Nette's Quilt Finished!

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!

I finished my daughter's quilt!  It's in the washer now and i will have to cut all the stray threads and sew on a label.
I used a blue sheet on the back.

 

It's hung sideways with the top and bottom on the side's here.

Would have made the top and bottom borders bigger but didn't have enough of that fabric to do it.
I wanted it with plenty of fall on each side.
The size is 91 by 94inches.
A very good queen sized quilt.
It matches her pillow shams that i made her for her birthday.
Love you baby.

Nette's Quilt

Beautiful day!
Saturday we had company all day and I didn't get to sew. Yesterday afternoon I quilted this.  It took all afternoon!

I got some of the binding sewed on last night but not all.   I hope to work on it more tonight.
It's my daughters quilt to match her pillow shams that I made her for her birthday.

This is a picture made of a picture of us at our reception after our wedding nearly 17 years ago.

It was held at my son and daughter-in-laws house in 1997.

Given by Amy[ daughter. in law] and Tommy's Abby.

We had a good crowd at the wedding and Amy handed our camera's to every one so they could make us pictures.

Tommy paid for a album of wedding pictures but it was only half full, I though they should have giving half of the money back. Don't guess they did!!!

Another Flimsy made into a sandwich.

I bought a pale blue sheet for this one, not great but OK.
This is my daughter's quilt.

I'll will have two to free motion quilt just as soon as i have a couple of hours to start them..

I made two [pot holders] yesterday , one my Elvis pot holder and this one!

I made it out of a half square triangle and some more scraps when i was trying to do something with the mountain of scraps i have piled into baggies here and there.
I think they multiply, like rabbits.
Maybe this weekend i can work on that some to.

Hand made Christmas

My entree is a Elves pot holder and a  Christmas scrap mug rug.

You all know how to make a pot holder so this is not new to you.

I made it double sided.

Elvis is on both sides.

The rug mug is just Christmas scraps  sewed together to make a mug rug for Christmas.

Mark's Quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
I did get a little done yesterday but no sewing.
Got Tommy to help me bring in the table off that hot porch and set it up inside so i could sandwich this quilt.
Found the perfect sheet for the backing., it has a little green in it for this quilt.

Going to look good with it don't you think?
We ran around all afternoon yesterday, Dr. apt. ,Tags for Tommy's truck and went to see my sweet brother on his birthday.
Then Tommy got some free ion in his truck so it was supper time when we got home.
So i didn't get in sewing time!!!!

But at least i have one quilt ready to free motion quilt it.  Just don't know whether i will have time , house needs cleaning bad after running around for 3 days.
Spray basting in the house gummed up the floor so i have to mop!!!!

 When Alisha was here last week she asked me to make her a bag like mine and you know when your grand baby's ask for something you always try to do it.

I though she would like what i lined it with!!!
I put her one pocket inside hers because she is to young for a phone or car keys..
She loved it but of course i have to make her a pillow sham to go with the quilt i made her last year because she will be 13 next month.
I still have a few days to do that!
She was the one making the funny face last week after a trip to the dentist.
I took one back yesterday and the three oldest for their check up and clean so they are all good until January.
Have to get to work, quilt's are calling me!!!

Nette's quilt is a filmsy!

Hi friends!
Rainy day!
Making more churn dash block's for my daughter's quilt.

I already had enough blocks for the bottom row.   Is is so light and airy looking.

All it needs now is the borders, and i am going to use the sea shell's fabric for that.

Now all i like is the backing , battening and it will be a sandwich.  Then i can quilt it.
I have Marks ready to make a sandwich of to so i should be busy for the next week.

Our Garden

Good Corn!

Hi friends!

Rainy Day!

Maybe i will get to sew today!

We gathered all this corn last night after we got back from seeing the Dr..

I put them 12 to a freezer bag!

This is what 154 ears of corn looks like ready for the freezer.

Just had 10 in my last bag.

We will pull some more next week, some wasn't ready yesterday.

We usually get a little less the second pull.

After that we will get a few ears for a while, we usually get around 250 to 300 and we hand them out because all our great grands love them and a few of our grands do to.

We eat them all winter long.  We love peaches and cream corn!

Maybe i will get to sew , that's two days this week that i haven't got to.

Today

We had to go to Rome for a Dr. apt. today, i got me some more  grips to hold down my big quilts so i can pin them 

These two things are what Tommy got!
He was waiting for them to go on sale to buy them.

I did get two more of these done for my daughter's quilt.

Mostly i worked on this quilt.

But tonight i will be working on getting these into the freezer. This is the first pull of out corn.  It's looking a lot better this year than it did last year.  we will pull it next week to!

Tommy pulls and i shuck and clean and freeze.

So no sewing tonight.
