Allie's Quilt

Hi friends!
I worked on this yesterday! I decided to stay off face-book and see if it helped me get more work done but last night I was so tired I quit at supper time and just rested.
Did get all the sides made.

Lots of pieces!
Today I will figure out the  end sides and go from there.
Snow is just about gone so maybe we will get out of freezing today. They said we would but it's not there yet.
Saying sixty's but the week end. Can't wait.

Allies Quilt

Hi Friends!
This was how our yard looked at 6 last night.

This is how it looked this morning. It went down to 11 last night wind chill about zero.Makes me cold just looking at it!.
We stayed at home yesterday and I sewed.

I fixed that corner!
Then I played around with ideas for the off center.

This is what I came up with.
I think this may work, just add enough so that I get the right sized quilt. She wanted a full size.
I will do the sides today.
Cold here so it's a stay in day.

Making Blocks

Hi friends!
Yesterday I laid out every thing to see how many blocks I need.
Started making them.
Yesterday I got a comment saying she though one point was off! Have lost the email but want to thank her because where it's so light one is backward. Nice having friends that let you know before you get it quilted. Its so light right there that it doesn't show up good.
Thankfully I have done nothing to that so it's a easy fix.

You can see I need to make about five blocks! I think I got four made yesterday.
We are waiting for the snow to start , it's already snowing in Chattanooga so it shouldn't be much longer.
Tommy checked old tractor's yesterday and pulled a muscle in his back so he went to see Dr. Jeff early. Plenty of anti-freeze in both!
Wind chill tonight is suppose to be below zero.

Allie's Quilt

Hi friends!
Had fun Sat. cutting and placing pieces on the quilt wall.
After cutting them all I sewed them all together.

That big sewed together  thing did not want to stay up there!

But that part is done. I added all the blocks to see where else I needed to make  to go with it.

Defiantly need some more blocks!

Made two but then it was supper time so I stopped for the day.

Sunday Prayers

Allie's and Kristian's quilt

Hi friends!
These are the blocks I have made so far on Allie's Quilt.
Was suppose to go to Q-Bees but chickened out ! So much flu going around right now. With Tommy having COPD I was afraid I would bring it in on him.
I ordered Navy For Kristian's  quilt and it came today.

She want her's to be a lap quilt with Berry College colors and it to be close to the one her boyfriend has.

I still have to find the light grey. She is getting me a t-shirt with the Berry logo to go in the middle.

I ordered my years supply of piecing thread . I get these from Connecting Threads and they had then on sale when I ordered. Three for the price of two!
Seriously they do last me about a year and I make a lot of quilts.  Not on sale they are 9.99.
Hope to get lots done this weekend.

Allie's Quilt

Hi friends!
I made four more blocks for Allie's Quilt and started on the center star.

That bottom one as I started to hang it up I noticed it was skipping so just quit.
Way to tired to work on my machine!
Yesterday was Dr. day, I had a apt. in the morning and Tommy in the after noon so we picked up some groceries  and gas while we were in town.
Another blood pressure med. to try to see if it works.
When we got home I worked on this:

I had mentally done the math to get it just the right size, I hope!
Last night before tread-mill I make a Apple cake to take to Q-Bees tonight
So tomorrow a report on our fun night!
I think we laugh more than any thing else.
Love my meeting with them.

Jarrod's Quilt Top!

Hi Friends!
I did manage to get that top put together.
After lots of Jack the Ripper time! That next to the last row was not in sink with the other stars.

That last row is added!

The top border!
I am planing to bind with the same dark blue so it it will be a small border on the sides.
It's over the standard size for a long twin. Start working more on Allison's quilt tomorrow.

Jarrod's quilt

Hi friends!
I managed to work on Jarrod's quilt a little yesterday after putting away all the Christmas things.

The tree is gone for another year.
Tommy said we can't keep doing this! He took the tree apart. I told him when we get to where we can't we will put up a little tree!
We have a couple more in that big closet. Or we could get us a smaller one. Set it on a table in front of a window.
Just now he went to get the mail and came in and took the wreath off the front door.
So it's all put up except for one table runner and a large cushion.
I need to make another table runner to replace that one and then it will go to..

I just put it up like this last night so I could cook supper.
Going to work on it some more today.       Finish that row and add a small border.

Jarrod's and Allison's quilt

Hi Friends!
I started sewing this together Sat.

I worked on it most of the afternoon and got this far.

A couple of more rows should do it.

Took my tree down in the sewing room.
So much brighter in their now.

I made two blocks on Allison's quilt. These will be kind of a border all around the center .
Need to finish both of these this month!!!!
Today I am taking down the big tree and washing ,plus a little sewing.

Jarrod's quilt and more Christmas

Hi Friends!
I made three more , slightly smaller than the first.
Another ornie I bought this year is this:

It reminded me of our dogs that son gave us 12 years ago.

This is the cup my sister got me for Christmas, she knows me well!

I told you yesterday I would lay these out and I did. Mostly now I just need to move some of them around so I can  sew them together. Made a couple more stars yesterday so I would have enough.
Maybe this weekend I will get them sewed together.

Quilt and Ornament

Hi Frtiends!
Don't forget the GIVEAWAY I will pull a winner tomorrow.
This is the one ornament that I made after Christmas!
Never did find the time before Christmas.
I looked yesterday and found another sheet of white felt so I may make another.

I made a few more stars yesterday.

Mostly I made tri-angles and cut fabric.

I have been slowly putting things back in totes!
This one I bought years ago when the grands were little. He did have tiny toilet paper but little fingers did away with that many years ago.
Very Country!
I will save the tree for last because i keep hoping Alex and Kim will bring the babies over.
