New today

Hi friends!
I recently won this book from Karen at 'karensquilting.  HERE
You know me i love large blocks, Thanks Karen i love that quilt on the front.
This came yesterday, I picked this because i needed a zigzag machine and a lot of quilters had good things to say about it.

I hope it holds up good, i needed a good machine to sew patches on Tommy's work clothes.

I know new machines a plastic junk but none of my older machines had zigzag so i got me this , pray for it please, that it will last me a while.
Not planning on quilting on it although it came with free motion and walking foot.

Hi friends!
Last week i made a baby tag blanket for our soon to be here baby.

It's blue on one side and pink on the other.

I put little ribbons tags all around the edges.

Pinned it together! Sewed all around just leaving a big enough opening to turn it.

Then i topped stitched it all the way around closing the opening.

That is a baby taggie blanket.  I had never made one before so i researched it on the web.
I hope she enjoys it when she gets here , after Christmas.  We can't wait to see her.

Christmas sewing! Will show after Christmas.

We went outside last night to see how the tree looked!

Do you know what this is?
We went to Harbor Freight yesterday and i found this. It's to use in the bathtub to keep from falling but it works better than the one sold at Jo Anns at holding your large rulers. Cheaper to!!!!
I also got my clamps from there to champ down my quilts but the ones you get at Lowes are better.
Sis got me two of those last year for Christmas and they unlock a whole lot easier.

Christmas Sewing

Hi friends!
Got that pillow finished!
I though i had lots of stuffing but just had barely enough to do this.

Now i have a pair.

I started back working on my Christmas table runner.
A ribbon tree!  I couldn't find any Christmas Green fabric. My tree is a little off!!!!

I am going to do both , if i can find the other square so i can get them close to the same.
Then i will decorate the snowman and tree.

My big Santa!

My hugh pillow!  It's big enough to sit on, one of the first quilted pillows i made.

This morning with the lights on , it's cold and damp here today with maybe showers.
I wanted to go shopping yesterday but Tommy didn't feel like it , i knew it wouldn't be fit to go today.
He has been dragging around all week with some thing but refuses to go to the Dr.
Oh well there is still time to shop, we just buy for the little g-gs and give money to the older ones.
With mine we are playing dirty Santa!  We did that  last year and had the most fun!
I will put another tree up and decorate some more later this week.
Today i am stuffing this pillow...

I stuffed the other one some time ago!

Our weekend

Daughter came over Sat. and brought Tucker, our sweetie!
Later that day one of our grands that we don't see much came by with his two sons.

This is Eli! Their youngest.

This is Aden!
 We last saw them last in August.
Friday i just could not make my self work on the things i need to work on so i tried a new block.
I just had to try the ribbon block that Colette is doing on her blog     HERE is her blog

Not perfect but i love it!
I have so much to do on my Christmas present list.
Only two weeks until we have Christmas with mine!
Got to get busy are i want get them all done.

Sunday Prayer

Small Friday finish

Hi friends!
I straighten out my tension but for some reason it get's  very loud when i sew fast.. I may need to replace my face plate. I oiled and cleaned it good the other night. so it should be good to go.
I wanted to do some more quilting on the purple before i gave it to her but it was running fairly good last night and did just that . Not finished with it yet.

Brother and s-i-l gave me a gift card for my birthday so i got some more Christmas fabric. The red isn't Christmas fabric but i use a good bit of it so i got two yards of it.

The only Friday finish i have is this!
A small cushion to go on the couch.

I had some quilters cash from Missouri Star quilt co. so i ordered this layer cake, it will make a beautiful spring quilt.
It's bright spring all the way through , you know i love bright colors.
We have a new mail man , he comes by and leaves part of the mail and turns around and brings some more later.
I think it's funny but Hubby doesn't!
He has been doing this for weeks now but hopefully he will improve.
It was in the 30ths here last night but suppose to be 64 later to day, going to have to do some warming up if it gets that warm.
Got to work on my Christmas sewing tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Day

I said i would post pictures of thanksgiving and here are the ones of Hubbys family on Thanksgiving.
My family came on Friday and i will show picture from that day tomorrow.

Baby daughter and her family, her hubby worked on the house.
Oldest daughter wasn't here and only one of her kids were here.

That was Brad and his family , you know Clair and Lola.
I think Hubby's daughters are the only people i know that takes more pictures then i do!
Hubby said we had 16 that day , but he counted 26 on Friday.
More about that tomorrow.

Nov. finishes

Hi friends!
My Nov. finishes!
Just one quilt  and a few baskets. It's pouring rain so not a very good picture.

This is for Allison, she hasn't come by to get it yet.
She picked out the fabric.
I made one with Atlanta Falcons fabric for Michael but didn't get a picture.

These two were  for Tatum! I gave them to her when we had Thanksgiving.
I though i had finished the other quilt but the last x the tension   messed up on my big brother . I took the seam out and replaced it but it still did it.
What is so odd is when you just sew it's fine. just happen when i free motion.
I changed the needle and thought it was fixed but no it still did it.
So i guess that will be  a Dec. finish if i can get my brother to quilt it right.

This and That

Hi friends!
Most of mine and my brother's grand kids!
The three on the left are my brothers.  Three of mine weren't here that day.

I set it up yesterday and my hot glue gun got hot and then died!
So i guess i will be getting another one.
I used to have a small one but looked for it and couldn't find it .
I must have got rid of it when i was cleaning out my craft  cabinet.
I guess it will be the weekend before i get my  wreaths up. Don't know when i will get my Christmas tree up, not feeling 100% yet.
