Quilt of Valor

Hi friends!
My wall is full.
One complete row!
Used up all my blocks so I will cut and make some more.
Now my quilt wall is empty.
The rules of Quilt of Valor is 65 by 85 or 90. It's going to be a big quilt.
Yesterday I went to walk my track and got bit by something. Three times!
My ear swelled up and turned red. When I felt it on me a took a swipe at it and made it mad so it bite me two more times as it left.
And my neck is swelled to below that . Hate when bugs bite me , they love me and come back for more, I had some cling-free sheets hanging on my glasses but they had been laying on my table on the back porch and the smell that keeps away bugs had left them.
I will use a fresh one today!!!
Have a good one
Hugs
Babs

Very pretty blocks. Horseflies have been getting me this year and they are so aggressive! I can't even go to mailbox without them chasing me. A few of them got in the house and they stalked me for an hour and half before I squished them the other day. They are smart. They dived at my face. They hurt. They bit me! Today when I went to mail box, I took my homemade spray with me. I sprayed myself down. It's a few drops peppermint essential oil,a few drops lemongrass essential oil, a few drops tea tree or eucalyptus essential oils and about an oz of witch hazel and about 3 oz water.
I spray it everywhere, everyday in the house and on me. It smells really good, I think. It keeps bugs away alot too, even spiders. I love it. I sprayed a horsefly that landed on our mailbox. It didn't come after me today!! Enjoy your day! :-) :-)

Love your stars. The quilt is coming together nicely. I have been getting bites too. Flies. Itch for days. Yesterday after the rain we transplanted some Asiatic lilies. Man, you should have seen the cloud of mosquitoes that flew up. I rarely go to work outside unless I'm covered in DEET. Every single day in our 7 day forecast has rain. Those that don't believe in climate change should come to Northern Indiana.

Have a great weekend.
xx, Carol

yep we sprayed for mosquitoes and the biting flies, and horse flies have been terrible. Love the quilt. I have one I need to start for the VFW.
