Falling Charms Christmas Quilt

Hi friends!
Made my first block of my Falling charms Christmas quilt.
We went to town yesterday but wasn't gone long ,when
 we got home Tommy said , i don't feel good.
He laid around so i worked on cleaning our bedroom . Son in law came by and after he left i got to feeling bad to.
Both of us was laid up!
I usually don't watch much t v but for N.C.I.S
We watched that and then we got to feeling better.
Tommy turned the air on because if you open the window you get a chicken house smell.
We had sleep with the windows open the night before and Tommy thinks that's what caused it, i don't know but  He was sick longer than i was.
He turned the air on because it was 76 in the living room.
But i didn't get a whole lot of sewing done.

I made the other two after 9 o'clock.
I am using these...

I am just making a lap quilt for the living room to snuggle under.
I also cleaned my Mat yesterday.

I got it cleaned right before i got sick so didn't get a picture of it laying on a towel on the freezer.
That's the only flat surface i had to put it on.
I have a twelve inch mat that rotates so i used that last night.
It should be dry today for me to work.
Witch i need to do.

Turkey!

Hi friends!
Got my Thanksgiving Table runner sandwiched.
I need to quilt and bind it before next Tuesday because we are having Tommy's family reunion here.
I want to put it on the table for that.
I used muslin for the backing but had to use a thin poly for battening because i had run off of cotton scraps.

My white Kona came this morning so i am all set for white for a while.

I was glad to see that i was down to a sliver!
Next i am going to make a falling charms Christmas quilt to hang in my sun room.
I will have to get Jenny's video and watch it to find out how.
While moving my sewing room i found a lot of blocks and i am thinking about just putting them all together and making us a quilt out of it!
It should look very strange.......

Shower for Baby

Blanket i crochet for her, he said this was his favorite.

Sunday prayers

Friday finish

Hi friends!
It took it out side when the sun was shining but it was gone by the time i got it hung up. And hour later it came out but it was to late ,it was in the washer.

At least it's finished because her shower is tomorrow.
We are moving my sewing room into the front bedroom , shoved all the furniture against the wall and put my table in the middle. Maybe some day we will get the living room finished and i can move thing out it it will just be my sewing room instead of a closet to.
But at least i want have to put every thing up every time we have a big family dinner. It always takes me weeks to find every thing afterward so that will be better.

Tommy and I dug out his Grandmothers table that she gave him before she died.It had squirrel beds all over it. It was way back in the barn.

It is so old that it has square nails  in it

See!!
It also has a place where the oil lamp turned over and burned a hole in it.

Tommy will never part with this because his grandmother gave it to him.
We sprayed it good and then he cleaned it up and we moved it into the house.

I have a lot of work to do in there before it looks like a sewing room.

Mysterious Box

Hi friends!
Have you ever gotten fabric like this?

I believe the fabric i ordered for my turkey table runner was this.

Because there is nearly two yards there. Dawn and Collette , do you need some?
The thing is when i order from Fabric.com if you order over 35 dollars worth the shipping is free.So i order more!!!

I am sure i can use this else where since i love Christmas and have grands and great grands.

I ordered this for the bottom of a changing mat but am not sure if it will work.

I think this is more than i ordered to.
It came in this!

They left a pick up ticket in the mailbox and i couldn't figure out why because i had only ordered fabric..
You never know what you are going to get it in!

Binding

Hi friends!
I finished the quilting !

My sewing companion!
I am now sewing the the binding down.. Should be not problem finishing by the weekend.
Today i want to make a i hour basket in baby fabric.
We will see if i can find some good fabric.
Short today because Sis is here so i will spend time with her,

Shania's Quilt

Hi friends!
Quilting Shania's quilt.

We went yesterday to eat our steak for our anniversary , we had missed his birthday [7/31] and our anniversary [8/9] due to test and his surgery [8/5] so we went and took care of that yesterday.
Tommy had the t-bone!

We went to longhorn, that's where we went last year and said we would go back. The steaks were not as good as last years!

Must have been a different cook!

I got the Flo's steak.
I can't eat a big t-bone like they serve in restaurants. Their are not many that serve t-bones any more. None that i know of in our small town. They serve steak but not t-bones..
Tommy loves t-bones.
We had a good time and the sun was shining!

Shania's Quilt

Hi friends!
I got her sandwiched!!!

This is what i found for the backingafter i dumped everything into a big box and started redoing my book shelf.
Here is what it looked like.

I had started to put some back on the shelf here.
Just look at that mess in the box!

Looking somewhat better!
I got scraps out as i was stacking and cut them up for my Good Night Irene quilt.
I just redid the botton shelf and the top of the table .
I have a lot of fabric that i hadn't seen in so long i had forgot i had it.
Most of the two higher shelves are fat quarters.I will get to them later.
I hope!
Now to get it quilted before this weekend when the shower is.

Sunday Prayers

Flimsy!

Hi friends!
I worked on making the letters fit with the rest and then i sewed them down.

I think this will do !

Upside down !

I have a flimsy!    Should get it put into a sandwich this weekend ,...if i can find a big enough piece for the backing.
I would like to find in my jungle of a statch something that will be good for baby.
I trimed it up yesterday so it's ready !
I will look this weekend to see what i can find.

That's a good bit for just one month.
But the Dr's visits have gone down and things have been better for us.

Shania's quilt

Hi friends!
I see right now i am going to have to take the a back off and redo it.
But i did get some sewed down yesterday.

And i added the rest of the rows onto it.
I think i will bind it with a darker pink since i don't have any of this color pink left!

That's a little better!
Half way there and then i will sandwich it. I ordered the fabric to do a changing pad yesterday after not being able to find any at Walmart. They may have had some but there was no one back there and i didn't feel   like looking all over the store for some one!
That is a big problem at Walmart , they never have the spots they need to cover, covered.

These are going to have to be cut down to the size the a is.
