Cutting scraps

 Hi friends!

Been cutting up scrap pieces into 3 inch strips or squares to try to clean up my sewing room a little. Not getti8ng very far!

Think I am going to need something bigger!

Problems!

Santa came!

 I am way behind plus the presents I ordered before Thanksgiving hasn't come! Over a month! 

Today we went to the bank to move some money and it was locked up! After I dressed up we had to do it at the drive-thru.!  But got my Christmas shopping done except for the mail! Which will come after Christmas I am sure!

Not going to hold my breath!

Our Week

 Hi friends!.

This morning I got  postcard from a woman in Kansas asking me to be sure and vote! It's no-ones business if I vote or who I vote for but we are covered up with cards every day from candidates. Can't get packages in the mail but boy can we got those things! And phone calls all day long! We just don't answer!

Rant over!

Really love my new machine but still don't know much about her! Going to do just plain sewing on her today and see how she does. Every day I learn something new about her!

Yesterday morning early we went to buy groceries and then we voted!

Never seen a Christmas like this before

Santa has been good to me this year..

Still just learning how she works! She appliques! Or will if I ever figure out how.

Tommy's great niece came over with us a basket of fruit for Christmas today.

Christmas will be a sad day because we will not have anybody here, just like Thanksgiving was.

But can't take a chance with Tommy's lungs.

Christmas Gifts Maybe?

 Hi friends!

All I like finishing this is across the top! It big , a 30 by 40 and the frames are to high at their site so I will be looking for a frame at Walmart.

Thinking about making some of these.

Got to get started on Christmas!

Saw some great patterns on blogger to make things for Christmas Gifts. Not to make them. 

Last week I drug around , the virus heavy on my mind but this week I am ready to start.

Staying At Home

Hi friends!

Finally got finished with the tree. 

Need to put some things on this tree, just has lights.

Working on the night sky now, lots of black and blue diamonds.

Got the get myself in gear and start sewing for Christmas.

Hubby just had a 24 hour bug so now he is fine, always a worry about covid 19.

This top was made by my sister-in-laws aunt. So I am going to make it up into a quilt for my Sis-in-law.

Yesterday I made the backing for it,

Thinking about  modpodging this, I have had it forever , maybe with Christmas fabric..

Won this from "Melvalovesscraps" Took ten are 11 days to get it. Mail is in bad shape.

Love some of the those patterns and can't wait to try them out.

Finished this!

Set this up in the sewing room but I think I have a better one in the closet. A fuller one at least!

Christmas Early

Hi friends!

Matching pillows for a Christmas present.
 Still having problems loading pictures!

Took this for ever getting to our house, got to Chattanooga and sat there for days!  They are now delivering on Sunday but still takes a long time!

Going to make a few of these!

I went to my daughter's yesterday for a welcome home dinner for our Angel and Cameron, They came home from Texas so we did a early Christmas for them.

My phone was full and I did't think to take a camera

Hubby stayed home because of his lungs.

So tired of this Covid 19 !

Christmas Pillow's

Hi friends!

 My latest pillow  cover is just a tiny bit to big but I will take care of that today.
 

A little blurry!  But i love this fabric!

I have been down in the dumps , I think I need to buy fabric!!!!!

Haven't bought any in a month or two!!! Bought some black solid last. For that last quilt.

Had some stuffing so I made a couple! And sewed a couple of seams in this!

Got that one tightened up.

A couple of more for Christmas presents!

One Messed up day

Hi friends!

We had a day yesterday! Had a Dr. apt in Rome at 10:30 at nine something they called and said they had to change it to 3:00, since we were up any way we went and got groceries. Ran a bunch of Errands and then went down there! This is the DR. office that cancelled his apt because every one working there had covid 19 even the DR.!

Today Hubby is staining and waterproofing the front porch

And I.

Have cleaned all the rugs and carpet! At least the house feels cleaner. And I feel like a shower!

But not finished yet!

Fall!

It's in the dryer!

Lots of trees are bare!

Always lots of green even in the winter with all the ever-greens. 

Hubby will cut up the leaves as soon as the Bradford pears give up theirs!

And they have just started , maybe by Thanksgiving

Frost Last Night

Hi friends!

Keeping it real! Have one spot I have to fix and them it's done. Got the binding sewed down and then I saw it!

Had a freeze last night so the orka is done. A few years ago our first freeze was Oct. 12th.  Don't know if that means anything or not, may just be a cycle we go threw.

Glad to get close to finish with that one, need to find something to make for Christmas. Something I haven't made for all my people before . Already made bowl holders, double pot holders and towels to hang on their ovens! So I will be trolling all the blogs I follow for a good idea!

Any Ideas?
