No sewing!

Hi friends!
Dr. office called me yesterday and called  me in  some antibiotic so hopefully I will get rid of this pecan with out getting the virus.
She thinks I have a inter ear infection.
Three days a day! Tommy had me using his neck heading pad that I ordered for him a few years ago.
I have kind of lost my desire to create lately so maybe it will come back when this goes away.. It went from a sore peanut to a pecan in a few hours.

Growing!

Hi friends!
Started sewing together strips last night.

Didn't get far!

Blogger is all messed up today. It like pulling teeth to get pictures on here.
I have what looks like the mumps in one side. Talked to the Dr. and they called me in some antibiotic.
Haven't been exposed to mumps lately not since my kids had them in the 60's and 70's .. Hoping these antibiotic work.
Haven't been sick, just feel stretched and it hurts .
Hopefully it will get better now.

Boy Quilt

Hi friends!
You have heard of 15 minutes of sewing... I do about one hour!

Of course this will draw  up when I sew them together. Plus I have to add to some of the rows of three inch squares. The longest rows are about right.
May start to sew them together today.
Beautiful sunny day here but storms tomorrow. In the 70's , this weekend 80's. Go right from heat to air! Mornings in the 30's just yesterday.
Never get the chance to save any money!
 At least sending in your list you don't order as much!

Third Quilt

Hi friends!
Worked on these this past weekend.
We just stayed at home all weekend. They have lifted the stay at home but we are in the range where it kills you so we will just stay right here.
We have 13 case's with one death.
That's a lot in our little town.

Got pretty low in my bucket so yesterday I started cutting again.

Still need a few more rows to get my size but it's getting there.

Third Baby Quilt

Hi friends!
Started sewing the 3 inch squares together last night.

Sewed the last one on wrong. So I quilt for the night!
Will have to take it off while the news is on after while.
I finished this book.

There she opens a inquiry shop. This book is after she gets it started and takes on Michael as her partner.
The railroad wants them to find out who is blowing up trains.
They travel separately so when the train blows they are separated. He can't find her anywhere.
She is hit on the head  but when she comes to she has been rescued by a Mormon who wants her to be his 6th wife.
I have enjoyed every one of her books that I have read!

Working on Baby Quilts

Hi friends!
My box is getting fuller, I have been cutting for my third boy quilt.
From fabric's that are not to girly. Three inch squares!

I am thinking I will make a blanket out of this. I hope it's big enough.
I worked yesterday on ripping out quilting on the second baby boy quilt so today I plan on re-quilting.

A Finish!

Hi friends!
One baby boy quilt done , two more to go!
Now to finish quilting the other one.

The other twin boy quilt is a darker blue.

The backing is the same for both quilts! A polished cotton that is hard to quilt. It's lite blue with blue square design in it.

Still cutting for the third one.

Fabric

Hi friends!
Sis cleaned her sewing room!
This is just two wash  loads of fabric that she brought me.

This bolt is a canvas type fabric.

This is the last of the fabric. The bottom one is a bunch of panels.
I have got to work faster! There was some blue just right for binding on the light blue baby boy quilt.
Now I just have to find some more room in my sewing room.
She stood at the end of the porch and we stood 6 feet away and I had the books I bough the last time we went to Ollies on the trunk of my car  and we swooped.
I think I got the better of it!
I figure with the easing of the restriction the cases will go way up but when we  went to get gas last Sat. the place was covered up. traffic was just as heavy as it always is! I think the older people are the only ones that are staying home. I think the young people don't think they will get it but lots of people under 65 have died from it.
But we  don't want to take any chances!

A little bit of Sewing

Hi friends!
I am down to hair scrunchies for Elastic. Ordered some Saturday but may be a while before it comes.
Just made this for me.

Kind of crooked but it will work.
I worked on twin boy quilts Friday and Sat. mostly ripping out quilting but I think they are now ready for binding if I can find some thing to bind them with.
The sun shined yesterday then the storms wasn't as bad as we were afraid they would be.

Need to clean up my sewing room and find some more boy scraps to cut up.
But after while we will call in a grocery order and pick it up.

Got my binding made and sewed down!
Now it's on the couch !

Got most of this one quilted yesterday. Looks like the couch is going to be full of them. My hand-stitching is slow!!
Should finish over the week-end , Quilting these two at least.
I have one more sandwiched and waiting for the quilting..

Hi friends!
I finally got around to sandwiching those baby quilts.

The twins are due in July but sometimes twins come early so I needed to get busy.
I am sure you have heard of "Wish" you can order all kinds of things from them. Well one day I saw a site selling thread! Nice big spools of our sewing threads!
Ordered some and today I got my order!

I put my rotary cutter on it to show the size of the spools!
Not what the picture showed!!!!
It showed nice large spools! Want be ordering from them again.
Hate being lied to!
Just hope it not rotten!

Jessica's and Richard's Quilt

Hi friends!
Been quilting for a little a day here and there on this quilt for one of my sweet beautiful granddaughters.
Still have to make the pillow shams to go with it.

Working on this to! Going to make a baby boy quilt out of these 3 1/2 inch squares.
Our Pastors sister is having a boy so I am working on it plus two twin boy quilts for Him and his wife.
Lots of boys !

Sunday

Hi friends!
They are thinking 3 tornado's hit here on Sunday.
One hit right about a mile and a half from us.Dropped some trees onto some house pulled up some more and then climbed the hill pulling up trees as it went.
Then it landed on the other side of the hill right on a trailer park. I haven't seen it yet but they were showing pictures of total destruction.
These are just on this side of the hill.

The worst damage was on the other side of our hill.
No one was killed so we are blessed.

Tornado!!

Hi friends!
Rough night!
They don't know weather three tornadoes hit here or one that was really moving. But they think 3!
But we are fine!
We sat in the hall in the middle of the house until it was over.
Haven't walked the land  looking for damage but since our power is still on then we were blessed.

Tommy was afraid it would blow the barn shed away or on his tractor so he put it on our covered porch.
They say 40 homes here were destroyed, but no lives were lost so we were all blessed.
I was on Facebook with my daughters all five of them and my sweet Angel in Texas and more Grand kids here during it all.
Facebook is great as long as your power stays on.

Reading and Sewing

Got my featherweight fixed , a thread was stuck behind the bobbin case.
Now it sews fine. so I made these. I think this one:

See how bad the stitches on the right are but on the left they are good. From the featherweight!

This may be the last book by Clara Benson on my kindle. I have read at least eight!
At least I am getting to read some good books, 
I have always loved to read.

This and That

Hi friends,
My featherweight started skipping Tuesday and usually I can get it to quit but it refused to stop and then yesterday my brother messed up. So I am still on the first mask that I started yesterday.

Our Christmas present from my sister has been working great.
I have named him "Leroy" a working little man!
I put him in the living room , turn him on and go out and close the door. Great when you need to do something else. I saw them at Walmart the last time we went before this mess started.

When the news get's to me I sit down and work on this. It does calm you down and that helps. I am a nervous eater and I don't need to eat!

Family Masks

Hi friends,
These are mask for Kim and her hubby Richard.

These are for their daughter Katy, who works at the prison and at CVS on the weekends.
I am out of all elastic and have used up all my binding  for ties.

Ordered this for Tommy. So he want have to touch all the junk that people throw out of their cars driving by.
He want have to touch that nasty stuff , can just pick it up and put it straight into a bag.
