Quilting and Weather

Hi friends!

Got a little done over the weekend!

Yesterday we spent  the afternoon in Rome , Hubby had a scan and then we visited his blood vein Dr.. Good news every thing was the same.
But we were wore out by the time we got back and went to the bank. Mostly the bank! I sat in there waiting to talk to some one for 20 minutes before I gave us and just did half of what I went in there to do!

Lots of people working but only one doing what I needed doing and she was  talking  to some woman for 20 minutes. May be she was buying the bank!!!

Ida is dumping on us and has been since yesterday before we went to the Dr. Then it's going to visit my friends Dawn and Julierose, hope it dries out some before it gets that !

Hoping it goes back out to sea before then for good!

We have gotten a years worth of rain!!!

Made a circle of stars around a bigger star! Now waiting for a big idea for the next step!!!!

Veterans Quilt

Hi friends!

Working on a veterans quilt, just hope we can give it  to a vet. Last year I gave to my brother who was stationed in Germany years ago. And don't know if we will be allowed to go into the nursing home , right now no one is allowed,

Guess we will just have to wait and see!

Kind of designing as I go!

So we will see where it goes.

That's all I got  done yesterday, hoping to get more done today.

I sewed those two on the bottom weeks ago! But just yesterday so the mistake!
 

Now I can go on with my quilt top!

Hi friends!

Amos Decker witnessed a murder right in front of the F.B.I. building! With total recall he can recall every detail! The killing is baffling! 

Decker's  team, partner Jamison, can find no point when the killer and victims has crossed paths.  One, A school teacher a part time one at that! And the killer owns a consulting firm and after killing her he turns the gun on himself. So no one left to answer questions.
 The victim is rich! Has a fine home and drives a hundred thousand dollar car! With no visible means of support so they start digging into her background only to find nothing of her life before ten years ago.

Enter Harper Brown!, member of the D.I.A. and she want to take the case away from Decker.

Lots of  gov. firms in this one because it become a risk to the U.S.A. 

Didn't  know if I would like this but it's very good and I will be buying more by this author, David Baldacci.

We had a visit to Hubby's eye DR. yesterday so reading was all I got done.

Still praying for our northern states plus near Nashville we had 21 people drown , they got so much rain  they had floods.

Covid is Rising!

 Hi friends!

My sewing for last weekend! Was running low! Now I need to make a few bowl cozies!

Love those Pioneer woman towels! Really good towels!

The virus is getting worse all the time here., read where they closed a town down in Texas because of covid 19! 76 people in our small county has died from this virus!

Second wheelchair Quilt

 Hi friends!

Two down and a veterans Quilt next.

The first one!

Hoping to be able to hand these out but I think right now they are locked up because of the Delta strain! These are finished and we will do something with them in Oct.

We didn't get to hand them out last year because of the virus. We are still hoping! We had our 24th anniversary this month and ate at a drive threw!!!! Same as last year! But Happy to stay home if it keeps us alive!

Not ready to part with my wonderful hubby yet!  Been a great 24 years!

Back to wearing a mask when around other's to! Those masks are hot and sweaty! Don't know how people work in them all day?

So far on my vet. quilt I have half a line made and a few lose blocks .  That has to be ready by Nov. first.

So I have got to get busy on that. Still making hanging towels for ovens to. Went to buy pot holders and it's hard to find any!

Going to have to make my own!!!

Hate to use quilt fabric for that!!!!

Catch Up

Hi friends!

The quilt shop at Tunnel Hill came to our quilt meeting last night. She had to move to a cheaper building because of the pandemic.  But maybe we helped out last night. So nice of her to come to us. Plus she gives us a discount because of us being a quilt group

.Mine! I needed something for my vet's quilt and a binding, three yards of one and I of the other, she also has those wooden towers to run your thread over the machine. Should have gotten a picture , sis bought one. I have one but it's metal!

I ordered mine from somewhere!

We had a good crowd last night.
