Fall

 Hi friends!

It is finally changing down here in the South. Lots of our trees are pine and they never change color. Sun wasn't shinning when I took the picture!

We went to buy groceries this morning and a few shelves were running low! Couldn't find Hubby's crackers!

Had to just take what was there. Which wasn't much!

May get a lot worse.

Tree's are just now starting to change!

My fabric I picked out to make a new bathroom curtain

Feeling so much better that I made me that   new bathroom curtain.

I had been dragging for months, , not sleeping much ! Maybe 2 hours a night! But my Dr. said restless legs when Hubby told him how I do in my sleep so with meds for that I am much better! It runs in my family, my daughter has it! My aunt has it! Maybe our legs are allergic to cement floors and where can you work that doesn't have cement floors?

Last Rose, the deer hasn't been by yet to eat it off.

They usually keep that bush peeled, eating all the leaves off and it's just two steps from our back porch

Hi friends!

Well my baby got his baby back home! Just cost a couple of legs and maybe a arm! They just happened to find the parts in the USA and got them to mail them to him !  He said he had three tractors and had no idea when he would get more to sale.

It's been really good, it's nearly ten years old and till now no trouble.

We are seeing a few really close to empty shelfs in the store! Hate to see what it's going to come to!

Finished this to add to the ones needed at the nursing home. Would make a mans with bears and deer on it.

My computer has been down since the week-end. So no post!

This is what I did yesterday!

I had ordered some more diamond painting kits a while back and must have ordered these to, had fun working on them!

Not a  very good pictures but I have them on the back porch laying on the washer drying. They will be ready for my tree after Thanksgiving.

This is what I use to finish it.

I have had this forever, I may has bought it in Fla years ago when we used to go see Sis.

Delivering Quilt

Hi friends!

Today was the day we went to hand out quilts at the nursing home, of course we weren't allowed inside so they came out and got them to give to Vet's and to people that had no family to visit them up there.
 

When we got their it was decided to wait until their Christmas party to hand them out!! And we are going to make 8 more so every one that doesn't have any family will have one for Christmas.

We made all the veterans one each!

Back to the sewing machine to make another!

Hi friends!

My hubby is prepared!

So if the shelves are bare we will have some. 

We bought up our heat for the winter to! Now if he could just get that part off of the ships at sea to fix his tractor he would be happy.

He has called all over trying to find it at a dealers but no luck.

He wants to cut that field just one more time!  Me , I would let the frost get it!!!!

My Granddaughter got her package , send me a message that she loved it all, I sent her two aprons, a bowl cozy and a towel for her kitchen.

She is one of my sweet babies, years ago I keep her and her sister and before that I keep her brother.

I am blessed to have 22 of the best grands in the world.

As you can see it doesn't look like Fall out there! Not much color change! A couple of tree's are shedding but that's about all!

I am still ironing a few pieces of fabric now and then!

Looking for something to set me on fire!!!!Tommy is watching the race that got transferred to today!

 Did a bit of ironing over the weekend.

My thinking being it would take up less room, haven't done enough to find out for sure!

Have been working on this for a week but you can't tell it! A very colorful diamond painting. It has a Christmas tree, a Christmas window and a Christmas fireplace along with Santa

  About a inch on the bottom is full but that's all, another inch is here and there!

Grand maws!

 Dear friends!

This is one of the aprons that I just mailed off to my baby grand in New York City.

Sparkly and slightly Christmassy!

The second one is Christmassy to. Christmas stars!

She send me a email wanting a apron so of course grand maw has to make her two.  Right? I added a bowl cozy and a oven towel in with it and send them off this morning.

Those envelope's just don't hold enough!

 Hi friends!

One of my babies wanted a apron so of course it will get mailed tomorrow. Love my 22 baby grands even thro the youngest has graduated High School!

As hubby says' I have more fabric then Walmart!'

We went to Walmart this morning to pick up a few things and one bottle of pills! 117 dollars worth later we came out! No Fabric! And that  isn't counting the money for my bottle of pills!

Men can really fill up a buggy and not want you to spend any!

Slow But Sure

Small pieces of scraps are being cut into what ever size square I can get out of it!

Only got three shelves ironed so far, thought I would try to stay ahead of the scraps and cut them as I go. In the back ground are two wheelchair quilts for the nursing home. May not even allow us in to give them out!

Still checking it for unfilled holes!

Tractor Troubles

Hi friends!

Still ironing every chance I get, putting to small pieces on my table to be cut into squares. I have got to do something to get to much into my book cases.

Yesterday we spent all day just about waiting for the wrecker to get here and carry Tommy's tractor in to be fixed.

It was about 3 when this was taken!!!  This was after he spent all day Sat. working on it! They said it might be a fuse.

We got up early so Tommy could get there as they opened at 8 oclock.

Now he is just waiting to see what it will cost to get it back...... running, We have had it about 10 years with no problems.

Other than that all is well  with us! 

Covid 19 is running very high here in our tiny county. So we are going only when we have to and wearing our masks.

Radon Things

 Hi friends!

 Blurry picture but the best I could get from the back porch. Our resident Deer Mom and her twin babies. They were playing and jumping all around her!

I have been ironing fabric , trying to get more in a smaller space.

Added small borders so It would be the right size, the size I wanted it! It's a little long but the Vet might be tall!

Today I plan on doing a little more , It needs ironing and sandwiching! 15 minutes a day works out great!

   The other day Tommy went out to cut and five minutes later he was back , dripping! It had started to rain!  later that day he tried again but the same thing happened! I looked out during the rain and he was under a tree down in the field. He finally gave up! But today he is going to try again! Wish him luck!

Book Review

Hi friends!

This is one of the "Bones" books, you know the t.v. show!

Tempe does a drowning and it turns out he[John Lowery] has been dead since1968. But he was in a grave in Canada.
Then another set of remains are found and it has John Lowery's dog tags?  Ryan joins her in Hawaii to do some investigation into this strange happening. bringing his daughter and Tempe has her daughter with her! Most of the book the girls can't stand each other.

"Spider Bones" by Kathy Reichs. written in 2010

Love all her books and this one doesn't disappoint!

Top Finished

One Veterans Top finished!

Measured  93 by 52 , so I need to add some borders to the sides. Right size is 90 by 60.

Still working on my snowman!

Might Finish this month some time.

Covid is raging here but I was the only one in the store with a mask on!

Veterans Quilt

Hi Friends!

Got some labels because mine were all gone! Got these from "EverEmblen". Great ! You can get sew on or iron on. Proud to add them to my quilts.

Today is Labor Day, we are retired but we worked many years. Back when I was packing diapers and getting kids ready for school before I could go to work seems long ago. Even my grandkids are all out of high school. The youngest last year.

Got this far on my veteran's quilt over the weekend.

Hopefully will get those stars finished and joined and added to the bottom. 

Then my top will be done.

May not be able to hand it to a veteran but if not I will see about getting one to some one that served in the war.

Couldn't go any where last year, now it's worse!
