Happy Thanksgiving

Hi friends!

Started out on the hard end!

Finished quilting it yesterday.

Remember this Dawn, I am using it this year on my table.

This afternoon I am cleaning , tomorrow is cooking and cleaning.

So I want blog again until Monday.

First Thanksgiving this year

Hi friends!

I finished the pillow shams and binding the quilt and yesterday we went to my daughters for a early thanksgiving dinner and I carried it to Anna, she has to work when we have my family's dinner on Friday.

She loved it! That's my beautiful Anna.

Her pillow shams finished.

Finished quilt before I washed it.  It was dark when I finished.

My grands and their boyfriends.

My Jessie , her husband Richard and Tommy.

Got to see some of my grands that have to work on Friday but some were at work.

Working

Hi friends!

Yesterday after my trim I got a good amount of work done.

Did two of these for Anna's pillow shams.  Just like adding a backing to them.

It was a hot chocolate kind of day!

The wind was blowing and in the 30's.

I finished the quilting on Anna's quilt and started the last wheelchair quilt. Got about half way with it and run out of full bobbins again.

I like to start in the middle and quilt to the edge then quilt all the way to the corner, do a complete turn and do the same thing .  So now I have two more forth's to quilt.

Should be able to finish this today.

This one is a little larger than normal but going to write Tommy's cousin's name on it and make sure she gets it.

Two Quilts

Hi friends!

Before I went to the dentist yesterday I starched and Ironed this.

Run out three bobbins on this: Dense quilting sure does eat up the bobbins, I know I have used seven or eight and no where near finished.

My apt. wasn't till three .

After-ward I read until bedtime.

Hair cut today  then maybe some quilting time.

Feeling great today. Tommy felt sorry for me and did the dish's last night.

Sandwiched!

Hi friends!

We were gone so much yesterday that I only got to one thing on my list!

But it's done now!  I sandwiched Abby's quilt.

It will look lots better after I starch and iron it.  Then I will start quilting.

This is what I use for my coffee in the mornings.

I had never turned it over until this morning.

Isn't that a cute spool?

Dawn  HERE  sent me this last year and I just now noticed that.
My wheelchair quilt is sitting on the ironing board waiting for me to iron it but their is no hurry because I can't quilt it until I finish Anna's quilt.
I am quilting hearts all over it. I did get some thread yesterday so Hopefully before I go to the dentist?
Rainy and cool here and has been to many days .
I might get depressed if not for my quilting and reading.

Today

Hi friends!

Quilted yesterday until the thread run out.

I have looked and looked for my black thread, today I am buying some and I will find it then!

Isn't that the way it happens?

Sandwiched this yesterday, my last wheelchair quilt.

This is number eight. Not delivering them until Dec. 11th.

Still making these when I have a few minutes .   I hope to sandwich Abby's quilt today!

We will see !

I have a little over one third of Anna's Quilt quilted, so plan on working on that to.

But we all need to sew so I am still working on pillow shams .

Michael and Ashleys Quilt

Hi friends!

No outside picture today because it's pouring down rain.

Now to finish the pillow shams.

Started quilting Anna's Quilt yesterday. Search and searched for my black thread but this was all I could find.

I know I have a bigger spool than that if  I can just find it.  Think I have two black spools! Where they are I don't know!

I have looked in all my tins where I keep thread.

Any way I got a start quilting Anna's quilt with this tiny spool. 

Was looking in my closet yesterday and found this:

Hadn't seen it in a few years , so I have a new Christmas shirt. Then I found another! Guess that means I need to clean out my closet!

We all know I had rather  sew!

Q-Bee's Quilt of Valor

Hi friends!

This morning our quilt group ,Q-Bees gave my brother-in-law his quilt of valor. His name was picked from a long list of names of men and women from the Menlo area that served in our armed forces.

The whole school did a program honoring our vets. I did a video of the whole service but my camera must not can record that long and I didn't know it so it's just until Roger walked up to get his quilt.

I didn't even know all this took place every year. Just one of many services when it gets close to Nov 11th. Most of my uncles  , plus my daddy , my brother and first husband served. By most of my uncles I mean lots because my daddy was one of 15.

The one with my Mom blacked out  next to him is my daddy. I had lots of Uncles that served during WW2. All of them came home!

None of them are alive now , my dad died in 1972.

But they all went and fought for our freedom. Then came home went to work and raised their kids.

I am proud of them all.

Anna's Quilt

Hi friends!

Yesterday I made the backing for Anna's Quilt.

Her quilt is under this!

Took it to the back porch and sandwiched it.

Now as soon as I get through quilting Michael's and Ashley's quilt I will have another ready.

Will have to starch and iron it today.

I stayed at home yesterday, not walking my track because I got three teeth pulled and Tommy would have a stroke if I did that.

Just about had one last night when I sandwiched that quilt.

If it was him it would be a different matter.

Petals

I started on the next pillow sham before my visit to the Dentist yesterday.

Have you ever noticed how people ask you questions when your mouth is full of cotton?

Made me a little XZzx!

Last night I made up some petals for Amy's quilt.

So I guess I will work on that today. Maybe get some quilting done to.

Suppose to rain this afternoon.

Michael and Ashley's quilt

Hi friends!

Started on Michael and Ashley's pillow shams .

Need to make the other one today.

I took the quilt and spread it out to see what I had quilted on it . Was afraid I may have goofed but It's good.

Try to get back to that tonight.

Got most of the right side done. About three fourth's of the way down.

Weekend Sewing

Hi friends!

I am going to applique these petals onto a white twelve inch  square. Just taking my time getting the petals ready.

So far I have done 17 squares.

I ordered my 30 yellow  solid fabric last week but have heard nothing from them. Going to use it for the flower middles.

Don't have to have it finished until  Christmas but it's going to be a  king so need to get all my supplies.

I checked it says pending!

Seems like I ordered a long time ago but it was the first of Nov.

Guess I just wanted it yesterday!

Did a little more on this , this past weekend. Hope to get some done today.

Petals

Hi friends!

Still making petals!

Pinned two squares yesterday after making up a bunch more.  Using eleven per-flower takes a bunch, so does a king sized quilt.

Spent some time last night quilting Michael and Ashley's quilt.

It's a big queen so it will take a while.

Maybe this weekend I will get some more sandwiched.

Tomorrow Sis and I are going to the yard-sale for some more fabric and some thread.

Tommy doesn't feel good so may just stay at home today and sew.

Rainy Day In Georgia

Hi friends! 

My finish's for this month.

Two wheelchair quilts.

This one that I finished the top bit haven't found a border so put it up for a while.

Yesterday while walking I took a picture of these trees.

One of the tree off of my trail. 

When we got up it was raining so I took another.

It has spread that gold more.

But my Bradford Pears haven't changed good yet.

We dug a ditch yesterday to protect the driveway.

After  we finished that we cleaned gutters!

I hold the ladder! And empty the bucket into the bucket on his tractor.

All that after running around for hours,
