September finish's

Hi friends!
Cloudy day!
My finishes for this month are very low, with every thing else going on in our life's.

Of course Tuckers quilt and Halloween mat.

This one i forgot about for September so i can claim it this month!

This is my last thing i did this month!
Not as much as i usually do but we had a busy month so not as much sewing.

Halloween Mat

Hi friends!
Beautiful cold day!
My Halloween mat!
Love this fabric!  When i made it yesterday i took pictures of every step but in trying to get rid of blurry pictures I lost them all!!!
Last year before Christmas we had my kids for Christmas and later we just sitting we were so tired when they brought the babies over, and i took pictures of them and one of them was playing with my camera and all my pictures i had made that day vanished.  The buttons are so easy even a child can use them!

It's sitting by the door just waiting for a great grand, Hopefully some will come. We don't get much since they started the Halloween walk in town.

The back is Muslim and lightly quilted.   With black binding.
This is the first Halloween mat i have made and that was because of that great fabric.

See how the flash makes it look like a candle was lit inside of the pumpkins. I think sis gave me this fabric.

Sewing Machine Pad

Hi friends!
Cloudy day!
I had been wanting to make me a sewing machine pad for a while now.
This took 1/2 yard of that blue
a fat quarter of the Burgundy  , it shows red here but that's my camera. and some scrap pieces of battening.
I used a left over scrap of baby blue for the binding.

I used the sew to the back and pull over way of binding and it didn't work to well for me.
But i just need more practice.
 If I had had done this for someone  else i would have done it over or done it the other way.   But for me to use i just left it like that!

Now my things are right there when i need them.

This is more true to color than the first ones were.
I just loosely quilted the part over the pockets and sewed seams to separate the pockets

Harbor Freight

Hi friends!
Yesterday we went to Rome to see our Dermatolgist!
The colors are getting good going over the mountain.

Here and there the colors were bright!

Sandie does this look familiar to you? Coming from the other direction.
It's the entrance to Berry college.
One of our grands goes to school there.

They are building all over the place!

Their were two sites where they were building that you could see from the road.

After seeing the Dr. we went to Harbor Freight and i got me some more clamps to hold my quilt's down.

All of these things just jumped into Tommys arms!
He loves that store, things are cheaper but it all mounts up.
These few things was 50 dollars
That's why we don't go their often!!!
Things just jump into his hands.

How do you like my roots?

Haven't sewed that little limb down because i am not happy with it. I think it's just to small, Of course i might be happy with it if i added a few leaves.
I will have to think on that a while.

I like this one!

Sunday

Our house!

Hi friends!
Beautiful weather!
We have some yellows showing!

But most are like this!  Dull brown leaves!

I pulled all my flowers back under the porch , though we might have frost the other night.

They are still doing good!

The orka is still baring but i have no where to put it.  It's getting to look pretty bad.

I loved this picture of the hay field yellow-brown and green and red trees behind it.

Mostly green, when we get some frost every thing will turn at once.

Friday Finish!!

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
I finished Tucker's quilt except for sewing over the hem so it will hold up to a 3 year old.

He loves motorcycles so the middle is motorcycles!
Then the cowboy fabric i bought for him and then 'i spy' to keep him entertained.
It's a large twin,  He is my great grand on my side of the family.  Just one out of 12 with one on the way.
Just like 3 grand kids and i will have made just about all of them a quilt, should get through this year Quess i could start over.
Got our flu shot today and voted, love this early voting.
And stopped by Dianne's and got me some golden delicious apples.
Straight from Elijay, the apple city of Georgia.
They are delicious just like their name implies, just ate one!

Our Family Reunion

Hi friends!
Beautiful chilly day!
This was after lunch when they went through pictures that was here when we moved in 14 years ago.
Tommy's Mother's and grandmother and maybe great grand mother pictures. You know years ago people didn't get many pictures in their whole lifetime.

More and more got around the table.

This is all of us. the older folks.
Eddie , cousin from Texas, Roxie and hubby from Blue Ridge, Ga. Tommy's sister Beulah and Hubby Roger from the mountain and me and Tommy

  Th Kids and  grands!
We didn't have many but we had a great day!
I really enjoy having them every year and pray that we will be doing it 20 years from now.
As you can see i still have sewing things all over the dining room but the table was clear so that we could eat..

Tucker's Quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
Worked on this yesterday trying to fix the hem.  I figured out what was wrong.
But put it with they rest of my sewing room things that i will put up this evening .
Cleaning for company and that means getting my machine and all that stuff off our dining room table.
Just hope i don't lose stuff this time , putting most of my projects in boxes should help.
I need to buy a few more boxes because it's a stretch to get them all in boxes.  working on to many things at one time.
After tomorrow i will get this finished and start on D.J.'s and Brads quilt.
I worked on it but i need to get it back to it.

Mark's and Wayne's Pillows

Hi friends!
Cold!
Yesterday i started on pillows for Mark and Wayne a pillow sham.
Wayne has already had his birthday and hopefully i will see them before the end of the month to give them to them.
 I need to make 3 more next month. Then in Janurary i will make Addies lou's and will have to think of something to make them all for  next years birthday.  I started in Janurary this year.
Any suggestions would be a lot of help, thanks

This one has the Falcons and doesn't show up very good and neither one of them may want it because the Falcons are lousy this year.
Got some cleaning to do today, company comes Wednesday.

My Christmas Quilt

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
For all my friends that don't follow on 'asimplygreat' i though i would show you what i am working on for that blog.
This is going to be my quilt , maybe for the quest bedroom.

It's called 'Attic Windows'.
 I think i have 20 blocks made so far. 
Taking Cipro and not doing much right now because it makes me feel like crap!

That black just sets it off, going to be a beautiful quilt when i get done with it and i haven't used a bit of white.  May be the first quilt that i haven't used white on.
Maybe today i can get something done!

Tucker's quilt ands Christmas fabric.

Hi friends!
Beautiful day!
I am hemming Tucker's quilt.
Next month. is my birthday month so i will be having another giveaway.
I got myself a early birthday present!

25 fat quarters of Christmas fabric.
Every one is beautiful! I have already cut into that red on the top.
When we went to the quilt show i joined the AQS and you get a percentage off when we buy fabric from them.
I got a e-mail from them saying every thing 10% off and with my membership i got these fat quarters with 20% off . I couldn't resist!
Tommy can relax now he has already bought my birthday present.

They came in a stack of them just folded over and stick in the mailer.  Well they were inside a plastic bag but they weren't done up all pretty .  They are all the best that i could have hoped for.
Every one so pretty, not a one of any thing that you couldn't have guessed that it was Christmas fabric.
Lots of Santa's and Christmas tree's.
I don't like Christmas fabric that could be any thing but Christmas.

A Christmas apron!

Little holly leafs and berry's
Its trimmed in blue but it's the same design.
I also made me a mugrug as practice for some i am giving as gifts.

My little finished mugrug!  I have been using him on my desk.
