One Day's Sewing

 Hi friends!

This down in our pasture! What used to be pasture!

One finished baby boy quilt top!

Just right backing for the quilt!

Sandwiched and pinned!

And ironed! That's as far as I got yesterday. Hopefully I will get it quilted today and binding at least made!

The baby is due soon and I want to get this to her.

 Hi Friends!

They were handing out old Mother's day flowers today at the grocery store for free!

That was so sweet!

My latest Diamond Painting!

I did get a little sewing done yesterday.

Started a new baby quilt for our soon to be 17th great grand.

The white is a heavy weight fabric! Heaver than just normal cotton. Almost like denim..

Should hold up well for a boy.

Sewing and Weekend

 Hi friends!

Did a bit of sewing over the weekend. Had cut them out earlier. And some time last week I added battening and sewed that down. So just finished them up. Think I have enough cut to make 2 more.

Minick and Simpson had a sale of a pound of scraps so I order one. A pound is heavier that I thought!

Scraps of fabric I don't have !Very pleased with it! Not that I needed any more fabric!

Kim and Richard went to Church with us yesterday and came over and sat with us for a while. Had missed seeing our red haired girl.

Hubby spent all day until 8 Friday night working on his tractor, so it was Saturday morning before he got the part we had to order on  the air conditioner but we now have air in both ends of the house!

His Tractor

 Hi friends!

Hubby is going to change all the tractor's fluids!

May take him all day! The part to fix the air is suppose to come some time today and he has to work on that!

Good to have a man on the place!

But as long as the temp goes low at night , nothing grows much!

He loves to work on his things with wheels!

New Stove

Hi Friends!

My mother's day flowers!

My new stove! 

Delivered at 10 o'clock, Hubby is still trying to get it level!

You have to be a genius to get these to run! 

Oven want run until you set the time on the clock! It's now 1:15  . Hubby is trying to get it level!

The last one we bought would go off every few minutes and then come back on and that drove us nuts! Sometimes I think that idiot that dreams these things up should be shot!

Quilt Club Meeting

 Hi friends!

First Quilt meeting in over a year!

It was like seeing family!

Bonnie is always working on quilts! By hand! She will be 92 this year! Happy birthday Bonnie , used to work with her many moons ago.

Bonnie made this for her niece, Susan. The lady in the pink!

Susan has been sewing scraps together.

Margert , who turns 95 today, brought a embroider quilt top.

Isn't that beautiful?

 Hi friends!

I am making baby quilts! This is the first! Worked on it Saturday.

Went with Hubby to get gas to cut the grass, glad I took my kindle because it was a long wait! He has gone back to try to get some for his tractor so he can keep the grass cut!

He may have trouble keeping it cut this summer! We had filled up the car last week before all the madness started.

The lines are awful!

We already have reports of gouging!

Trying to finish a quilt

Hi friends!

This top was made last year or the year before!

So I decided to sandwich it and get it finished.

I made backing for it but one side wasn't long enough ant the other way was to short, so I cut the long off to get it ready to add to the to short side.

Now it's ready to be sewed! Going to work on that apron today first! Wish me luck!

Look what came the other day!

I have already wore it and washed it!

Yesterday We had storms that wiped out my internet, phone, and T.V. all day.

We have been blessed to not be hit bad!

We have had several killed buy storms in the South.

Haven't done much sewing lately! Reading on these rainy days.
