One of the first quilts that I made for my Hubby. Cheater top! In other words it came in one piece tractors and all. All I did was sandwich and sew together.
Yesterday we came back from town, I got out of the car and was attacked by a bee or more than one because I have at least 3 stings on one ear!
Then it attacked Hubby , got him on the hand. After a while Abby came over and it chased her into the house. Hubby put a end to him!
Never a dull moment!!!
Abby brought us some things to put on our stings that sure did help
I was surprised that it worked so fast.
So we are prepared now! Hubby is always getting stung because the bees are so bad this year.
Not so good news, Covid is really bad here now. Just hope it doesn't find us!
Have a great day

Vet go longer than Lawyers!
My daughter still has three in collage , two work part time and live with her. . But Wayne lives near Atlanta and goes to collage down there. They are all so smart.
After my first hubby died I went but mostly to learn my way around computer's., I didn't want a job at computers, I was working production and made more that way. My daughter went to but found out she could make more staying at her job than working for the State. She has that diploma if she ever needs it.
My kids all inherited loving to learn from me!
Got my results back from yesterday but they want to redo the test and check and see if my numbers are still going up! May be next week!!
Have a good one

This Crepe Myrtle is old, Hubby's mother planted it and it sheds it's bark every year.
This is the next day after hubby cut them up with the lawn mover. Bark hanging here and there.
This morning I had a apt. with the MRI folks. Want know the results for a few days.
Mt stomach is always sore and my last blood work my Liver en-zines were a little high. He plans on finding out why. It has been sore for years so don't think it's any thing to worry about. My mother had a fatty liver, my son has one and so does my Sis. But we will see!
Done a little sewing but mostly looking for fabric's to use in a couple of veterans wheelchair quilts.
It's amazing when you aren't looking for it would bite you! Then when you look for it can't find it for nothing.
Have a wonderful day

20 years ago when I painted this room , it took 3 coats to cover the marks my son made for son-in-law to put in plug ins.
Today Hubby is enjoying this job!
I will just be glad to get back onto our bedroom.
Our bed is in the dining room next to the kitchen. See our new kitchen floor! We chose a dark color so our white trim would show up. My camera doesn't show the right color but this is close. I will post more later.

Six finished! Still one more sandwiched , when I get that one finished I will make some more and sandwich them. We still have until Oct . to have them ready and I want to make at least 10!
We were on the road yesterday, I had a apt. in Rome with my dermatologist, Dr Julia , results were good so I go back to be checked next July. Then we went a got a steak at "Long Horn". Then hit up "Ollie's" for some books. Their books went up a dollar a book! . But That is cheaper than in our town. Then we took the long way home and went to Cooks! Bad news! No rain in sight and their farm is failing.! We may not be able to get any more tomato,s
Chattanooga put their masks mandates back in effect! So our trip may be the last for a while. They say covid 19 Number 5 is not good! And is spreading like wildfire right now in big cities.
Stay safe and have a great week end

Friday Kim was over here , while they were working on the house and a big storm came up. Lightening struck the pines next to the drive way.. Knocked this bark off and burned it !
She brought Richard over to see the floors yesterday. My kitchen looks so much bigger now! I noticed when we went to see Missy's hers made her room's look bigger.
The darker does, the blonde doesn't!
One great thing about having your son-in-law do the work, when he worked on the kitchen , he brought us breakfast!
He knew the stove was UN-pluged?
May soon we will get things put back soon!
Have a great day

My kitchen!
Not the same color of flooring but we picked these because it's suppose to be water proof. And all kitchens need all the help they can get.
Maybe tomorrow I can get every thing fixed back to normal but can't turn the water back on till Son-in-law finds the right fit'tin g for the water.
That's a Southern word for pipe! Or something relating to plumbing!
You can see all the things on top of the counters, well it's like that all over the house.
We have had to pile 6 rooms worth into three..
But the end is in sight!
Have a great weekend

My new floors are beautiful.!
Got two of them done so far. One more to go!!!
A pot of pinto's on cooking, In my pot that was on sale. So far I have loved every thing "Pioneer woman" that I have bought! I get nothing for saying that!
Last night we went late to get water, ours went off! And the watermelon's were marked down from 8 dollars to 3 something so I grabbed one , hope they didn't mark them down because they weren't good!!!
Hope to get both rooms painted next week and get things back to where we can find them!
We are so piled up that you can't find any thing. Even my sewing room is a mess but it usually is when I am working on lots of things, and I am! Making two g.g.s a quilt and , working on the 4th wheelchair quilt.
This is the second one of these, about to make a binding.
Have a great week end

Tomorrow they will start putting down the plank looking flooring. They would have today but didn't have the right nails for the nail gun!
I left two of my machines with the repair man yesterday in Rome, when we came back from buying groceries this morning. Looks lots better then it did yesterday!
He had left us a massage saying they were ready so we had to drive down there to get them.. He is the best person to work on them but told me today he was 89!
Talk about a smart phone!!!!

This is number three! Number two is not quit wide enough so I plan on adding some strips to each side.
The two rooms that we are having to re-floor.
How we got so much stuffed into those two rooms I will never know!!!! We have just lived here for 22 Years!!!
Of course the job is much worse than we though it would be! Hubby's parents built to close to the ground and they had never heard of "moisture barrier".
Hubby and I moved most of that heavy furniture to other parts of the house over the week end. When you take it apart it moves a lot better but our bed is now in our dining room. And he will be 80 next month and catch up with me.
Well we needed the exercise.!!!
Soon we will be to old to work on this house, we are already out of money!

but those who hope in the
LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
The next quilt for the nursing home! Sandwiched and ready to iron and quilt!
My house is a disaster!!!
We have moved a lot of things ,we are planning on redoing the floors 0f two rooms on Monday.
Didn't know we had all this "STUFF" Putting lots in the garbage. NOT enough!
All from a crack in the cement that water was running off the porch and going straight under the house!Hugs
People are still getting Covid 19 here! But it's really going down. Babs
Wanted a pattern for one with a pocket so ordered this from "Lovie Lap Quilt" by Carolyn DiPerri.. Just what I needed.. Pockets that open from two sides. Her blog is "Homesewn by Carolyn"
We are doing some work on the house, Hubby and son-in-law that is. We has a crack in our cement on our big porch . The out-side end was where the two sides of the roof poured off so it forced lots of water under the house and it has messed up our flooring that we had put down 20 years ago . Three rooms are messed up!
While moving things we found this:
A 67 year old phone book.
Needless to say no sewing has been going on!!! But today I am going to sew!!! Got hubby to help me move some things so I could get to my sewing machine.
I am having withdrawal!!!
Stay safe Buddies

Sis and Belle came to see us Sat.
It's very hard to get a good picture of her! She is not a year old yet! Still a Pup!!And I think this will be the forth!
I was making one of my kids a quilt and Sis found this at a yard sale in Atlanta and got me enough to make a king sized, saved me from making that block but I will some day!
I think I have enough for two for the Nursing Home and another of the animals.
My sweet Aunt came over Friday with her daughter. Then my sweet daughter brought us a new T.V. that she paid for. For a gift to her step dad for Father's day
Two of my grandsons picking up a 20 foot pen for my daughter's new puppy. We had three pens from when we had our big dogs.
My daughter bought one puppy and it got run over so she bought another and we gave her one of our old pens so that wouldn't happen again. She wants to raise them.
Red tick hounds!
Love all six of my Kids!

My Tiger lilies are really blooming this year!
Right after Memorial Day Hubby got sick and I carried him to visit the Dr, Then I got it , not as bad, But I Just now feeling better.
We were both sick and the T.V. messed up, the computer went out so! Yesterday we gave up on the T.V. and ordered us a new one. And got my computer out of the shop.
I felt like I was living in the dark ages!
It's amazing how we depend on these things!
It's rained all week and hubby is out there getting his lawn mower ready to cut the grass.Thinking these two fabric's will make a great men's wheel chair quilt! I have two of the animal panels so going to make those up! I am a tad behind!!!!
