Sis and I went for our shopping trip and you see we always hit JoAnn. She needed backing for a quilt and I needed some boy flannels. Found this and it was on sale!
This are the two boy flannels I bought to.
And while I was gone the mail man brought me this.
The batik is for a quilt for us! The other just because!
We also took 8 bags of books to McKay's to exchange. Came back with four or five bags! Should last us a while.
As a nod to our past we went to eat at Waffle house because they do breakfast to order.
Our Mother taught us to love grits poured over eggs with the yellow running. I know it's a no-no with the yellow not completely cooked but we love it, so that's what we had for lunch.
It was so good!
Then we hit Hamricks! I got four or five tops and a pair of dress pants plus some half boots and Tommy a shirt for 81 dollars! It was seniors discount day and they were having a sale.
Since I took up quilting as you all know I don't buy clothes! I was seriously in need!
I just buy Fabric! And I hate to make my own clothes.
I enjoyed the day a lot.
Have a good one

Pretty fabric acquisitions. Wow that is a lot of books to turn in. Sounds like a fun time with sis.
You sure did go shopping - books - clothes - supplies - you must have been out all day in the cold!
Sounds and looks like a great day trip--I don't buy clothes much either...and I need to--Pretty fabrics hugs, Julierose
Nice outing with your Sis. Great fabric purchases.
Awesome day shopping and yes you do deserve a splurge. Fun to have a partner in crime to go with too
Glad you had a nice day out and got some great deals too. I don't stitch my own clothes anymore. I'm pretty sure the clothes I have will last until I die..unless I gain weight.
Be Warm.
xx, Carol
