Hi friends!

Still making Bowl Cozies! We use ours a lot!  I worked on them over a hour last night and hoping for more time today.

Getting a few more made today.

At least  making  one a day for our quilt. Trying to use what I have and not buy anything. I bought all last year for it and I have found that regular cotton stretch's more  than Batik.  So hard to get a tidy block!

Log Cabin Quilt

Hi friends!

Busy with Dr. aptts. so far this week . Just glad for a day at home!  It's amazing how tired you get from sitting in the car! Because they want let any one in but hubby. But I always carry my kindle with me and read. Then the weather man said rain all day today so Hubby wanted to buy groceries and of course the sun is shining! They are saying now maybe storms this evening.

I got a little sewing done here and there, made more Log Cabin Blocks for our quilt.

I have two tops I think that needs battening and backing and I keep planning on working on those but was just to tired yesterday.

Been making Bowl Cozies for all my grands to.

Going to have to get some address to send them theirs!

But first I need to make some more.

Sewing Again

Hi friends!

Looks creepy and weird doesn't it! Another cold cloudy day, we got sprinkles yesterday.

Making bowl cozies again , some of the grands wanted some more. This one is for big bowls to reheat supper.
I use mine a lot!  I think I need to make up some extra and just put them up.

Had four beautiful blooms from the other stalk and when these go away it will go into the fridge drawer.
 Hard to believe in a few weeks it will be spring, but I will be glad. Tired of all this grey weather.

Hasn't rained that much but we have had a surplus of grey cloudy days.

Going to get back to my sewing.

Cloudy Rainy Day

 Hi friends!

One of my first diamond paintings.

Going to start buying frames to put them in. I really liked doing this one.

Was going to give them for Christmas presents but didn't!

My storage for my diamonds! The two bigger ones on the bottom are from Walmart.

Sewing a little each day, Colorful Log Cabins, a quilt for us! This posting is so slow! Don't know why its so slow! But schools are down again because of Covid 19 so maybe two much traffic.

Log Cabin

Hi friends!

Didn't like the first one I did, regular cotton lights stretched. 

This one, lots more play in the white than the batik's.

I made the first part bigger and came up with this:

On this one the red center is three square but the strips are two inch's.

Looks lots better!

Need to cut some more lights so that's what I will do today!

Changing Pillow Covers

 Hi friends!

Time to change from Christmas on my pillows , the last of the  Christmas decorating's to go.

Not very spring-like but our sunny day has turned to clouds.

Just the first of the pillows to change. , The rest will be more spring like because in about six weeks it will began to look better outside.

Then I will make a new cover for this pillow to.

I still have a top that needs battening and backing  and quilting before I start on my log cabin quilt.

So I will make blocks for it very slowly.

Be so glad when spring arrives!

Frozen Fog

Hi friends!

Frozen fog!

That's what I got up to this morning and by the time I got out of the shower the sun had melded it off, then the clouds came out so another cloudy cold day.

I don't remember seeing this in my childhood!  And We waited for the school buss every morning !

We are lucky this month , our next Dr. apt. is not till the 26th. So we are hoping to mostly stay at home until our last shot.

We have lost 46 people in our county to Covid 19.

I have been cutting up my Batik's for my log cabin quilt. Hope I have bought enough but we will see!

If not I can order a few more.

Cold Wet Day!

 Hi friends!

Finished my five pink hashtags for the sew along with Soscrappy. blogspot.com.

All last year I bought Batik for a log cabin quilt for us. Now I am cutting it up!

Just about finished this one!

Right now it looks like I will have four blooms but the other hasn't opened yet.

This morning we had a 10 o'clock apt. to get our first vaccine and that went well , no reaction yet.

We go back next month for the second dose.  Maybe one day this virus will just be a Memory.

Random Things

 Hi friends! 

My  Birthday flower is now blooming! Has one more to bloom to bloom  out!

Nearly finished off another painting. Going to put frames on my list to finish one and hang it.

A towel my baby Sis fount for me.

Covid 19 keep me from attending Michael and Ashley's wedding so they gave us a picture.

We made a apt. to get our vaccine next week!  Sis was teasing me I might grow horns but we will see.

Gave one quilt this year to my sister-in-law. Christmas just wasn't right but maybe next year.

Joining Soscrappy!

 Hi friends!

The first of five blocks  following  Soscrappy blog, hoping this will get my sewing mojo back

Got the next one cut out but right now I am going to take ornies off my tree! Going to work on them today!

Election day here so I am un-decorating, since we voted  a couple of weeks ago in early voting.

Just pray that it not a mess like last time! We had no trouble here in our little county but they did in Atlanta.

Usually our county goes with the nation but was shocked at the Ga. votes ! Town may be covered up or not since we had three weeks of early voting and when we voted they were only letting in four at a time and we went threw in less then five minutes.

Now back to taking down Christmas décor.

Happy New Year

HI FRIENDS!

We had company yesterday and our Christmas gift from them was a wedding picture. Isn't it beautiful, we couldn't attend because of covid 19 but had planned on going for a year !

I will be so glad when Covid is gone!!!
