Third Wheel chair Quilt

Hi friends!

This is two thirds of the third one.

I think my sewing tomorrow will be on the great grands sons two quilts.
 

Got some blooms on my magnolia tree.

Tommy had to cut the top out of it one year when we had a bad freeze before Easter.  All the trees top leaves turned black and fell off.on all of our trees.

My aunt Jo and some of her grands. We went by there yesterday and took her some books, she had rounded me up some to bring home with me.
We are a family of readers! My mom was and Jo is her baby sister. She used to go to Rome years ago with me and my mom to get books.Before Mom died!

Second WheelChair Quilt

Hi friends!

I got this sandwiched and then did some wavy line quilting.

 

But then I did one and it folded up with me!

So today I hope to take that out and finish it up and get some binding on it.  May just sew the binding on both sides.

Have had a bad morning, I called the t.v. service and talked to a very hateful girl that I could just barely understand.

We pay enough for them to hire a American!

Family Reunion

Hi friends!

This is my sis-in-law and my cousin's wife Ellen.

 

We though at first we were not going to have many but then it filled up!

So we ended with with a big crowd!  My daughter came!

The weather was great but I ran out of energy taking a new blood pressure med. so we left before 3.

Making Wheelchair Quilts

Hi friends! 

Didn't show the eclipse very well . But I tried!

Worked on this Saturday afternoon!  All it needed was binding and I had picked that out..

Didn't take long to sew it together and press it. Then sew it down on both sides.

Some little old lady that loves cats would love this so I cut it out.

I picked out a backing but haven't got to the sewing machine yet.

Random Things

Hi friends!

Worked on this yesterday because the internet was down ... Again!

So I worked putting diamonds into the case that my daughter bought me.
 

I cut this for binding for this!

That will be one wheelchair quilt finished!  Hopefully this weekend.

Finished this!

And started this one!

 Want to make me some more curtains soon to, So far I have made new ones for the kitchen and bathroom.

A littl sewing

 Hi friends!

Another boat block!

Our quilt club "Q-Bees" is making some more quilts for wheelchairs for the nursing home.

Yesterday I noticed this fabric.

Sis had bought it last year but didn't get  a binding on it,. It came from Walmart so we went to get some pills and I looked but they don't carry it now!

So I will put a binding on it and make a few from scratch.

We go with a list to Walmart and any thing they don't have we buy some where else. If we can find it! Mostly I will look on line!

Walmart is the only place close that carries fabric!

Two GG'sons Quilts

Hi friends! 

Cooked the pot pie yesterday for supper.

Pretty Good!

Of course Hubby said it wasn't as good as my home made ones.

 

Made another block for the boys quilt.

At this rate they may be graduating school before I finish!

Surrendered them with green fabric. This might be big enough with a border for one of the quilts.

We will see , I may still add another boat block!

My daughter got me this , It should hold lots of diamonds!  They are small but deep!

Mother's Day

 Hi friends!

Son, Chris, on the left, then my daughter  Karen, They lean the same,  and right is Amy ,Chris's wife.

 We were waiting for a table at Red Lobster. Didn't have to wait but for 30 minutes.

They let me pick where I wanted to go and I hadn't been their in 2 years. But when it's rushed like it was yesterday it's just not as good.

Chris and Amy got me a big Chicken pot pie and those flowers to.

My daughter got me this

The small box is a holders for Diamonds.

Karen was the one that got me 6 diamond paintings for Christmas.

Why they bought me things when they we taking me out to eat, I don't know!

But I really enjoyed spending time with my babies!

Rain

Hi friends,

Didn't rain much but the wind blew a bunch of limbs off the trees' so I went out and helped hubby rake them up but I think it's going to rain some more and it will be to do over.

Going to make some kind of block and them put 12 inch cuts of this between them. inspiration had not hit so I will just do it that way.

Some times ideas just don't come!

Maybe i will at least get something done to them!
 Getting older and slower!!!!

Flowers Blooming

Hi friends! 

So far the deer hasn't taken notice of my rose bush that my mother bought for me years ago.  It's got buds on it even through it sits in a ant bed.
 Every where I have made flower beds the ants have taken it over!

All the other roses I have planted have been eaten to the ground! Kim and Richard got me a multi-colored  rose one year and we put a cage around it but they eat it to . Don't look like they would want those prickly  things in their mouth.

The yellow flags are now starting to bloom. It amazes me that purple blooms first then yellow and finally white!

As soon as they finish Hubby mows them down.

We are staying at home today so maybe I can work on those to quilts! We went to vote yesterday, early voting here in Ga.

Get out and vote , It's the only input we have in this crazy goverment.

Sewing!

Hi friends!

Air conditioner time! 

We have been using the big one near our bed room  at night for a week! But when you have a hubby with C.O.P.D. As soon as the temps. get above 85 with humidity it has to go on!

Weekend Sewing

Hi friends!

This is the fabric that goes with this!

 

My sis opened a quilt kit and then didn't work on it so she rounded up all the pieces and gave them to me.

Along with all the other quilt kits that she had bought thru the years!

So this will make a great quilt for little Brad, the other one will be for Marvick , his older brother.

Brad will be a year old in Oct. I think!! Making them both a twin quilt.
