 hours! Seriously under priced!
They had a drawing and i won a candle!
The scent is "cotton"
Think it might help  with my buying problem? smell this and not buy!!!!!
I don't think so!
Hugs

Oh love those pix from the quilt show--I love those roses, too--my Grand'Mere made one with pink roses and mint green leaves--also stitched in the same manner...hugs, Julierose

You can just never get enough quilt looking! We have a local quilt show every year given by the Amish community. They are amazing. I am hoping to get into Chicago for the show this year. A candle that smells like cotton? It's a wonder that you can smell it since you are SO Surrounded by cotton all the TIME!!

Glad you had a good time.
xx, Carol
