Making rows

Hi friends!
Tuesday i made a lot of these things and then squared them up, way to much time bending over!

I finished my green and then did the blue.   well last night i couldn't stay away from them so i added the blue after sewing them together. Then i added the green.

Three are four more rows should be long enough.  I already have the width with a double block hanging over each side.

 Both sides hang over really good.

My daughter's quilt may not be exactly like others , a one of a kind!! I always like bigger blocks when making things Have a good one

Strip Quilt

Hi friends!
Back to the string Quilt.

Four more done, but i think i need to make a few more.  Going to make it just blocks no border.

I will need quit a few more to do that.  I still don't know what i am going to use for joining these blocks together., what color that is!
I will need five for the side and 4 more for the top.  That should do it but i will decide when i get them joined. Started the next row in my daughter's quilt.

I've got the green blocks done but not joined going to put the navy between the green and red.
I cut so much yesterday that my back was complaining loudly last night so will take it a little easier today.
We went for blood work this morning and i came home with antibiotics. Just though my allergy meds. had quit on me but he said I needed them, I know i have felt rough for weeks . This year the pollen is just awful. Have a good one

Daughter's quilt and fabric for Bentleys and Company

Hi friends!
I worked a while on my daughters quilt yesterday, got one row done and started on my second.

I think i might have to put another color next, it looks to much like Christmas like this!  But i did a few more any way.

It's going good so far.

Got this yesterday!

It's fabric for Bentley's big boy quilt.  I have been turning over ideas and color combo's for how i want his quilt to look. I got the the big tractors with a small idea in mind but will have to see how it goes, Maybe i could dream it!!! Lol

Got some new blades for my cutter , Jo Ann's had them on sale last week.  5 for half price, i use so many of those.

We hadn't seen them in a year at least so we gave them their Christmas. Katie has had her tonsils removed a week ago so she wasn't feeling good, but Luke just took a minute to figure out who we were.

New Pillow

Hi friends!
I was half awake Sat. morning and was thinking "pillow" when this fat quarter popped into my mind..

I don't know how any one else does it but i make a quilt for the front of my pillow and quilt it.  Sometimes i do it for the back to but that makes it hard to get the corners out .  This one i just did the front added another fat quarter and sewed all around leaving a small hole to turn it. 

Dropped it on the couch for some hand sewing and when i finished  it I throwed it on my couch, replacing the snowman ones i made last year for Christmas.

I need to make another but i will have to buy some stuffing.

All because of a half awake dream!

Sunday Prayers

Daughter's quilt and scraps

Hi friends!
I am still working on red. I will lay them out some time this week end and see how many it will take, i don't use patterns .
I will make enough for two rows on her quilt.
Yesterday i spent most of the day cutting up scraps, i need to spend weeks at it because these were on my book case not in my totes, and i still have a lot of totes!

I took this little better tub from this to this!

Not much to show for all the work! I am hoping Alisha comes down to spend the night and i cut these for her to learn to make a quilt.. She is suppose to come tonight !

Starting Daughter's quilt

Hi friends!
I started her quilt yesterday , since I love red I started with it. This is a beautiful wine color. I bought it on Craftsy. There is a button on my side line that will takes you right to them. Their solids are the best i have found. The first block wasn't the best i have ever done but the second one looks really good.
 I have red, black, yellow, blue and green to go with white, all  from Craftsy.
I have some pink to go it it to if i decide it needs it.
One thing about it I should be a expert at tri-angles when I get finished with it.

I have also been working on a blanket for our baby that will be here in July.  Still have plenty of time to finish it.

All of these are ready, i put velcro on them last weekend.

She wants me to wait to do her quilt after she is born so i am giving her a quilt that was in my esty shop a few  years ago.

with a Dora blanket.

Strip Quilt [Quilt as you go]

Hi friends!
I made two more blocks yesterday.

My quilt wall!

I have 5 more of those blocks made for the next couple of rows, not really sure how many more i will make  or how big  it will be.

Isn't that red and white block interesting? Would make a great quilt just lined up that way. That's a modified nine patch with less red in it.

Going to have to dig out my strip bags to make any more of those strip blocks, i have used all my easy ones but need to use them all up,   HaHa not going to happen! I have made a lot of scrap quilts and have only emptied one tote.

By easy i mean the strips i had that was long enough to make three blocks .

My blocks are 14 inches each.  I wish they made a larger square ruler , big enough to measure 14 or 16 inches. I would buy it because a lot of my blocks are that size. 

I ordered some muslin from Hancock this morning so you can still order from them.

See how much i saved Monday at Hancocks   131.96 that's a lot of course i spent my birthday money plus 9 dollars for all that stuff i showed you yesterday.

Hi friends!
This is what i made yesterday with the new fabric that i bought.

One of the new fabric's i got a Hancock's yesterday.

I bought over 12 yards of fabric, A ott light , more velco , thread and three rolls of  batten's for the next three quilts.

And these!

Plus we went to Harbor Freight and i got this , don't know yet if i can use it in my sewing room but if i can't Tommy will have it for his shop, if he ever gets one.

Wish i had the money to go back today but right now it's 60 % off fabric. It will get lower but their may not be much left by the time it gets to 90%

They said that all the stores are closing not just the little ones. That's the closest fabric shop we have. It will be missed.

Quilt As You Go

Hi friends!
 Still making strip blocks.

The ones i have made I have been quilting on my featherweight.

I put together twelve of these just when i had a free moment.

Started trimming them this last weekend.
This is Quilt as you go doing one block at a time. I try to do one every few months !
Any one can make a quilt with out a big quilting machine.
Just a old machine that runs!

March Finish's

Hi Friends!
I finished this last week!
My Easter table runner

Alisha's quilt that i finished the  next to last week in the month and gave her on Easter.

All i did was sew buttons on this for a finish!

I finished this this month to!

 I made these but haven't added the Velcro!

The only thing i made yesterday was this!

And this!

I cooked a crock pot of pintos and instead of throwing them out i water bathed them so we can eat them later.
