Ironing and Playing

 Hi friends

 Did a bit of ironing over the weekend.

My thinking being it would take up less room, haven't done enough to find out for sure!

Have been working on this for a week but you can't tell it! A very colorful diamond painting. It has a Christmas tree, a Christmas window and a Christmas fireplace along with Santa

  About a inch on the bottom is full but that's all, another inch is here and there!

Grand maws!

 Dear friends!

This is one of the aprons that I just mailed off to my baby grand in New York City.

Sparkly and slightly Christmassy!

The second one is Christmassy to. Christmas stars!

She send me a email wanting a apron so of course grand maw has to make her two.  Right? I added a bowl cozy and a oven towel in with it and send them off this morning.

Those envelope's just don't hold enough!

My Grands

 Hi friends!

One of my babies wanted a apron so of course it will get mailed tomorrow. Love my 22 baby grands even thro the youngest has graduated High School!

As hubby says' I have more fabric then Walmart!'

We went to Walmart this morning to pick up a few things and one bottle of pills! 117 dollars worth later we came out! No Fabric! And that  isn't counting the money for my bottle of pills!

Men can really fill up a buggy and not want you to spend any!

Slow But Sure

Hi friends!

Small pieces of scraps are being cut into what ever size square I can get out of it!

Only got three shelves ironed so far, thought I would try to stay ahead of the scraps and cut them as I go. In the back ground are two wheelchair quilts for the nursing home. May not even allow us in to give them out!

Still checking it for unfilled holes!

Tractor Troubles

Hi friends!

Still ironing every chance I get, putting to small pieces on my table to be cut into squares. I have got to do something to get to much into my book cases.

Yesterday we spent all day just about waiting for the wrecker to get here and carry Tommy's tractor in to be fixed.

It was about 3 when this was taken!!!  This was after he spent all day Sat. working on it! They said it might be a fuse.

We got up early so Tommy could get there as they opened at 8 oclock.

Now he is just waiting to see what it will cost to get it back...... running, We have had it about 10 years with no problems.

Other than that all is well  with us! 

Covid 19 is running very high here in our tiny county. So we are going only when we have to and wearing our masks.

Radon Things

 Hi friends!

 Blurry picture but the best I could get from the back porch. Our resident Deer Mom and her twin babies. They were playing and jumping all around her!

I have been ironing fabric , trying to get more in a smaller space.

Added small borders so It would be the right size, the size I wanted it! It's a little long but the Vet might be tall!

Today I plan on doing a little more , It needs ironing and sandwiching! 15 minutes a day works out great!

   The other day Tommy went out to cut and five minutes later he was back , dripping! It had started to rain!  later that day he tried again but the same thing happened! I looked out during the rain and he was under a tree down in the field. He finally gave up! But today he is going to try again! Wish him luck!

Book Review

Hi friends!

This is one of the "Bones" books, you know the t.v. show!

Tempe does a drowning and it turns out he[John Lowery] has been dead since1968. But he was in a grave in Canada.
Then another set of remains are found and it has John Lowery's dog tags?  Ryan joins her in Hawaii to do some investigation into this strange happening. bringing his daughter and Tempe has her daughter with her! Most of the book the girls can't stand each other.

"Spider Bones" by Kathy Reichs. written in 2010

Love all her books and this one doesn't disappoint!

Top Finished

One Veterans Top finished!

Measured  93 by 52 , so I need to add some borders to the sides. Right size is 90 by 60.

Still working on my snowman!

Might Finish this month some time.

Covid is raging here but I was the only one in the store with a mask on!

Veterans Quilt

Hi Friends!

Got some labels because mine were all gone! Got these from "EverEmblen". Great ! You can get sew on or iron on. Proud to add them to my quilts.

Today is Labor Day, we are retired but we worked many years. Back when I was packing diapers and getting kids ready for school before I could go to work seems long ago. Even my grandkids are all out of high school. The youngest last year.

Got this far on my veteran's quilt over the weekend.

Hopefully will get those stars finished and joined and added to the bottom. 

Then my top will be done.

May not be able to hand it to a veteran but if not I will see about getting one to some one that served in the war.

Couldn't go any where last year, now it's worse!

Random Things

Added three more to my pile last night.

That makes 10! Behind that stack is a few bowl cozies.

No long ago I gave my neighbor some after she had a test run at the hospital.

They make great gifts in a case like that.

Batteries got weak on our weather clock yesterday, Looks like winter came early!

Worked some on my Veterans Quilt. The next row will be star blocks to finish it off.

Brough a Smile

Hi friends!

Look what my good friend Dawn  { RelaxingRobin.blogspot}sent me! A cheer-up package!!

 

I still had three towels that I was going to do soon. With all those pot holders Dawn sent I will get some more hand towels soon.

I am looking for some Christmas presents [small gifts} to make for Christmas, some that I haven't already give to every one. If you run across one let me know!

Good Book

Froelich, the chief of security asks Reacher to see if he can kill the Vice President of the USA , just to see if he can do it so she will be in control of the info.  Just for research! But some one is already trying to kill him and Reacher gets in their way. They didn't  plan for Reacher!

They had already shot at him and missed with a silencer but no one noticed  . The  Vice-President just patted down his hair when it went threw his hair!

Froelich worked with his brother Joe before he died and was his girlfriend for a few years.  She is amazed at how much like Joe ,  Reacher is!  She is the one to ask for Reacher's help.

They become involved !

Bullets are hot and heavy is this fast paced Reacher book!

I will defelity buy some more of his.
