December Finishes

Hi friends!
My December finishes. My daughters tree skirt.

The quilt for Jess's daughter.

Chris and Amy's quilt.
My daughters rag quilt and a  Blue million  pillow cases! At least!
That's why i am dragging i worked to hard last month!
One day i will count up all the quilts i have made this year and let you know what the number is , right now it has made me tired just doing this.
Going to get some turnip greens to go with my black eyed peas for new Years day.
We keep hoping that it means what they say, health and wealth!

Christmas presents!

Hi friends!

I made each of my kids a pair of pillow cases.
These are Missy's , she loves horses.
I made Chris and Amy some to match their quilt.

These are for Kim and Richard , they love Ala. football.
My daughter, I made some Christmas ones.
And Tonia and Bobby and Abby and Ryan got Falcons football ones.
Made all four of Tommy,s a Snowman throw for their Christmas present to . I showed you Chris's quilt and My daughters Throw. a small rag quilt.
I put a Christmas set in my dirty Santa bag that Addie got.
I made my sis-in-law two sets , her son and Shammah a set of star wars one's and her daughter and her hubby  a set of Christmas ones.
I am very tired of making pillow cases.
My kids and one of Tommys got me fabric store cards, can't wait to shop!
They know what i love!
We had a very good Christmas!

Blog anniversary

The quilt i made for my son and his wife for Christmas.

The rag quilt i made for my daughter, my sweet baby holding it.

My grand grabbed it because he loves quilts.
I made them each a set of  pillow case's

Our Artist

Hi friends1
My Artist!
Anna did this drawing for Chris and Amy of a snapshot of Tatum and Addie when they were little.
I have told you before she is living with them and going to school, they had a guest room and she lives with them to be close to her classes.
She is very talented!  She also takes pictures of people.
I am going to have to get me a new camera! My Kodak takes good ones sometimes and then goes crazy. But the flash went off on this!

This was our present from Addie Lou. The baby in the  drawing. She is going on 15
I showed you the sparkly baskets i made her for her birthday. She loved them.

She signed it !
It's beautiful.
She takes after her Daddy , my son, his painting was hung in the capital.
A painting that we never saw again.
Never knew what happened to it.
But we have two very talented girls in our family.
They did not get it from me, must have been from my first husbands side of the family.

Early Christmas

Hi friends!
We had Christmas with my kids yesterday!
I have 3 tables but the overflow goes to the living room. i Have a lot of grands and they were all here!
They are my blessing!
I made Amy my daughter in love, a egg apron for her birthday that's in January so i gave it to her now because we want see her then.

She had seen this somewhere and posted a picture so i told her i though i could make something like the one she saw. I new I had this fabric!

They decorated the "girls" house
My son built the house for them last summer.
They let them out when they are home because they want free range eggs.

I picked this when we played dirty Santa but Angel took it away from me !
Before they left my Angel left it on our bed for me because she knows her grand maw's feet hurt!
Was that not sweet?

Wordless Saturday Finish

Runner!

This may be all i add to this because of time , i need to use it on Sunday for my Dining table.

Another wonderful surprise from the Mailman

Hi friends!
Finally working on my Christmas table runner.
Just like a couple of small presents to make now.

Got them both done last night, i am tr5ying to figure out a good border for it.

I am liking this but i need to look some more while i work on my tree and snowman.
The mailman brought me a wonderful surprise this morning.

My sweet blogging friend Dawn    HERE ' sewuquilt2'   sent me some wonderful things , A wristet and mug rug and a great pattern and fat quarters. Love the little wristet , none of mine have the loop for the wrist. Mine are just plain old zipper pouches!
I have the very best quilting blogging buddy's!

Surprise in the mail

Hi friends!
We finally found a tree topper we both liked. It's a lighted Star! There was another , it had large colored lighted  leaves, but Tommy said it looks to much like that part of town!!!!! I wouldn't know!!!

Yesterday i made Allie a zipper pouch to match her basket.  This isn't a Christmas gift, just a because .She liked this fabric and liked the baskets i have been making.

Look what my sweet friend Julie Rose sent me , she knows i have grands that deer hunt.
It's great to use these panels because it works as a really big block so they make up faster.
I have the sweetest blogging friends.
The week after Christmas is when i started my blog, so i will have a bloganiversary  giveaway.
I do this every year and this will be my 4th.
It's not long !!!

New today

Hi friends!
I recently won this book from Karen at 'karensquilting.  HERE
You know me i love large blocks, Thanks Karen i love that quilt on the front.
This came yesterday, I picked this because i needed a zigzag machine and a lot of quilters had good things to say about it.

I hope it holds up good, i needed a good machine to sew patches on Tommy's work clothes.

I know new machines a plastic junk but none of my older machines had zigzag so i got me this , pray for it please, that it will last me a while.
Not planning on quilting on it although it came with free motion and walking foot.

Shania's present

Hi friends!
Last week i made a baby tag blanket for our soon to be here baby.

It's blue on one side and pink on the other.

I put little ribbons tags all around the edges.

Pinned it together! Sewed all around just leaving a big enough opening to turn it.

Then i topped stitched it all the way around closing the opening.

That is a baby taggie blanket.  I had never made one before so i researched it on the web.
I hope she enjoys it when she gets here , after Christmas.  We can't wait to see her.

Hi friends!
Christmas sewing! Will show after Christmas.

We went outside last night to see how the tree looked!

Do you know what this is?
We went to Harbor Freight yesterday and i found this. It's to use in the bathtub to keep from falling but it works better than the one sold at Jo Anns at holding your large rulers. Cheaper to!!!!
I also got my clamps from there to champ down my quilts but the ones you get at Lowes are better.
Sis got me two of those last year for Christmas and they unlock a whole lot easier.
