Yesterday

Hi Friends!
I have had these forever but just never use them but they sure beat being stick by a pin!

My tiger lilies are still going strong!
We went this morning and got some home grown tomato's at Cooks.
They are turning so maybe a tomato sandwich tomorrow!

My basket hanging on the back porch, Tommy added a rubber snake because a bird wanted to nest

in it.

He threaded it in there good.

It's the basket Chris and Amy got me for mother's day.
Got my DNA back that they gave me for mother's day to, yesterday and I am 70% British!
How could that be? Called Chris and he wasn't that much but he said after your grandparents you had to pay more to go further
Not going to happen! .

Today

Hi friends!
This is my first cast in my 76 years!
I should have told them I wanted to keep it!
When she took  the stitch's out it started bleeding, meaning it had attached it's self back. It may be a little numb but I could feel her cleaning the dried blood off for the Dr. so he  could see it.
I worried and did a lot of praying because you know how E R's are   Slow!
It took for every for them to put it on ice. I guess it took a specialist!
We got home yesterday after my  Dr apt. and I started a new book ,
after I posted and never got back on the internet.
Not many books hold my attention like that.
I may do a little sewing but no trimming until I can get that finger into my new glove.
Cutting nearly seven years and it finally got me!

Bandage!

Hi friends!
Big improvement!

Was glad to get rid if that cast!
When she took out the stitch's my part i cut off started bleeding! A great sign that it is attached.
Dr. was very pleased!
But Tommy has to wash dishes and mop for another few weeks. Nothing but clear water can touch it.
Just thankful It worked because he didn't think it would.

Falling trees

Hi friends!
We had a pretty good storm yesterday!
After not getting rain for a few days, just not enough for the garden to get dry, It poured and I was sitting in a chair near the window closest to all those branch's.
One day that hugh tree is coming down to!
Tommy keeps thinking about having it took down but it cost so much to do that and then your power bill goes up!

It's not even rotten! Another one in the edge of the woods fell, just not close to the house
Most of those trees last over a hundred years and this one is 80 something.
Yesterday Tommy had a Dr apt and I forgot to post a comment so I would get the emails. I have read them and will be sure to fix it today.
Hope to get goods news! If I do will post again today!

Hi friends!
Got me a cutting glove so hopefully it want happen again!!!!
Can't get this cast in there but maybe soon..

When we moved over here and Tommy started mowing the bank I moved as many of these tiger lily's as I could.
The bank was covered.

Put them all around the pump house. Them planted some Iris's and they have pushed them a side.
We got a little shower yesterday, just the edge! These showers are dumping 2 inch's at a time so was glad to get just a little.

Wouldn't get anther shot like this in a million years.

Around Here

Hi friends!
This is the star I was working on when I cut my finger. Told Tommy I could finish it because I can't cut my finger now!

Tommy fixing the tin roof of our barn, a storm bent it backwards. This was back a few weeks ago. The ladder just wouldn't work! He does love his tractor! It is a great help, another pair of hands sometimes.

Yellow Finch's on their feeder. I feed them and hummingbirds!
Tried feeding bigger birds but they want to eat up your garden. Tommy defiantly doesn't like that!

My Track

Hi friends!
Tommy keeps my walking trail cut and last night he tided my shoes so that I could walk while he cut. Dr. said I could walk and read.

The wild roses are just about gone.

Our dogs were glad to see me but don't know what to make of my hand.
We have laws here that you keep them in a pin or on  a leach but ours got to big for us to hold back years ago and they head straight for the road when we let them out. In my childhood dogs roamed free and we didn't have a race track for a road. So many of our dogs have been run over here.
People come down our road as fast as they can! We also have a herd of deer and one day the two will meet, just a matter of time.
 Just waiting for the o k from the Dr., go back next Tuesday.

Hi friends!
See I didn't take any bone off! Just the side of the top!

Before my shower Tommy wraps it good in trash bag. One thing you can't do is fasten your bra.
That' s when husbands come in handy!

He made sure I couldn't sew! Don't like that DR.
Lost a niece this morning , didn't even know she was sick.!
Hadn't heard from her sis in a while. Bad when family younger than you pass on. But I am sure to see her again one day.

What not to do!

Hi friends!
No sewing for me for a while! Was trimming a small star for Anna's quilt and took off some finger.
Took six stitch's! I think maybe it needed more.

My finger was swollen because they put a tourniquet on it to stop the bleeding.

See! Kind of Gorey!
Told you  it needs more stitch's!
If this doesn't "take" I will need a skin graft.
So prayers please, Don't like going to Dr's.
Sewing will resume as soon as I get a "glove" and the bandage is smaller.

Michael and Ashley's Quilt

Hi friends!
Since I have my daughter's quilt in the quilting stage I have started my next ! Starting two as a matter of fact, my grand daughter's Anna's Quilt and Michael and Ashley's .

Cutting three different fabric's for Michael and Ashley's because they want a chevron quilt. So does my next granddaughter Jessica so I will be making these for a while.
Anna's is mostly black with some small star's. Will post on her's later.

A big stack of tri-angles! But just enough to start it.

It takes a few to go across a queen sized bed.

Love making these, guess that's a good thing!

That might be enough for one row.
You see I played all weekend.

Sunday Prayers

Fabric

Hi friends!
Finally got my order from Missouri star , the flip-flop's are for Tonia's beach quilt. The green is for Michael and Ashley's quilt.
The three fat quarters were free!
Didn't know I was getting them!
But I needed a red, white and blue fat quarter for July for Q-Bee's and have one now.

I made the big stars for Anna's quilt a while ago, made that friendship star last night to go with them.
She wanted a mostly black with a few stars sprinkled around on it so I though the friendship stars would be good for very small stars. Made from 2 inch squares! May make them a little smaller.
Want take long for me to make a few and then add the black to make a queen sized top!
Then I would have another top to quilt.
I sandwiched My daughter's today.

May get a start on quilting it this weekend.
Working on another one right now and need to finish quilting it first.

Hi friends!
These are my finish's for May.  Kristian's berry college quilt.
Gave it to her after her graduating May 5th.

A baby girl quilt for our neighbor.

Just finished that one this week. My "free" quilt. Scrap backing, scrap battening and scrap strips from other quilts.
Put it one the bed last night and Tommy woke me up saying he was cold so I guess our winter quilt goes back on the bed. The air is too cold and he  a fan blowing on his side of the bed . But he has to have it, C O P D.
I just put a blanket over my side. Then he makes fun of me! I can  give it back to him now!! Haha

Winner!

Hi friends!
I used my highly specialist drawing system to pick a name from all the comments from my wish upon a star post last week.
He picked Dawn from "sewuquilt2" and since I already have her address I will just get that in the mail.
I was really worried about how the winner was going to get in touch with me but higher power fixed that for me.
Wish we could get him to work on our blogger problem.

Finished this top with just a small gold band all around and will bind with red. Need to get it sandwiched and start on the pillow shams. My daughter's birthday is the 8th but she will be in Fla. so I have a extra couple of days to finish.

Weekend

Hi friends!
That's our smart handsome grandson, third from the right on the very last row! He got complete scholarships to college . all sorts of awards. He was 9th in a list of 26 that were the top of a class of over three hundred.  Already started college and is working. So proud of all my grands!
This high school is a really good school, over a hundred on honor roll!

Worked on this but spent so much time ripping it out that I just decided to let it be!
Not going to line up perfectly even though I cut each one with my 12 1/2 inch ruler.

I have used scrap backing , scrap strips and scrap battening so a free quilt!
This mess with our comments ! Blows my mind how they can mess up things ! Hopefully blogger is working on the problem and will let us know something!
If we can't get our comments lots will just quit blogging. Then it will hit them in their pocketbook.
Just pray they find something fast! My blog doesn't have reply with the comments and want put them into my spam. So I will check back later and if I have your email  in my email list I will answer.

Two more strips

Hi friends!
Another nearly strip!
I quit about supper time , did some cleaning and read. Needed a brake.

Managed to finish both of the other strips before I quit.
Now just to make the joining strips. Hopefully I will have them joined by Monday.

Tommy got the rest of this four acre yard done. Just praying no rain tonight, grandson Wayne graduates High School at 8. If they have to move it inside , want have enough seats so We will stay home and let his close family go.
Tommy has cut me a walking trail and he keeps that cut, I walked last night , one reason I was so tired after supper.
