T-shirt quilt

Hi Friends!

Made some in-roads yesterday, but I think it will need another row made up. One more row of blocks than I have put together.

 

Now I have three rows sewed together.

Trying today for a forth row, may have enough to make a fifth row but we will see and find out how many more blocks I need to make. I think I will need at least 6 rows  to get it long enough. Kelly's boys are tall!

See how many I can get together today!

Ran into a girl yesterday  that had had Covid and she was still dragging . Didn't get close , just said hello and hoped she got better fast.

Stay safe! It's terrible! My sis-in-law is still sick with it.

Sunday Company named "Belle"

Hi friends!

Sis came over and brought "Belle"

She is one bundle of high energy.

She found her favorite spot where she could see car's go by the house.

Her shirt says "who's your doggie".

I didn't get much sewing done yesterday but "Belle" entertained us.

Sis has two other dogs she left at home , they are getting old. So she bought Belle  a year ago. A different breed than she usually buys . Don't ask me what she is , I can't remember. Her other two are Shih Tzu's.

Belle is a larger breed and her nose is not flat.

Had to put this one on here to!

I did work on this Saturday.

Made that recipe that Dawn sent us before Christmas with all our Christmas gifts.

Makes very good cookies! 

Better for you because of the brown sugar instead of white.

Got this second row done on Sat.

Now need to get to work!

 Hi friends!

Hope everyone is home and safe.

Hubby had a apt. at the eye Dr. yesterday, I carried a book and my kindle expecting to have to sit in the car but when he went in he called me and they had said come on in! They are not taking people close together so there was just two people in there and one of them lives up the road from us.

He was getting new glasses I would guess since they took him over to be fitted for new ones.

The other was a lady that had moved here from Calif.   She was saying how beautiful Ga. was . Our mountains have trees on them. I flue to San Diego in 93 and their mountains are bare!

My niece lived there at that time.

When her hubby was off on his ship for months she came home and we burned up the roads visiting places near enough to drive and get back home that night.

One time we went to a under ground sea!

I worked two nights and then was off two days so we had plenty of time to see things.

That's me in the middle holding on  to my bag  straps with Mel to the right of me.  Has to be older then 25 years because It was from before mine and hubby's marriage. We will be married for 25 years This August 9th. I was still on the night shift because on one trip we watched a movie and I went to sleep! Sleep right through it!

This ,they took us on a boat ride into the underground lake and we could see fish with no eyes.

Weird!

Thinks are looking rough here so many sick with Covid. We are just staying home

Sent our grandson Hagan home from college this week , covid!  Son-in-laws Father is in ICU with it. Please pray.

Started putting it together

Hi friends!

Have tried this two ways, making it on the block or making it before sewing it on. This is after sewing part of it on.

 

It Shows good on some parts but not as good against the red shirts.

Any way I  worked on it all afternoon yesterday and finish one strip.  Sent Kelly a picture and she liked it but ordered some more things for Blake's kitchen. He is the second son and he is moving.

Got on run done today I start on another.

 Hi friends!

Hubby just came in from getting the mail and said it was spitting snow! But we are going no where today, Temps are dropping all day and it's just at 40 and it's has dropped since morning  !Suppose to get into the teens tonight, but I remember when It was 3 degrees in the early mornings. When we used to head out to my sis's in Fla at 5 Oclock in the morning. or when I went in to work.

Working every day on this at least half a hour sometimes a couple of hours.  Not in any hurry ! Kelly is sweet so as long as I finish it in another month I am sure she will be fine with it.

Just about got enough of these to start putting together.

This was when I started on it yesterday. My Flowers!

Still working on this, beginning to look like it may go into next month.

Abby brought over our Christmas:

Tommy's girls, my step-daughter's but I have been married to their daddy for nearly 25 years so my girls to!

She brought us two Hugh bags of cleaning and bathroom supplies, she knows that groceries are getting way to high. Plus face creams for me .

We do have the sweetest girls.  My daughter for Christmas got me a Hugh bag of things to. One of those .

It's nice not to have to dig thru the cabinets for these things. And I won her bag for dirty Santa and got another load of things. 

Have you ever been on the site "salesaholic.com" Don't hold me to that spelling! But you get a idea of what to look for . Coupons brings the prices way down, I  so far I haven't bought anything...... yet!  MY daughter was the one to tell me of that site.

Check it out some really great buy and no they don't know me from a hill of beans! So I get noting for telling you this.

Problems

Hi friends!

Still working on this!

 Having all kinds of problems getting med's filled and drug stores are to.

That's a bad problem!! Still haven't got the pills filled but hopefully soon. I have called the drug store and called the DR. office seems like a million times and it's still not filled.

Had that trouble two weeks ago with my test strips to check my sugar every morning. So now that's fixed for this time but Another one is out of med's at Walmart so   hopefully Dr. will call it in to CVS. I should know tomorrow.

I guess the the problems of shipping has made it to our small town.

Stay safe friends Covid is spreading more and more here. My sis -in-law has it now praying for her to recover 100%. They have had two of their shots but not their booster.

Mask up every one and pray that it stopped the spread.

Working Away

 Hi friends!

Going to take a few more , wouldn't you say?

Put a few more together last night and cut a few more!  Don't want to cut shirts that I want use in the quilt.

Trimmed all the one's I have got together so far .

Every day I work for a while on this but looks like it takes me a least a month to finish!

Still lack a bunch to finish!

It does help to clam your nerves and sometimes you really need help with so many dying and so many sick with covid.

But we stay at home mostly. We get groceries and pick up our pills. And that's it!!! And always wear a mask when around crowds. Like in Walmart!!!! Keep six feet away!.

Tommy wants to see the food he buys so we shop for that. He fusses at me for hugging people so I have quit that until this virus goes away, which may be NEVER!

This and That

Hi!

Last nights sunset!  We have beautiful ones even though we are in the mountains. Or at the foot of the mountains.

 

Still working on this , spent over a hour on it before stopping to watch the news! They are saying maybe more snow this weekend? Or maybe not! They don't know!

Wouldn't mind a couple of inch's , that trace didn't do it!

Started trimming on the ones I have made so far.

They told over our news that 99 people in our small county have died from Covid!

Working and Playing

Hi friends! 

Did work for a while yesterday on that t-shirt quilt.

I may have enough to start putting the top row together. Some will be a little longer or shorter going by the size of what's on the shirt.

Thinking about going around each one with a little bit of red to bring out the red on the shirts.

Seems like I used navy on both of the other ones but don't want to make it to pretty because Boys don't like that.

SNOW?

Hi friends!

We got lots of big flakes but it had rained so much that they just hit water and melted.

 

The temp's stayed to high to do much more that this:

Late yesterday we got a dusting.

Then it stopped and we didn't get any more.  And some time hoping we got a little more snow.

I spent some time working on this!

My latest quilt, A T-shirt quilt for a Child of My daughter-in-laws sister, Kelly, this is her  third boy and third T-shirt quilt I made for her, One more boy after this!

Three days I have gone to get my med's and so far and they don't have them !!!

I am about ready to change Drug stores! It's a pain when every day they tell you tomorrow.

Seven years ago, 2014!

Maybe! They are saying there is a slim chance on Sunday of snow.
