Spring?

Hi Friends!
Started raining here at 4 o'clock this morning,
and Yes I was still awake!

Tulips are coming up!

And these are blooming.

I call this a yellow bell but I am sure that's not the name for it. I have three of these but the ground was so wet this is the only picture I took. I have seen these blooming and covered with snow before.

Still got a few of these blooming. When My son lived here he brought me some of these , they were planted many years ago at the home place where he built his house. Old timey yellow daffodils.

My Bradford pear is still trying to bloom.
So it may be spring!
Some one said on Facebook that we were going to get a snow in March! But you never know!
Said the farmers almanac said it?

Last Part!

Hi friends!
I worked on this last night!
The just 15 minutes a day takes the pressure off and makes it enjoyable again.

The other side and the middle is to small for another block so I added more baseballs.

Another finished top!
Maybe I can find some backing for them both today and get them ready for sandwiching.
Not raining today and we have had two beautiful days of sunshine but Tonight it moves back in again for three days . We went for Tommy to take that test on Friday and they said he didn't have to have oxygen right now! Good News!
Then Sat. I went with my Sis and Brother to Marietta for one of our cousin funeral.. We were gone most of the day , left my house at 9:30 and got back at 4: O'clock. After going for two days we sleep late yesterday and missed Church but right now with this virus going around that might be a good thing.
Tommy has COPD and I have a hole in my heart so maybe we should just stay away from crowds for a
while.

That's the truck that didn't want to stand right!
Took it off and redid that row.

Then put most of them back.

Still have to put the fourth and last row back together.
Well the latest news is a case of the virus in Rome!
I am wondering if it's been here all alone and we just didn't test for it?
The stock market is down but all our money is gone so who cares!
This virus may put us into a recession!
Maybe things will look brighter next week!

Scraps!

Hello Friends!
I have been waiting since Christmas for this to get empty.

Strips!!!!
I just finish one big quilt and that was the second one I made from my strings,  now I have nearly enough to make another.  Multiplying strips!
Thought I would make a mug-rug so I was trying out fabric.

May finish that today. Or find something else to work on.
May try again to finish the Twins quilt top!
Maybe today it will play good for me!
Nasty rainy day here! But the sun is suppose to shine one day before it clouds up again.
This has been the rainiest winter I have every seen.

Taking Apart

Hi friends!
Got this out and looked at it, noticed the truck was upside down.
So to the couch it went.

Need to make at least one more block.

So I made that and used Jack the ripper on the other. All the sewing related things I did last night!
Maybe by the weekend I will be sandwiching.

My Bradford pear has started blooming!  Just hope it doesn't get covered with snow!
Maybe spring is here!

Pray For Nashville

Hi friends.
Pray for Nashville , so far 19 dead. It was two tornadoes that cut a 150 mile swatch . Plus Ga. now has two sick with the virus. Now 21 dead.

My sis brought over two bags, stuffed Sat.! This is one of them.
This a is the bag of scraps. I had been working on emptying it before I took this picture.

Great Grand # 16

Hi friends!
Our newest!
Meet Maverick Jones!
He refused to wake up the whole time they were here.

We had a get together yesterday and played "pass the baby"
But he wouldn't wake up!
Sis came over Sat. and brought me two big bags  one of scraps and one of  larger pieces of fabric.
I went through the bag of yardage but I still haven't gone through the small scraps yet.  Good thing to do this rainy damp day.

Fighting with A Quilt

Oh well it's the weekend so I can play with it maybe Sunday night.

Going to take the top row off and see if I can adjust it but didn't really want it bigger.
Just the way things go when you see it in your head!

The twins mother was on face book this morning asking for prayers for the twins, didn't say what kind of problem she was having.

Second Twin Quilt

Hi friends!
We went to look for Tommy a pair of shoes yesterday! We found me a outfit to wear to the wedding and some other things and then  I hung on the buggy waiting for Tommy.
I love Hamricks for shopping for clothes and since we had already looked at every pair of shoes in our country , though we might find him some there. He did pick me out a real pretty outfit!
Nope he tried on just about every shoe in the store!
So I guess we will go to Rome next!

I made one block last night! I was tired!

But it's getting there!  Maybe by this weekend I can sandwich some quilts
Hopefully the twins will wait for me! Not due until July!

Twin Quilts

Hi friends!
Worked on this for a while Saturday.

Started putting it together.

One row at a time.

Joining each block then adding them to the main body of the quilt.

That's the first one and I started making blocks for the second one.

Yesterday we had company so I didn't get much done. Made plans for next Sunday.
Tell you more later.
It's still raining here today!
They said we had gotten about 25 inch's since Dec. the first.
25 inch's in three months and this month isn't over.
We may still float off!
Good thing we live on the side of this hill!

Two Twin Quilts

Hi friends!
We got a little snow yesterday but this was our temp!

When it quit snowing the temp dropped all after noon.

That light blue has a greenish tent to it.
Worked on it awhile

Sewed these together! Then made another light blue one.

Maybe I will get some thing done on these this weekend.

Still Raining

Hi friends!
Didn't have much time yesterday to work so I quilted this a little.
I'm sure you have days when it's one thing after another and it's to late to sew.

But at least I got my fifteen minutes!
Need to start working on the pillow shams that I am going to make with this quilt .
Haven't talked to Jessica since she graduated and now she is working but when I finish I will send her a message. Facebook is good for something!!!!!!!
That is a good way to talk to them, they answer when they have time!
Not waking up a day sleeper! Have no idea what hours she works!
She's My Daughter's oldest girl and a real sweetie and beautiful, inside and out. But all 22 of  my grands are handsome and beautiful!
Raining here !  We are suppose to have a dry day or two them rain again.
We are about to float away!
Glad we live on the side of a hill!

Dark Blue Twin Quilt

Hi friends!
That might be a little wide for a baby quilt, closer to a queen.

When I join them they want be this wide!

Today I will start joining them to see what I can do with all this blocks.
Kim came over and spent a few hours with us yesterday, had us laughing at the antic's of those two year old's she keep where she works.
Their at least 10 in her class.
Some of them are true comic's.
It was good to spend time with her, don't see our kids enough.
We are still getting free drinking water, don't have any idea when they will get it fixed.
We carry jugs to get some clean water for our coffee, have to have our pot of Go Juice every morning.
suppose to snow in the morning! We will see!

Finished Top

Hi friends!
I keep adding tops when I need to quilt for a while.

One thing, it will be colorful!

Using up lots of fat quarters that I had cut some off of.

Lots of solids to.

Now I have two tops to sandwich but I want to finish the twin's quilts first so I can do them in the order I need them. Don't want to run out of battening on a twins quilt.
Haven't even started working on the second twins quilts yet so I guess that's what I will be doing today.
Working on the twin's quilt.
Raining and messy today so we will stay at home!
