Easter

Hi friends!

Waiting for the Easter eggs to be hid.

Marvick, youngest of the great grands but he is soon to have a baby brother. He is our 16th! But lots of our 22 grands have not tied the knot yet so we could have many more.

Their were a lot missing but we all had the best time after not seeing them in so long! It had been longer for Tommy then me because of his COPD, he had stayed at home sometimes when I went .

We had a few littles to hunt so it was great fun . Every one of us forget about the golden egg!

Maybe this year will be back to normal for us. More Pictures tomorrow!

Pollen, Pollen Everywhere

 Hi friends!

 Finished quilting this so next step is binding.

That wind is blowing cold air but it always gets cold right  before Easter. One year it burned off the tops of all the trees and just the leaves on top turned black and fell off.

Pollen is thick! That's Tommy's truck and we drove it to town to get chocolate eggs's for Sunday. This is afterwards. 

I hate to think some blowed off!

He hosed mine down yesterday , my black car was yellow.

And my sinus's are complaining!

Suppose to get into the 70's by Easter Sunday

Well we are ready, all we like now is cleaning and cooking. Hoping to see all our grands that we haven't seen in so long.

Random things

 Hi friends!

Some of the fabric Sis gave me! But she just has three dogs and these are all cats!

Ironing it in a hope that I can tidy up my sewing room a little.

This is going to be a car seat quilt for my friend, it match's the baby quilt I carried to her last week.

A tool I ordered from the feather weight shop to fix my feather weight. Haven't quit gotten up the courage to work on it yet!

Shampooing carpets for our first get-to- gather since Christmas before last!

I can't wait ! Will see our last great grand !      Maverick , They are having another I think, a boy that I am about to start a quilt for.

Sewing and Diamond painting

 Hi friends!

Making double pot holders for two of my grand daughter's.

Then I am going to start making for our next great grands, a boy that will be born this year.

We only have a few of our 22 grands that are married and having children, so we will have plenty more as the years go on.  Only 16 right now so this will be 17! Our youngest grand is graduating high school this year so they are all old enough.

My son said his girls were always trying to get his double pot holder that I made them so I am making them some.

Doing some thing else for a good friend to!

Got to get back to making log cabins again because I still need a few of those.

The two smaller cases I got from the Diamond painting co. but the bigger ones I got at Walmart, Today I got this one.

These are for beads but they work fine for Diamonds , some of these colors has lots of shades!

So need lots of these.

About finished with this one!

Looking forward to doing another Christmas one after this.

Finished up a quilt for a good friend of mine!

She made the top and I just finished it up for her.

Thinking about making Michael a bowl cozy out of this fabric today., He want see this because he is working. He loves going  to see the  falcons play ! He is our Lawyer grandson. As you can see it's made fabric because these scraps are getting tiny.

Still making towels to give to my babies.

Spring!

 Hi friends!

Having so many problems with getting comments!  None comes to me! Not a one! I am trying to get it to working every day but no success as of yet.

 I have the binding made and pinned down so today should start to sew it down.  Maybe tonight when I stop and kind-a watch t v with my ears usually while reading a book

Does any one else do that? I really don't like t v but like the news so I have it turned on and hear it as I go. Not good for your blood pressure right now but I had rather read a good book!

Blooms are so pretty!

My Bradford pears are turning green right now, not quit as pretty as before.

These have started blooming as well. Love Spring!

Log Cabin Quilt

 Hi friends!

Well it had turned winter again! Just laid these blocks out to see how many I had already made.   Still need a few more , not long enough after you sew them together.

No pattern yet , but maybe next week if I get some more made. My colors are all Batik! Some of the light ones all to but just didn't find enough of the light ones to do all of them in it.

They were giving Covid shots at Walmart today and it was a crush. I had to pick-up  Meds so was right in the middle of it. Glad we got our's done with!  Even through it made me sick for about 12 hours.

Got up this morning to no internet or t v.! Just came back on! I bet we got at least one to two inches of rain over night.  Tommy may have to drive to the mailbox!

Around Here

Hi friends!

My ruler came and some fabric that was in my buggy already.  I have rulers hanging all over my sewing room.

Going to cut out some more bowl cozies today.

I need to cut out the bigger ones because people seem to like those better.
 I think the smaller ones are a little to small.

Last week Hubby got out with his tractor and moved a dead tree that the wind had blowed down. You can see it shattered when it hit the ground, it was that dead! He can't wait till he can get out side.

Losing my cousin has stopped any sewing , funeral today.

Sewing and Diamond Painting

Perfect sized battening!

Sewing backing together!  Great backing for this purple quilt.

This is headed for the ironing board! 

Maybe I will get it ironed and quilted today or this week-end.

This is the diamond painting that Julia-Rose, https://julierosequilts.blogspot.com/  sent me that got me  in  to these .

I got low on them and this one is big, so I figured it would last till the others got here and figured a month but they came the next week.

Beautiful flower!

At least we can say our hobby's are low priced.

I think those four I got the other day were 5.00s apiece.

I have seen some at 2:99.

Sewing anf Books

Hi friends!

Backing for a quilt that I need to sandwich, lost it for two days but finally found it. I had put it on top of a hugh pack of paper towels.

 Taller than me!

Sis came over day before yesterday, she had been cleaning her sewing room and brought me four trash bags full of fabric, the last of witch is in the dryer right now.
I need to get back to making bowl cozies for my grands!  And to quilt that purple quilt. Got another with every thing ready to sandwich .

I have lagged behind in my sewing but read lots of books lately.

Sis took these home with her yesterday, most of these I bought at Ollie's.
 Nothing interesting in my stack of books right now so maybe I will get some sewing done.

Going to have to get some more towels and pot holders!

Hubby thinks I spend so much money on my hobby's but haven't spend as much as he did for his john deer and his tractor, not by a long shot. Might catch up after another hundred years!!!!

Need ToDo!

Hi friends!

My sweet friend Dawn sent me this a while ago and I have been planning on making some for grands!

Got a couple of towels and pot holders the last time I went to Walmart. 

Just need to get back in the sewing mood.

Got this because it was pretty!!!!

Good enough reason, right?

Hoping now that we got our shots maybe we can go back to church!  Just have to convince Hubby that we can.
