Another start and a top!

Hi Friends!

Working on another t-shirt quilt, for a friend of mine's brother. The shirt are just like some my brother has. He worked with the cruisers until he got to where he though he was to old. He's younger than I am!

Got another Christmas top finished to.

Just two more of those to go! I may carry a scrap when we go to Chattanooga and see what I can find at JoAnn's.

Just happened to notice that those poinsettias were the same color that the panel was.

It rained here all day yesterday and all night last night , still at it but they say it will move out before the trick or treaters hit.  Just hope we have some! Since they started having the walk in town for the safety of the kids we may get a grandkids but that's all.

Burp Cloths

 Hi friends!
Keep adding to the pile!

This is the last one I made last night.
Spent a lot of time looking yesterday for boy fabric and had lots more than I though.

I found this for the back of the changing pad.

And this for the next Christmas quilt.
Trying to make each one different.
Earlier I couldn't post pictures at all but keep om trying
Raining buckets here today and then I'ts suppose to turn cold. Maybe It will kill that ragweed!

Flannel for Baby Things

Hi friends! 

They were really low on flannels with blue in them. But grey will work! And the print is baby things.

I cut some backs for more burp cloths with that. I will shop a little later for more flannels in blue. I had some that Juliarose {Juliarosequilts}sent me.  She sent me pink and blue!  But I have used up the blue!

I know I want to add snowmen to Kim's quilt but maybe not this!

I have another that might work. Maybe It wont be so loud!

I also got this, not big enough for blankets but can make small stuff . I wanted to make some receiving blankets to. 

But I think I have some coated cotton that will make a great backing for a changing pad.
So may make that next! About to start on a t-shirt quilt.
Going to be busy around here until Christmas.

For Baby

Hi friends!

Yesterday I worked on burp cloths! A couple with bears and a yellow one since they will be for a boy.

Made another yellow.

After taking this picture I dropped my camera so I though it must be time to quit.

Our trees are turning!

It's beautiful this time of year.

Since these last couple of pictures were made this morning I guess I didn't break it.

Planning on making a few more burp cloths and then some bibs.

Haley's Princess Quilt

Hi Friends! 

You can just barely see Haley's face but she loved her princess Quilt.

They brought her by after she got out of school.

I gave them their quilt to! Can't find the pictures of the finished quilt but that's one grands quilt and one great-grand a quilt.

Next will be Eli's and Kari's Quilt.

Almost ready to quilt Jessica's and Richards quilt.

As soon as I finish the QOV.

Christmas sewing

Hi friends!
Adding strips around my Christmas panels for My girls.

We stopped after our trip to the lung specialist yesterday and I got some more reading material.
All they really did was get all his info , check his lungs and change his inhalator,
His lungs were clear after a strong round of antibiotics.
They think if he uses his inhaler every day he should quit having Bronchitic. He has had it five times this year.
So we go back in six weeks.
I have at least started my Christmas presents! Working on 3 and 4 , trying to find ways for them to be different.

Playing With Fabric

Two out of Five

Still working on this!

Found some fabric that I liked for the second one of these.

It's getting hard to find fabric that goes with this truck panel in my stach.

Got two finished out of five!

At least some of my Christmas gifts are ready for quilting.

Tommy got the heater cleaned out , isn't as bad since I don't sew in here any more. but my sewing room doors opens right by the heater.

I have spent 30 minutes trying to get a picture on here and this is the only thing that worked!

Quilting

Hi friends!

I spent my fifteen minutes of sewing yesterday quilting this.

We had to go see Dr. Jeff and pick up a few things at the grocery store. Seems like that the only place we go , to Dr.s and buy groceries.

Washed this one yesterday so today I will de-string it!

Make sure I clip all the threads off it and press it. Still have to put my name on it and stitch down the label. 

Hoping to finish quilting the top one today.

One Finished Quilt of Valor

Hi friends!

Finished one Quilt of valor.

Now I start on the next one.

This is a donated quilt top that I brought home to finish.

Got it sandwiched over the weekend. I think I am just going to follow the seams to quilt it. and then I will  bind it and will have two to give to two Veterans this year. 

Need to finish them so I can get some serious Christmas quilting done.

They called with us a apt for  Tommy to see  a lung specialist for next week.

Since he has had Bronchitis five times this year they though he needed to go.

He welded and smoked for years.

Saturday Finds

Hi friends!

This is the fabric I bought at Fabric and Crafts quilt shop.

This is the panel! 

But I finished making a quilt top with this fabric that was in my stach.

The Sants's  just matched!!!

So that's two tops finished for Christmas so far , need to finish three more and another Quilt of Valor.

Yesterday I finished binding this one , just need to wash it now.

Oct. Q-Bees meeting

Hi friends!

We had a great Sat. meeting of the Q-Bees.

We all  meet at Fabric Crafts in Centre Ala. then after shopping went to the nursing home to deliver over 30 wheelchair quilts.

Afterwards we went to a local restaurant to eat together.

We always have a good time when we get together.

This was our Oct. meeting.
Next month our meeting will be at the Veterans quilt giveaway. I am almost finished with one and got a donated quilt top ready for  quilting , Hope to have both ready for next months meeting.
Going to be a busy month getting both ready to give away.

No Sewing!

Hi Friends!

We spent the whole day yesterday in Rome.  Tommy got his x-ray and I saw my Dr. Then I made a stop at Ollies for books ,As you can see. 

They have great buys in books. By the time we got home it was nearly 5.

Sat down to watch the news and went to sleep, didn't think I would sleep last night but did and sleep good.

No sewing at all yesterday!

But got to get busy today.

We have a trip planned with the Q-Bees for tomorrow.

So will have pictures on Monday.
